Even though more of the men in the WWE have starred in movies, the women have also represented well. From independent films to those from WWE Studios, many Divas have graced the silver screen. Frankly, I think there should be more of the lovely ladies on a 20-foot movie screen. The last thing I want to see is Triple H in Chaperone 2: Return of the Chaperone.

There's a lot of similarity between wrestling and movies. Obviously, the choreography that the Divas have to learn when they're wrestling lends itself well to a fight scene, or any scene for that matter. Already knowing how to hit their marks, project a character in front of camera, and memorize lines doesn't place them far behind an everyday actress.

Additionally, acting in movies is much easier on them physically. There's no diving between the ropes or back body drops from up in the air. Acting would be a great way to save miles on their bodies while allowing them to still be famous and pick up a large paycheck as well. Ronda Rousey has made some appearances in films, so there's no reason today's group of women can't crack the box office too.

I wouldn't be surprised if we'll see more Divas on the silver screen in the future.

15 15. Naomi

Although Naomi has only been wrestling a couple years in the ranks of the WWE, she already has fame and accolades. She came in second place during the third season of NXT and, since then, she has began a highly successful wrestling career. She's feuded with Paige, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, The Bellas Twins and many more. Currently, she's been out of wrestling due to an ankle injury, but that also has given her time to film a role in the WWE Studios movie The Marine 5: Battleground. This shows that the company has a lot of confidence in Naomi. She's one of the most athletic Divas of all time, and constantly finds ways to impress with her flashy move-set and acrobatic kicks. Certainly, this must have played a role in her getting the part. Also, it's a great foot in the door for Naomi and this could set her up for future roles.

14 14. Maria Kanellis

If there's one thing that Maria Kanellis, has, it's drive. She literally started out with no experience and has learned how to interview, how to wrestle, how to act, and there will probably be more to add to that list before she retires.

She does just about everything. She's wrestling in TNA, she had a podcast with her husband, Mike Bennett. She's been in school, working towards an associate's degree in art. One venture is not enough for her, so it's no surprise that she has graced the silver screen. In 2014, she starred in a movie titled The Opposite Sex alongside Kristin Chenoweth and Eric Roberts. Although it didn't make a lot of money, it's a step in the door for Kanellis, who transferred that experience into a role in The Getter, currently in post-production and Church, which is in pre-production. After she retires from wrestling, I think there will be plenty of roles for her in Hollywood.

13 13. Eve Torres

via eve-gracie.com

Similar to Maria, Eve Torres has dipped her toes in a little bit of everything. She is most remembered for her five-year stint in the WWE in which she won the Divas Championship three times. Since her retirement from wrestling, Torres is a spokeswomen and head instructor for the Gracie Women Empowered Self-defense program. That makes a lot of sense since she's married to Rener Gracie, the famous Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner. Along with teaching, Torres has made some appearances on various television shows and has also been in a couple of films including Queens of the Ring alongside The Miz and CM Punk. and Scorpion King 4: Rise of Power. Good heavens, Scorpion King movies are still being made? Anyways, Torres used that experience to land her a role in her first feature film. Skiptrace stars Jackie Chan, Johnny Knoxville, and Fan Bingbing. It will be released on July 22nd, 2016.

12 12. Gail Kim

via witneyman.wordpress.com

I think Gail Kim might be one of the most underappreciated female wrestlers in history. She was excellent during her time in the WWE, although they foolishly didn't think too much of her. Sadly, she only won the Women's Championship once. However, TNA has realized what they have in her, and she's a five-time (cue Booker T's spin-a-roonie) Knockouts champion and one-time Knockouts tag team champion. She will be the first female inductee of the TNA Hall of Fame and it is absolutely deserved. If she ever decides to retire, she does have acting to fall back on. Kim starred in the independent psychological thriller movie Royal Kill which came out in 2009. Even though that's the only movie she's starred in, Kim was excellent as the assassin character and could play something similar in a future role. I'm guessing that she could star in a cooking movie if her husband (Robert Irvine) every wants to document a career.

11 11. Maryse

The wife of everybody's favorite A-lister, her husband The Miz, Maryse has carved out a nice film career for herself if she ever wishes to stop being with the man who is AWESOME. Hopefully she keeps being a manager for another ten years, as Maryse has had a fantastic wrestling career. She's been involved in some memorable feuds and has won the Divas Championship twice. If Maryse doesn't want to continue to work with the WWE, she's got a ton of film credits to continue making her some money. She's appeared in Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No, Santa's Little Helper, Karla, Enter the Fist and the Golden Fleecing, and Isle of the Dead. In addition to her film career, she also has obtained her realtor's license and is working on a clothing and jewelry line. She's also pulling double duty managing The Miz and filming The Marine 5: Battleground alongside other WWE stars like Bo Dallas, Heath Slater, and Curtis Axel.

10 10. Summer Rae

via summerraedaily.net
via summerraedaily.net

Summer Rae is the first Diva on this list that is currently an in-ring competitor for the WWE. Although she hasn't won a championship, I'm hoping that changes in the future. Summer has excellent poise in the ring and definitely gets into her character, showing her believability. This is one of the main skills that is transferrable over to the world of film. Actors and actresses always mention that they need to "get into character" before shooting a scene, and it's no different in wrestling. Summer does a great job of that and I bet it's part of what got her a role in The Marine 4: Moving Target. Summer also did her own stunts for the movie, which I'm sure endeared herself to the director and the rest of the crew. Hopefully we'll see her in some other WWE productions in the future. I'm sure that after The Marine 5: Battleground, there will be at least five more.

9 9. The Bella Twins

For this entry, I'm going to focus on both of The Bella Twins (because that's tough to do) and their film career. Both Nikki and Brie have proved everybody wrong. When they came into the WWE, they were known as models who didn't have the drive to learn how to properly wrestle. Well, they certainly flipped that assumption on its head. Each of them has won the Divas championship, as Brie has won it once, while Nikki has won it twice. By the end of her wrestling career, Brie was known as a huge favorite. Though we don't know if Nikki will return, she was wrestling at the top form of her career before her neck injury. Both of the Bellas have appeared in the movie Confessions of a Womanizer. They also lent their voices to The Flintstones & WWE: Stone Age Smackdown! I'm sure that both of them would be more than willing to appear in other films to lend their voices as well as possibly gracing the silver screen again.

8 8. Kelly Kelly

Similar to The Bella Twins, Kelly Kelly was not exactly known for her in-ring prowess. However, she did manage to win the Divas championship and prove all of the haters wrong before she retired. While she was wrestling, she was able to manage her in-ring time with appearances on the television shows Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp, Clash Time, and Soccer AM. Since her retirement from wrestling, Kelly Kelly has continued to model, and is a cast member of the television show WAGS, which features a look into the wives and girlfriends of various athletes. All of that previous experience prepared her well for a foray into the film world. Since her appearances on the show, Kelly Kelly received and accepted a role in a feature-length movie. She is currently filming the movie Angel Investors, which is scheduled to be released in 2016. Hopefully we will see more of Kelly Kelly in the future.

7 7. Jacqueline

Evil_Jacqueline

One of the pioneers of women's wrestling, Jacqueline has won the WWE Women's Championship twice and she's the only woman on this list to win a male title. She won the Cruiserweight Championship against Chavo Guerrero in 2004 and managed to hold it for a couple weeks before losing it back to him. This strong performance surely was one of the many reasons that she was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, becoming the first African-American female inductee. Since her retirement from wrestling, Jacqueline has been able to get her name out and about in Hollywood circles. She's starred in Knight Fever, a detective film set in Los Angeles in the 1970s. Now that she finally has time away from wrestling after a career spanning twenty years, Jacqueline deserves to have some more acting jobs that don't require her to get hit with garbage cans and slammed to the ground.

6 6. Paige

via wwe.fr
via wwe.fr

In a very short time, Paige has began a remarkable career in the WWE. She's got a very unique look, a brutal offensive style, and, of course, a British accent. All of those characteristics and many more can explain why she is incredibly popular with wrestling fans. She won the NXT Women's Championship once and has won the Divas Championship twice. With as popular as she is, I wouldn't be surprised if she wins the Women's Championship five times or more in her career. So, Paige has got everything she needs to be successful in wrestling, but what about film? As we've seen on this list, the most successful film stars can get into character easily and Paige is no different. So far, she had a starring role in Santa's Little Helper, and is lending her voice to Surf's Up 2: WaveMania, which is in production right now. I would say that this is an excellent start to a film career for the 23-year-old.

5 5. Melina

via cagesideseats.com
via cagesideseats.com

Throughout her career, Melina showed that she had one of the most impressive offensive arsenals in women's wrestling history. She had a great look and image, and she portrayed her character perfectly. There's a reason why she won the Divas championship twice and the Women's championship three times. It seems that in every match, Melina busted out a move that had never been seen before. While she was wrestling, Melina appeared on an episode of Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp as well as Undateable and Cake Boss. She also made her first appearance in a film with a bit part in Adventures of Serial Buddies. After her WWE career was over, Melina continued to wrestle and has appeared in Lucha Underground and Japanese promotion World Wonder Ring Stardom. While balancing time in the ring, Melina managed to squeeze in a part in the feature film 20 Ft. Below: The Darkness Descending.

4 4. Sable

via ravepad.com

Right around the same time as Chyna, Sable began to make a name for herself in the WWE. Although she wasn't as technically proficient in the ring and had a completely different look, she was on a similar level of popularity as Chyna for quite some time. During her time in the WWE, Sable made appearances in multiple television shows, including Pacific Blue, First Wave, and Relic Hunter. This was perfect timing since after she quit wrestling in 1999, she had work to do. After her forays in television, Sable picked up a role in Corky Romano as a bouncer. In the next two years, Sable found parts in Ariana's Quest, The Final Victim, and Slaves of the Realm before returning to the WWE from 2003-2004. The call of the ring was too much for her to pass up. Since then, Sable has been relatively quiet, other than marrying Brock Lesnar. She is now a mother and grandmother.

3 3. Stacy Keibler

via wrestlersinhollywood.tumblr.com
via wrestlersinhollywood.tumblr.com

Stacy Keibler has done an excellent job of parleying her wrestling career into a very successful Hollywood career. Although she was never the best wrestling technician, her legs were phenomenal and she always looked like she was comfortable in front of the camera. That mindset surely led her to decide to branch out throughout her wrestling career so that when it was over, she had opportunities. Her comfort level was apparent in her tenure on Dancing With The Stars, where she place third. She's been in a bunch of different television shows including George Lopez, What About Brian, Psych, Blue Mountain State, Chuck, and How I Met Your Mother. In between all of her television appearances, Keibler had a bit part in Bubble Boy as well as starring roles in Fixing Pete and Dysfunctional Friends. Although Keibler doesn't have any film roles lined up currently, there's always a chance we'll see The Duchess of Dudleyville one more time.

2 2. Chyna

via blog.afgrant.com
via blog.afgrant.com

Chyna was one of the first females to exchange holds with the men of WWE, but she was also one of the first females to break out of wrestling and become a mainstream star. Her look was killer. There were no other wrestlers at that time who had her appearance. I was ten years old when Chyna was becoming popular and I knew she'd be able to beat me up no matter how big I grew up to be. She was an intimidating presence. But beyond her intimidating looks was a heart of gold. Although she could beat up men, she wasn't typecast in that role. In the world of television, Chyna made appearances on Pacific Blue, 3rd Rock from the Sun, and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. She used that experience to co-star in Just Another Romantic Wrestling Comedy and Illegal Aliens, with Anna Nicole Smith. Sadly, Chyna passed away earlier this year.

1 1. Trish Stratus

via cagesideseats.com

Quite simply, Trish Stratus is one of the most famous WWE Divas in history. It's easy to see why she's been incredibly successful at every venture that she's tried. She was fantastic on the microphone, excellent in the ring, and, of course, absolutely gorgeous. Along with those skills, Stratus was believable in whatever role the WWE threw at her. Whether she was a face or heel, confident or cowardly, Stratus always gave it her all and was successful. It's no wonder that she made a seamless transition from the ring to the motion picture industry. Before films, Stratus was part of multiple television shows and opened her own eco-friendly yoga studio. All of the qualities and skills that she developed as a wrestler certainly were in factor in her Hollywood success. Stratus was the lead actress and the star of Bounty Hunters in 2011. In 2015, Stratus took on a supporting role in Gridlocked.
