Top 15 Hottest Authority Figures In Wrestling History

In recent years, major promotions such as WWE and Impact Wrestling have utilized authority figures as a way to try and enhance storylines. While one can certainly argue as to how effective using these types of charters has been, authority figures don't appear to be going anywhere anytime soon. Fan' who have been watching wrestling for decades will remember authority figures like Jack Tunney, Eric Bischoff, and even Fritz Von Erich. In some cases, like Jack Tunney, these characters had no real authority beyond the character they portrayed on screen. However, others like Eric Bischoff also ran the show behind the scenes. While these authority figures all made their mark on the industry in years past, today's wrestling authority figures are quite different in many ways. In fact, many of these roles are now portrayed by women.

In recent years we have begun to see a rise in females who are in charge both on television and behind the scenes. They go by many different names: Commissioner, General Manager, and even Knockouts Vice President. Regardless of the title, these ladies are helping to change the way women are portrayed in the formerly male-dominated world of professional wrestling. These ladies are not only bold leaders; they are also often quite beautiful. With that in mind, here is a list of hottest female authority figures wrestling has ever seen.

15 Brooke Hogan

via salamandaa.blogspot.ca

Brooke Hogan is arguably best known for her role on the reality television show Hogan Knows Best. So in case you weren't aware, she is the daughter of the legendary Hulk Hogan. During the period when Hulk was working in Impact, Brooke signed with the company as well. She played the on-screen role of Consultant to the Knockouts division, which basically meant she was in charge of the match making for that particular division. From this role, she eventually transitioned into the infamous Aces and Eights storyline, which involved Brooke eventually marrying Bully Ray. When her father departed from TNA back in 2013, Brooke decided to join her dad and leave the company as well. Without her father's influence, it's unlikely that she would have been given her fictional role as an authority figure. Regardless of how she got the role, she looked good while playing it.

14 Eve Torres

Eve Torres had an excellent career as an in-ring performer. She has held the Divas Championship on three separate occasions and also won the WWE Diva Search contest back in 2007. Torres has also portrayed an authority figure on both Raw and SmackDown.

Torres briefly played the role of Executive Administrator of Raw. During that time she even kayfabe fired the Bella Twins. However, this wasn't the only time Torres got to play the part of an authority figure. She also became Assistant General Manager of SmackDown after she defeated another wrestler for the honor. While Torres had no real power behind the scenes, she played an excellent assistant GM when the cameras were rolling. She was also one of the hottest General Managers in either brand's history.

13 Maria Menounos

via chatterbusy.blogspot.com

The former star of Access Hollywood and The Today Show is a long time wrestling fan and has competed in several matches in the WWE. Her most memorable match was at WrestleMania XXVII, where she teamed up with Kelly Kelly to take on Beth Phoenix and Eve Torres. However, she was also an authority figure for a very brief period.

Menounos was actually a guest host on Raw back in 2009. During that period, the guest hosts were given match-making authority, thus Menounos was technically the GM for the night. Remember, the article is about the "hottest" authority figures, not the longest reigning ones. That being said, Menounos is one of the hottest women in the entertainment industry and will be remembered fondly by wrestling fans for years to come.

12 Ms. Tessmacher

Despite a forgettable run in WWE as a member of Kelly Kelly's dance troupe, Tessmacher went on to have a nice career in Impact. She was a three-time Knockouts champion and even won the short-lived Knockouts Tag Team Championship. However, she also portrayed an on-air authority figure in Impact, when she became General Manager of the Knockouts Division, holding the fictional position for a little less than a month in 2o1o. During the brief storyline, Tessmacher was abusive toward many of the women in the division, which lead to Eric Bischoff relieving her of her duties as Knockouts GM. Though her tenure as a General Manager was brief, she still remains one of the most beautiful women to ever portray an authority figure in Impact Wrestling.

11 Trish Stratus

via Pinterest.com

It's hard to believe that despite her Hall of Fame career, Trish Stratus was only an authority figure for one night. Much like Jewel and Maria Menounos she had General Manager's powers as a guest host on Raw. This was during a Raw episode that took place in Toronto, Stratus's hometown. The episode featuring the Canadian starlet aired back in September of 2009. That night she booked a match between Randy Orton and Batista, while she also put herself in a tag match again Beth Phoenix. Speaking of Phoenix, if you would like to read more about the Hall of Fame diva, check out 18 Shocking Things You Didn’t Know About WWE’s 2017 Hall Of Fame Class. Trish Stratus is one of the hottest women in wrestling, period.

10 Dixie Carter

Up until very recently, an argument could be made that Dixie Carter was the second-most powerful woman in professional wrestling. For nearly 15 years she was the President and promoter of TNA Wrestling, before it became known as Impact Wrestling. Unlike many of the other women on the list, Carter legitimately held these positions within the company.

Dixie Carter's legacy in TNA/Impact is complicated. On the one hand, the company may not have had the success some felt it could have under her watch. Especially, given some of the big names, she has had at her disposal at various points. However, she did manage to find a suitable home for TNA programming every time a network dropped them. Carter is now in her 50s and looks at least a decade younger.

9 AJ Lee

via Heartbreakers.me

AJ Lee is one of the best all-around female performers in the companies history. During her love triangle storyline with Daniel Bryan and CM Punk, she was arguably the biggest star in the entire company. She also became an authority figure in one of the most memorable ways.

AJ Lee became the storyline General Manager of Raw by leaving Daniel Bryan at the altar in accordance with Vince McMahon's wishes. She did an excellent job portraying an unstable authority figure. Most of Lee's tenure as GM revolved around her trying to keep Daniel Bryan from becoming champion. She has forced to step down from the position due to a kayfabe scandal involving John Cena. A discussion of the hottest female GMs in wrestling history would not be complete without mentioning AJ Lee.

8 Maria Kanellis

Maria Kanellis has been in every major U.S. promotion over the last several years. She started out in WWE, then went to Ring of Honor, before finally arriving in Impact Wrestling. If you would like to learn more about Kanellis and other females that have worked in multiple promotions, take a look at Top 15 Hottest Female Wrestlers Who Worked For Both WWE And TNA.

Kanellis got to portray an authority figure during her time in Impact when she became Knockouts Division Commissioner. She spent much of the time as Commissioner feuding with Gail Kim and humiliating her assistant Allie. Kanellis left the company on March 1st of 2017, but not before making her mark as one of most gorgeous authority figure of all time.

7 Debra

via Twitter.com

Debra Marshall was certainly a stunner in her day. It's no wonder she was able to attract the attention of her eventual husbands; Steve "Mongo" McMichael and Stone Cold Steve Austin. I guess she was into guys named Steve. Debra spent most of her career as a valet and even had a brief run as the WWE Women's Champion. However, long time WWE fans may also remember her as the Lieutenant Commissioner of the WWE, working alongside Mick Foley.

In truth, she didn't have any power behind the scenes and was given the position primarily as a way to keep her on TV. However, if you take a look at the photo it's easy to see why WWE wanted to keep her on television. Marshall's Southern charm and ample-sized chest make her one of the more memorable WWE Commissioners.

6 Karen Jarrett

Karen Jarrett is probably best known for being involved in a love triangle with her former husband Kurt Angle and current husband Jeff Jarrett. This was not simply another wrestling storyline, as it actually occurred in real life as well. After Karen and Kurt called in quits, she went on to marry Jeff Jarrett, both on and off-screen. During her time in Impact Wrestling, Karen Jarrett held the title of Executive Vice President of the Knockouts division.

She was given her VP position by Eric Bischoff himself. During her tenure, Karen Jarrett teamed with Madison Rayne and Gail Kim. (By the way, if you're interested in seeing more of Kim, check out Top 15 Hot Photos Of Gail Kim You NEED To See.) When the storyline called for Sting to take control of Impact, he fired Karen Jarrett. However, she still remains one of the best-looking women to ever set foot in an Impact Wrestling ring.

5 Traci Brooks

via tinypic.com

Traci Brooks spent many years in Impact Wrestling. She was a valet, manager, and even an in-ring competitor. If you are a long time fan of either TNA/Impact or Brooks, you may also remember her time as the Knockouts Commissioner. She has given the on-screen role by Management Director Jim Cornette. Brooks played the role for about five months prior to leaving the company for a brief period.

Brooks was a versatile performer who always looked great, regardless of the role she played. It's no wonder she got the attention of former boyfriend CM Punk and current husband Frankie Kazarian during her time in Impact. Traci Brooks easily makes the list of hot wrestling authority figures. Sadly, Brooks retired from professional wrestling back in 2015.

4 Tiffany

Tiffany, who is better-known to Impact fans under her real name, Taryn Terrell, served as the on-screen General Manager of WWE's relaunched ECW brand. When Teddy Long left ECW to become the GM of SmackDown he handed the reigns over to the lovely Tiffany. To be honest, Tiffany's time as an authority figure in ECW wasn't particularly memorable. She spent a portion of her tenure as GM sidelined due to (a real life) injury. WWE used the excuse that she was injured in a car accident with William Regal to explain her absence from television. When the ECW brand finally folded in early 2010, Tiffany went to SmackDown. She would go on to be released by WWE in November of the same year. Tiffany got the job as GM primarily based on her looks and after taking a quick look at the photo above, it's easy to see why.

3 Jewel

via Nicoh.net

Granted, calling pop singer jewel a "wrestling authority figure" might be a little bit of a stretch. However, it is technically true. On February 20, 2010, Jewel and then husband Ty Murray appeared as guest hosts on Raw. This was during the period when hosts had match making authority, which means Jewel was technically an "authority figure". The episode she appeared on even featured a Divas bull riding contest in honor of Jewel's husband at the time, Ty Murray, a professional bull rider and commentator. The musician that gave us hits like "You Were Meant for Me" and "Who Will Save Your Soul" is one of most gorgeous women to ever appear in WWE. Jewel has not appeared on WWE television since 2010.

2 Allie

via wrestlingforum.com

Allie originally made a name for herself on the independent scene where she wrestled under the ring name, Cherry Bomb. She is also known as the real-life wife of fellow Impact star Braxton Sutter. In Impact, she was the on-screen apprentice to Knockouts Commissioner, Maria Kanellis. However, Kanellis actually spent most of her time humiliating poor Allie, instead of actually grooming her to one day take over as Commissioner.

When Kanellis abruptly departed from the company in early March of this year, the feud came to an end. Allie tried to come across a goofy character, despite all that, most fans saw through the facade and recognized that she is a very attractive woman. She certainly belongs on the list of hot (pseudo) authority figure in wrestling.

1 Stephanie McMahon

via pwpix.net

There may not be a more powerful woman in all of professional wrestling than Stephanie McMahon. Most wrestling fans know that McMahon portrays the commissioner on WWE's flagship show, Monday Night Raw. However, McMahon is also the Chief Brand Officer or CBO if you would prefer, for World Wrestling Entertainment. Moreover, she is also the daughter of WWE owner Vince McMahon and will likely inherit at least a portion of the company when Vince finally decides to step down. In other words, she isn't someone you want to cross backstage.

Lastly, despite being 40 years of age, Stephanie McMahon is still one of the hottest women in all of wrestling. Her combination of money, power, and good looks would make almost any woman envious.
