When you stop to think about it, the WWE has some of the strangest fans in the world. We love wrestling, yet we seem to complain about the product more often than we enjoy it.

The bulk of us over the years seemed to have become a little too smart for WWE's own good. By now, we know what we do and don't like. So when the machine shoves wrestlers down our throats who we don't really care about, *cough* Roman Reigns *cough*, it's sometimes difficult for us to keep watching every week. Not that there's anything wrong with Roman Reigns per say, but when fans have been vocally clamoring to see someone else in the main event and WWE blatantly ignores it, we're going to lose interest fast.

Yeah, we may stop watching every now and again, but hey, Daniel Bryan could return next week and guess what, we'll be there to see it. That's the beauty of WWE. Our opinions can change on the flip of a dime as long as they do something cool.

As much as we may harp on the WWE, there's still millions if not a billion fans around the world. So obviously they have to be doing something right. But for the hardcore wrestling fan, the product seems to have become stale ever since the WWE went PG back in 2008. Back in the Attitude Era, we had moment after moment week after week that had us in awe. Now, these moments seem a bit few and far between and I'm not sure whether or not this is on purpose since WWE doesn't have any real competition anymore but I think it's time WWE creative starts getting, I don't know, a little more creative? The Top 15 Moments that restored our faith in WWE.

15 15) Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels Make Amends

After the infamous Montreal Screwjob in 1997, nobody dreamed they would ever see Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels in the same ring again, but alas, it came to be and both legends let bygones be bygones as we all bore witness to probably the first must-see moment to come from the PG era. It was a very touching moment to see, and it was nice to see WWE was capable of dropping a grudge in order to give the fans that perfect moment.

14 14) The Nexus Takeover

After the debut season of NXT, the Nexus, lead by Wade Barrett, made quite the impression on Monday Night Raw by brutally attacking not only John Cena and CM Punk, but even poor Justin Roberts just to name a few. Fans didn't see it coming, as it was the first moment in the PG era that wasn't exactly PG. I don't think WWE knew how it was going to turn out either as it was Justin Roberts' attack from Daniel Bryan that they reportedly felt was too violent for its TV-PG rating. And due to the incident, Bryan was quickly released from his contract but luckily it was only temporarily.

13 13) The Pipe Bomb

After Raw went off the air in the spring of 2011, we weren't exactly sure whether or not CM Punk's Pipe Bomb was scripted or not. And that's what made it such great television! The WWE did a fantastic job of taking a difficult real life situation and turning it into great television. This moment is what sparked the "Summer of Punk" and it was awesome to see CM Punk finally get the attention he deserved... Even if it didn't really work out for him in the end.

12 12) That Other Pipe Bomb

The other pipe bomb involving the WWE Divas, AJ Lee had no problem speaking her mind about the cast of Total Divas, pretty much insinuating that it's Divas like them that are what's wrong with the division, even insinuating that the Bella Twins had to sleep their way to get to the top. And well, it seemed like the other Divas were actually pretty ticked off about the incident. It was good TV! Though there would be no "revolution" for another couple years, it gave us faith that things could actually change for the Divas.

11 11) 21-1

Did Brock Lesner overcoming the Undertaker's almighty streak at WrestleMania restore our faith in WWE? To hardcore Undertaker fans, probably not. As you could see at the event, most fans were left speechless, if not a little flabbergasted. But hey, it sure did get everybody talking and it was nice to see the WWE willing to shake things up a bit and do something that absolutely nobody was expecting by throwing in a curve ball.

10 10) Yestlemania

The storybook ending every fan wanted to see, Daniel Bryan overcame the odds by defeating Triple H in the opening match to earn himself a spot in the main event in which he would win the WWE championship. To Daniel Bryan fans (which is pretty much most of us), this night will forever be known as Yestlemania and it was great to see WWE was finally willing to listen to its fans and put the title on someone different for a change.

Not bad for a B+ Player.

9 9) SummerSlam: Brock Lesner vs. John Cena 

When Brock Lesner returned to WWE, we all knew he would be a force to be reckoned with but I don't think anyone expected John Cena to be destroyed in what was pretty much a squash match at the biggest party of the summer. It was refreshing to see Cena lose in such clean fashion and it gave us hope that things were about to change for the better and that maybe, just maybe, the Super Cena we grew to hate would be no more.

8 8) Sting's Debut

Most people never thought they would see it happen, but at the 28th annual Survivor Series, nostalgia came charging through the WWE Universe when Sting stepped his first foot inside a WWE ring, costing The Authority their match. Seeing him again, as we remembered, made those who grew up with him feel like they did years ago and he also brought an element of star power that the roster sorely needed that year. As for what they proceeded to do with him after? Well, that's a different story.

7 7) WrestleMania 31 

The second year in a row WWE ultimately got it right with WrestleMania , I don't think many people had a single complaint to say about the biggest event of the year. From the opening Ladder match, to Ronda Rousey, to Seth Rollins cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase, the whole show was top notch, and if any fan had any doubts about the WWE churning out a good show from top to bottom, WrestleMania 31 proved the naysayers wrong.

6 6) Kevin Owens and John Cena

John Cena brought prestige back to the United States Championship when he decided to defend the title each and every week by issuing an open challenge to anybody willing to take him on. And when Kevin Owens made his debut to the WWE roster, we were treated to not only one, but three amazing matches over a period of two months. Every single one of them became instant classics, and it wasn't until those matches that Cena finally broke the five moves of doom, doing some crazy impressive stuff we weren't expecting.

Unlike most NXT stars who make the jump to WWE, Owens was one of the first to really make a dent, defeating Cena in their first encounter. Again, for the first time since Brock Lesner defeated him, John Cena truly showed that he was willing to put other wrestlers over and that Super Cena really was a thing of the past. Kudos to Cena!

5 5) The New Day

It may have taken a while for the fans to warm up to them, but The New Day have become one of the highlights of Raw every single week and are still going strong as the current WWE Tag Team champions. They managed to overshadow the return of the Dudley Boys, and for the first time in a while, we're actually excited about the tag team division again. These three have such natural chemistry together and it's a welcome change of pace from the scripted dribble we seem to get from most other Superstars nowadays.

4 4) Divas Revolution

The Divas of NXT changed every fan's perception of women's wrestling, and when Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks debuted, the whole arena literally exploded when they put Team Bella in their place, bringing importance to the division for the first time in years. From there, there have been some bumps in the road in finding a significant role for all of those divas, but for the first time in a while, the future of the division looks very promising.

3 3) NXT Takeover: Brooklyn

NXT hosted their own event the night before SummerSlam and you could even argue it was the better of the two shows. There have been many NXT specials on the network, but this was the first to boast almost 16,000 fans. And although NXT may not be as credible as the "main roster", NXT proved they can hold their own and have since become their own phenomenon, guaranteeing fans quality wrestling each and very time they put on a show. If the talent of NXT is any indication of how WWE may look in a few years, we really do have a lot to be excited about.

2 2) The Reality Era

Though not regarded by WWE as an official era, every wrestler is active on social media, the Divas have their own reality show, and for the first time in ever, the curtains are being pulled back and we are seeing the WWE in a whole new light. Not to mention the WWE Network specials, seeing superstars talk about old rivalries, seeing how hard these athletes work in order to get their opportunity, WWE is respecting their fans and they are producing content that fans both new and old can enjoy together.

1 1) The Debut of AJ Styles

TNA's poster child and the King of the Indies finally made the transition to the WWE, debuting in the 30-man Royal Rumble match last month and though he didn't win, he was the Superstar everybody was talking about. It'll be exciting to see AJ Styles meet up with some of WWE's finest, and the possibilities for new opponents and feuds are endless. AJ's signing proves the WWE is willing to bring in stars who have made a name for themselves elsewhere, and with the rumored signing of The Bullet Club, we all have faith that the roster can actually be the best it has ever been in a very long time.
