We recently published a list of the top 15 most promiscuous WWE Divas of all time, which included the likes of Sunny, Kelly Kelly, and Mickie James. In the spirit of gender equality, we thought we’d put together a list of the 15 most promiscuous male WWE wrestlers of all time. Promiscuity is a two-way street, after all.
Some of the names on this list might surprise you (for example, the most famous person in the world at the moment may or may not be number one), while others certainly won’t (at this point, I think we all know about CM Punk and John Cena’s womanizing ways before they met their current significant others).
One thing this list, and the accompanying female version of it, makes clear is that wrestlers, in more ways than one, are not deprived of physical contact. Like we said before, there’s a reason why wrestling is so often used as an excuse when two people have been caught in the act.
15. Triple H
Those who have followed his career from its inception in the early ‘90s likely won’t be too surprised to see Triple H’s name on this list. Before settling down with the boss’ daughter in 2003, H was involved in one of the highest-profile relationships in the history of the WWE with Joan “Chyna” Laurer. Their relationship ended due to Chyna’s well-documented struggles and because of their disagreements about whether or not they wanted children. It was also rumored, although heavily denied by him, that he had cheated on Laurer with McMahon.
14. Hulk Hogan
The Hulkster earns a spot on this list not because of the number of women he’s hooked up with, but because of the significance of one of his hookups. In 2006, after 23 years of marriage to Linda Hogan, Hulk slept with the wife of his friend, Bubba the Love Sponge. Little did he know, however, that Bubba was recording the whole thing on video. Years later, the sex tape was released, and Gawker published portions of it on their website. This led to Hogan suing Gawker Media for $100 million, citing “invasion of privacy, infringement of personality rights, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.” He won and was awarded $140 million in compensatory and punitive damages by the jury but later settled for $31 million after Gawker filed for bankruptcy.
13. Dolph Ziggler
Dolph Ziggler’s dating resume is, shall we say, diverse. He went from hooking up with two of the hottest women in the wrestling industry—Nikki Bella and Kelly Kelly, the latter relationship being revealed by none other than Randy Orton—to funnywoman Amy Schumer, who by her own admission, is no supermodel, and proud of it.
Unfortunately, his relationship with the star and writer of Trainwreck didn’t last long. Schumer claimed to Howard Stern that Ziggler was simply too much for her in the bedroom, calling him “too athletic” and saying that he “ragdolled” her and spun her “like a Globetrotter.”
As a backyard promotions wrestler, Edge’s ring name was Sexton Hardcastle, which should tell you something about what’s on his mind (and no, I’m not talking about a “fortified structure built in Europe and the Middle East during the Middle Ages by nobility”).
Before marrying Beth Phoenix on his birthday this year, Edge had already been married twice, both of which relationships did not last long. He was also involved in a love-triangle storyline with Lita and her former boyfriend Matt Hardy, which was inspired by their backstage relationship. His fling with Lita reached a steamy climax when the two had a roll in the sheets—on live TV.
11. Seth Rollins
Oftentimes, promiscuity and infidelity leads to heartbreak, a lesson WWE star Seth Rollins learned the hard way last year. In February of 2015, photos of a nude woman, who was later determined to be former NXT wrestler Zahra Schreiber, were posted to Rollins’s twitter account. That’s just where the trouble begins, however, as Rollins at the time was engaged to Leighla Schultz, who retaliated by posting nude photos of her soon-to-be-ex-fiancé to her twitter page.
10. Vince McMahon
There is a rich and illicit history of bosses sleeping with their employees, and the WWE is no different, as it has long been rumored that Vince McMahon has a wandering eye. He admitted it himself in a 2001 interview with Playboy. When asked about whether or not he had ever strayed from his marriage vows, he said:
I probably lied to myself, thinking she knew who I was when we got married. The wild guy. But I never, ever threw anything in her face. I was discreet. And Linda never suffered from a lack of attention, physical or emotional. But one day she asked me, point-blank, “Are you having an affair with so-and-so?” And I’ve never lied to her.
Furthermore, when asked if his infidelity had been an isolated event or something that recurred over time, he said:
Different times. Some were concurrent, but I didn’t think she had to know that. She didn’t ask that question or I’d have to say yes to that, too. It’s not something I’m proud of. I just didn’t realize the impact of messing with other people’s lives. Notwithstanding the impact on my wife, I’m talking about the havoc you create in other lives, just from wanting to have a good time.
9. Joey Mercury
Joey Mercury might not be joining the ranks of John Cena and CM Punk anytime soon when it comes to wrestling, but he has already joined them when it comes to hooking up with Mickie James. While James might be his highest profile hookup, she’s certainly not his only. In his prime, Mercury developed the reputation for being a serial dater. He has been linked to Christy Hemme and Amy Zidian. Given his ability to hook up with some of the hottest women in the company, it’s probably safe to assume that his list of former flings doesn’t end with these three.
8. Jerry Lawler
Recently, Jerry Lawler’s relationships have landed him in the public eye for all the wrong reasons. In 1993, he found himself in hot water after a 15-year-old alleged that he had assaulted her (the charges were later dropped). In July of this year, he was arrested and charged with domestic abuse after getting into a fight with his girlfriend, Lauryn McBride, who is 40 years younger than him.
Before McBride, Lawler was married three times, including a brief relationship with former WWE wrestler/valet Stacy Carter, who you might remember from the time she intentionally flashed the crowd during a pay-per-view event in 1999. Lawler briefly quit the WWE when Carter was released.
Before tying the knot with Sarah Jade late last year, Dave Batista found himself on our list of the top 10 wrestlers with the most impressive dating resumes, coming in at number five. He is believed to have had trysts with Rebecca DiPietro, Kelly Kelly, Melina Perez (possibly), and Rosa Mendez.
Batista’s marriage to Jade—who’s not just a pole dancer but a competitive pole dancer; whatever that means—is his third since 1990, and he is the father of two children, one of whom had a child of her own, making Batista, who’s still in his 40s, already a grandfather.
6. Ricky Morton
Rumor has it (no we don’t have verifiable sources; what are we, the New York Times?) that Ricky Morton was one of the worst skirt chasers in all of wrestling in the late ’70s and ’80s, ending up with a different woman each night. Is it any wonder, then, that he has seven children (that we know of )?
Of course, Morton was a married man while he was doing all his cavorting, and his wife, Connie, had long suspected him of cheating on her, which he adamantly denied. Still, they wound up getting divorced, and she blamed the wrestling lifestyle on his sinful ways.
5. Ric Flair
The old school wrestlers could teach the young guns a thing or two about what it means to be promiscuous. And of the legendary promiscuous wrestlers, perhaps none was more legendary and more promiscuous than the “Nature Boy.” On top of being married (and divorced) four times, Flair garnered a reputation for being something of a ladies man—that is, he was the kind of man who slept with all the ladies. Wherever wrestling took him, you could bet that by the end of the trip half the women in the city knew his name.
4. CM Punk
CM Punk’s hooked up with so many different women that it’s a wonder he even found the time to wrestle. Apparently his wife, AJ Lee, whom he married in 2014, had no problem with his past exploits, even though many of the women he’d slept with were her colleagues, like Lita, Kelly Kelly, Daffney, Allison Danger, Traci Brooks, Beth Phoenix, Becky Bayless, Mickie James, and Maria Kanellis. Outside of the wrestling world, Punk is believed to have hooked up with UFC fighter Felice Herrig, who openly admitted it during a podcast interview.
Not all of his relationships ended on a positive note, either. After breaking up with Phoenix, for example, he proceeded to throw shade at her in the media, calling the current Mrs. Edge a “douche-bag.” But what goes around comes around, because Punk himself was on the receiving end of post-breakup insults, as Maria once called him a “dirty, stinky wrestler from Chicago.”
3. “Boogie Woogie Man” Jimmy Valiant
In his own words: “I kissed everybody, men, women, children, grandpa, grandma, green, black, blue, it didn’t matter, I kissed everybody.” But apparently Jimmy Valiant did a lot more than just kissing. For years, rumors about his unique sexual proclivities have circulated around the wrestling world, including one that involves him laying under a glass coffee table while a lady of the night… well, we’ll just let you imagine it for yourself.
While this story might be urban legend, his relationship with Big Mama, his in-ring partner and manager, certainly wasn’t. His relationship with Mama, which lasted 13 years, came after a 17-year marriage. The reason for both divorces was Valiant’s infidelity. Not too many wives would stick by their man if a woman showed up at their front door claiming to be the mother of her husband’s six-year old son (true story).
2. John Cena
Don’t let John Cena’s devotion to current girlfriend Nikki Bella fool you—at the peak of his promiscuity, he was far from a one-woman man. Only Punk’s name popped up more on our list of the 15 most promiscuous WWE Divas of all time.
His long list of former hookups includes: Mickie James, whom he reportedly slept with while they were both in relationships with other people; Lisa Marie Varon; Kendra Lust, a French-Canadian adult film star; Maria Kanellis; Kelly Kelly; and Melina Perez.
Cena also once claimed in an interview with Howard Stern that he had slept with six women at the same time, a feat alone that should have earned him the top spot on this list. Not so fast, because our number one has him beat…
1. Donald Trump
That’s right, President-elect Donald Trump. Don’t like it? Take it up with Vince McMahon, who thought it would be a good idea to elect the former reality TV star/current leader of the free world into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013.
If you believe the rumors, then Trump has all these guys beat when it comes to promiscuity. Not only has he been married three times, but he’s also long been rumored to have cheated on his wives (in fact, he cheated on his first wife with his second). Just recently, in the midst of a contentious campaign, audio leaked of Trump describing his sexual misconduct, claiming to grab women by the… well, you should know by now what he said. This led several women (at least 15, by last count) to come forward with allegations of sexual assault and harassment.
Who would have thought we’d see the day when a President of the United States topped the list of the most promiscuous male wrestlers in WWE history?
