There are a lot of people that would be welcome back into the WWE with open arms if they ever opened the lines of communication. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson are two wrestlers that are consistently welcomed back, and there would even be some celebrities that fans don’t mind making multiple appearances. Bob Barker and Seth Green come to mind (because let’s be honest, the Price is RAW segment with Chris Jericho was hilarious).

Other celebrities and/or figures the WWE should always welcome back are names like Hugh Jackman and Pete Rose, who despite his controversies in baseball, always seems to find a way to be entertaining in a WWE ring.

However, there are people that the WWE has worked with in the past that really have no business making a return to a WWE ring in any capacity. There’s a wide range of reasons why some people shouldn’t come back. These are people that either drove fans away, insulted the fans’ intelligence, or just flat out had no value with the company.

While Triple H and Vince McMahon have become more open to burying old grudges and bringing back people you haven’t seen in a while, there are still plenty of former guests and talent that need to just stay away. Here are 15 people that the WWE should never work with again, starting with a legend that you might not expect.

15 15. Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan was the biggest WWE superstar in the 1980’s, and helped wrestling become mainstream, so why break off ties with him? Because at this point, it just feels way too forced and expensive to have the Hulkster make appearances at WWE events. It’s great that the WWE and Hogan have fixed their relationship after a rocky 1990’s, but he doesn’t serve value for the price. Nobody is paying big money to see him anymore and babble on for a long time, and it’s time to move on.

14 14. Jeremy Piven

If you were wondering why the cast of the “Entourage” movie made a recent appearance on WWE along with Zack Ryder, but didn’t have Jeremy Piven, there’s a good reason. It was cool to see Piven actually get involved in the ring as a heel host, but he made a cardinal sin by calling a Pay Per View by the wrong name. SummerSlam is the second biggest event of the year for WWE, and Piven made the mistake of calling it “Summerfest”. He certainly wasn’t the worst guest host, but it’s clear that he wasn’t really welcome to come back for a second time.

13 13. Kevin Federline

Kevin Federline is a D-list celebrity at best, gaining some popularity after a short marriage to pop singer Britney Spears. The WWE thought it would be great to connect with the younger audience by bringing him on to Raw so he could promote his album and get involved in an angle. Federline got into a feud with the biggest star in WWE, John Cena, which is a huge waste of time. There were talks about Federline getting a WWE contract afterward because he was well received backstage, but the fans had enough of it. People might start leaving if they bring back Federline at this point because nobody cares.

12 12. Cheech and Chong

There's no doubting 2009 was a dark time in the WWE, when guest host after guest host made their meddling appearances on Raw in an effort to get some outsiders to tune in after ratings started to plummet. It seems that Vince McMahon didn’t really have his finger on the pulse of the nation as he brought in Cheech and Chong, about 30 years too late. The drug humor wasn’t really helpful to the WWE brand, and they should probably never do it again. April 20th fell on a Monday this year, and they didn’t use them, so hopefully that means they won’t in the future.

11 11. Snooki

There are a lot of deserving wrestlers that never get their signature Wrestlemania moment. In the buildup for WrestleMania 27, a spot was wasted on Snooki to get involved in a six person tag team match. Bringing in an annoying reality star that most wrestling fans already didn’t like was pretty alienating. Snooki’s team ended up winning the match, but not many people in the Georgia Dome crowd responded. Since Snooki was part of one of the worst WrestleMania events in recent memory, it’s best just to not bring her back.

10 10. Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb

Kathie Lee and Hoda of The Today Show seem like nice enough women, but bringing them on as guest hosts of Raw was just a mistake. It’s no secret that athletic organizations everywhere are trying to expand their audience to women, but this wasn’t the way to do it. After appearing in a dumb segment that the fans booed in 2014, you could feel the cringe in the air. It was nice to get a little mainstream attention, but wrestling fans didn’t care, and those are the people that are paying the money to be there.

9 9. Josh Mathews

Josh Mathews worked with the WWE for quite some time, after being a part of the Tough Enough series back in 2002. Mathews would end up being a commentator (and one of the worst heel commentators ever, at that), until his release in 2014. Mathews was then signed to be the lead commentator for TNA, and he has since gone on a meltdown via Twitter toward the WWE, even once targeting Jim Ross. The amount of bitterness that Mathews has shown toward his former employer means that a reunion would just be awkward, and nobody is really asking for one.

8 8. Martha Hart

The WWE shouldn’t avoid working with the late Owen Hart’s wife, Martha, because she’s a bad person. They should avoid working with her because it has only brought a lot of drama in the process. Hart sued the WWE for millions after the death of her husband, and ended up receiving $18 million. WWE has tried to mend fences even further by using Owen’s image in DVDs and old re-airs, but she wasn’t a fan that royalties weren’t being paid. Recently, WWE tried to make a special about Owen Hart, which Martha wasn’t a fan of. They aren’t going to get anywhere with her since she’s upset with the company, so they need to stop trying.

7 7. Floyd Mayweather

Floyd “Money” Mayweather is to boxing what Brock Lesnar is to wrestling, as they are both really in it for the money. The only thing is, WWE fans would actually want to see Brock Lesnar in a WWE ring. Mayweather got a huge payday to get into a boxing match with the Big Show, which ended with Mayweather winning. It wasn’t worth the money, and for some reason, WWE has been trying to sweet talk Mayweather into making another appearance. Mayweather has a history of domestic abuse and even showed up late when he was working with WWE, so why they want to bring him in again is a mystery.

6 6. Dennis Miller

Dennis Miller was funny about 30 years ago, but if his time as a broadcaster on Monday Night Football taught us anything, it’s that nobody cares anymore. Miller was brought in to host the Slammy Award edition of Monday Night Raw, and it fell flat. None of the jokes were catching on with the crowd, and Miller openly blamed it on Vince McMahon in a shoot for feeding him lines. Apparently, this was true, and McMahon was not too thrilled about it. It’s unlikely that Miller will be back, and it’s probably a good thing.

5 5. Al Sharpton

via wwe.com
via wwe.com

Al Sharpton is regarded by a lot of WWE fans to be the worst guest host that has ever been brought onto Monday Night Raw. Sharpton showed up for a short time, plugged his book, told people to cut down in illiteracy and then took off. Sharpton was in a plane before the show was even over, so it shows you that he really didn’t care. Politics shouldn’t get involved on Raw (unless it’s part of a really good storyline), but they went with it anyway. The train wreck that ensued should be a lesson learned.

4 4. CM Punk

via ufc.com
via ufc.com

Unlike Hulk Hogan, CM Punk is still a big draw, so not working with him again would be a big mistake, right? To this day, fans keep chanting “C-M PUNK” at the top of their lungs whenever a boring match is being put on. Bringing Punk back would bring in a lot of money, but at this point, it seems too late (or too early) to bury the hatchet. A lot of bad things were said by Punk toward the WWE, and right now it’s a pride versus pride battle between the two parties. Bringing him back in the near future would basically be an admittance of wrongdoing that Punk alleged toward the organization.

3 3. Steve-O

via buzznet.com
via buzznet.com

Steve-O wasn’t the only member from the “Jackass” clan that was a guest host on Raw, as he appeared alongside Chris Pontius. Pontius didn’t violate the unwritten rules of professional wrestling though, so he could probably be welcomed back. When appearing on Raw, Steve-O appeared to be under the influence of something while in a promo with Umaga, and ended up taking a real beating. Steve-O no-sold pretty much everything that Umaga was throwing, which ended up in a shoot body splash from the top rope and multiple punches and kicks that wound up giving Steve-O a concussion.

2 2. Vince Russo

via youtube.com
via youtube.com

At this point, there is no positive influence that can come out of employing Vince Russo. Russo has been the result of about 16 lies per day, and it seems to keep rolling even though he’s unemployed. For crying out loud, he even lied to the guy who he opened a website with. Russo’s booking is outdated, and the amount of negative things he has to say about some of his previous co-workers sounds like sour grapes. There is pretty much no chance that Vince McMahon would welcome back Vince Russo, which is the case with a lot of different employers. You’re much more likely to see Russo’s nemesis, Jim Cornette, back with the WWE...and that’s saying something.

1 1. Bill DeMott

via poptower.com
via poptower.com

Bill DeMott was hired as the head trainer for the developmental program, helping to build the NXT into what it is today. Unfortunately, DeMott didn’t go about things the right way, completely offending almost everyone he’s ever trained. DeMott kept his job due to his friendship with some of the higher ups, but his homophobic, racist and sexist slurs have no place in a working environment. DeMott was quickly ‘put on leave’ after these came to surface, and thankfully it doesn’t look like he’s going to be the head trainer again any time soon as Matt Bloom is currently in that position, which garnered positive reaction.
