Top 15 Stars to Emerge from WWE NXT

NXT has seen its share of success and failure, but in order to truly measure what its done for WWE , just look at the roster. Seth Rollins is a former World, U.S and Tag Champion, Roman Reigns is the current World Champion, Dean Ambrose is the current Intercontinental Champion, Kevin Owens just had a run with the Intercontinental title, Big E has had the Tag titles and the Intercontinental title, Bray Wyatt has created one of the most interesting factions since The Ministry of Darkness, and even faced The Deadman at Wrestlemania. NXT has made The Shield, The Wyatt Family and The Primetime Players. Currently NXT is home of Hideo Itami, Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, Baron Corbin, Bayley and Nia Jax. All of whom are waiting for their moment to strike on Raw or Smackdown.

This list goes over the best things to come out of NXT since it began in 2010. Once again , this is my opinion. Some on this list had established themselves on the indies before making their way to NXT. Going for talent from the indies could be a crapshoot, because you just don't know if the performers will get over with a mass audience. It's very clear that WWE has a different way of doing things and what works in front of a crowd of a few hundred diehards may not work in a crowd of thousands and millions more watching on television.

NXT provides a great test as to whether someone's talents could translate to the WWE style. It also helps wrestlers who need a little more fine tuning to really find their groove. While not every NXT star becomes a success on the main roster, it still is WWE's best tool in finding talent for their roster. They've built roster depth with this model and there's even talk of NXT becoming a brand on par with RAW and Smackdown in terms of programming. The quality is definitely there and it seems like it's only a matter of time before it expands.

Here are the best stars to come out of NXT.

15 Naomi

via wwe.com

Naomi is the perfect place the start. A true example of going from a simple valet, dancing with Brodus Clay, to an in ring performer who has proven she can do anything and is the most athletic diva in WWE. She has not yet captured gold but that does not mean she won't. She has all the skills and attitude to do it, and with Team  BAD at her side, it seems like it is only a matter of time.

14 Charlotte

via wwe.com

The current Divas Champion, and self proclaimed genetically superior diva in WWE. Since her start as part of the Divas Revolution, Charlotte has lived up to the name, being the daughter of Ric Flair. She has run through every diva put in front of her and continues to dominate as Divas Champion. Her success even carried over to a recent cover for Muscle and Fitness Hers. Charlotte's breakout moment came in her NXT Women's title match with Natalya and since then, she's seemed set for big things.

13 Curtis Axel

via sportskeeda.com

The son of Mr Perfect, he was born to be better than everyone else. When he quickly captured the Intercontinental title, it became clear that the WWE had decent plans for him. It's a shame his Axelmania gimmick had to come to an end. In recent years, he has been working and training to further improve and recently returned, aligning himself with Heath Slater, and it is safe to say Curtis Axel will bring a large amount of skill to this team.

12 Fandango

via mirror.co.uk

It sort of happened by accident, he started as a bad guy, and within a matter of weeks this unique dancer had the WWE universe singing and dancing to his music as he entered the arena. It became so popular that even audiences outside of WWE would do it. Fandango has certainly made a unique and unforgettable mark since he came from NXT. Who knows what this very enigmatic star will do the next time we see him on Raw.

11 Sasha Banks

via wwe.com

When the Divas revolution started, Team BAD needed one more member ... and who better than Sasha Banks?. Everytime she stepped in the ring in NXT she stole the show, and she has continued to do so on Raw, a member of a group that clearly does whatever they want. Sasha has all the tools to become the Divas Champion, and was recently mentioned as one to watch in 2016 by WWE.com.

10 Tyler Breeze

via wawnation.com

The self proclaimed prettiest superstar in WWE, Tyler Breeze has made a unique impact on WWE. Taking selfies as he walks to the ring, he has already racked up sdome impressive wins over Dolph Ziggler and R-Truth. Tyler has Summer Rae at his side, she herself has proven to be an asset to the superstars she is with, the two together ensure that Breeze will make it to the top in short time.

9 Big E

via wwe.com

Possibly the most massive and intimidating force in WWE, Big E has seen a large measure of success in a short period. A former NXT World Champion, Big E quickly captured Intercontinental gold and is currently a tag team champion as a member of The New Day, those three guys who are very good at annoying everyone. Whether on his own, or in a faction, Big E seems to have all the tools to be a World Champion.

8 Dean Ambrose

via wwe.com

An originating member of The Shield and an an all out lunatic, Dean Ambrose has achieved success since starting on the main roster, even after The Shield was split, he has since won The Intercontinental title and was in the finals of the WWE world title tournament. Dean is very close to being in that main event spot, and many would love to see him and Roman Reigns headline a Wrestlemania for the World title. One would argue that Ambrose is the most over of his Shield brethren, but for one reason or another, he's been constantly shuffled up and down the card.

7 Neville

via wwe.com

The Man that Gravity Forgot. Neville may be seen by many as an underdog, but he will certainly give just as much as anyone else in order to achieve victory. He has racked up an impressive win record, and also teamed with Stephen Amell at SummerSlam to defeat Stardust and Wade Barrett. Neville is a very impressive young superstar who will continue to rocket towards the top of WWE. The hope is that he doesn't get lost in the shuffle.

6 Kevin Owens

via wwe.com

KO as he is known, a street fighter. Kevin Owens has made quite a name and built quite a resume since his debut on the main roster. He started on Raw while still holding the NXT world title, and he defeated John Cena in a pay per view match. He has since gone on to win the Intercontinental Title and completely dominate his opponents with the pop-up power bomb.

5 The Nexus

via fanpop.com

We're including the collective unit of the eight NXT rookies from the very first season, when NXT began back in 2010. Wade Barrett, David Otunga, Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, Michael Tarver, Skip Sheffield, Daniel Bryan and Darren Young ... The eight rookies whose start in WWE was compared to the nWo wreaking havoc on WCW. Not an easy comparison to draw, the nWo is held in high regard these days. The Nexus' reign of terror lasted for over a year, and although it ended on a soft note, WWE fans will always remember how Wade Barrett made his mark on WWE.

4 The Primetime Players

via wetalkwrestling.com

The only two current WWE superstars who have a unique distinction. They both were on two different seasons of WWE NXT when it began. Darren Young and Titus Oneil. Darren was also part of The Nexus, but was kicked out early on after losing to John Cena on Raw. These two have since proven their 'worth' , winning the tag team titles, and accumulating numerous wins on Raw as solo competitors and as a team.

3 The Wyatt Family

via wwe.com

The most interesting team in WWE, perhaps a newer version of The Ministry of Darkness. Bray Wyatt comes across like a comic book character, calling himself The Eater of Worlds, one could compare him to Brainiac from the DC comics mythology. Bray did not start with such success though, he was originally part of Season 2 of NXT as Husky Harris, and later joined CM Punk and The New Nexus. Luckily this charismatic superstar has reinvented his career, and is now a force to be reckoned with.

2 The Shield

via squaredcircle77.com

The men in black, from the rafters. Three guys who spent a long time in development, waiting for a moment. The moment arrived when they helped CM Punk defeat Ryback for WWE Title. The Shield is considered the greatest faction in WWE since Evolution, which is quite a compliment. Evolution was highly successful and created Orton and Batista as new stars. The Shield even defeated Evolution twice on Pay Per View. In their words ...BELIEVE IN THE SHIELD.

1 Seth Rollins

via tumblr.com

He was the first ever NXT World Champion, he defeated Jinder Mahal in the finals of the tournament. Since then he has become the new 'guy' in WWE, winning Money in the Bank and winning the WWE title. He even held the WWE and U.S. titles at the same time. The Ultimate Warrior was the last guy achieve such a feat. Seth is easily the best and brightest thing that has come out of NXT, and has risen to the top faster than anyone, even gaining a victory over The Icon, Sting.
