Perhaps the most impressive streak in all of professional wrestling was the undefeated WrestleMania streak set by The Undertaker with twenty-one consecutive victories. Last year, the streak finally came to an end when Brock Lesnar became the “one-in-twenty-one-and-one,” leaving fans in complete disbelief.

The streak began at WrestleMania VII when The Undertaker defeated Jimmy Snuka in a match that lasted under five minutes. Little did anybody know that twenty more victories lie ahead of The Phenom en route to becoming a WWE legend. Along the way, as the streak continued to grow, The Undertaker would take part in some of the most memorable WrestleMania matches.

At WrestleMania X8, The Undertaker would take on Ric Flair in his first 'Mania match in ten years – a wonderful sight to see The Nature Boy back on the grand stage and who better to welcome him back to the biggest event in WWE than the biggest badass in WWE, The Undertaker.

The Undertaker was successful in winning the WWE Championship from Sycho Sid as well as the World Heavyweight Championship from both Batista and Edge at WrestleMania. The Deadman has taken on his storyline half-brother Kane on two occasions and the longest reigning WWE Champion of the modern era, CM Punk.

In consecutive years, The Undertaker would do battle with Shawn Michaels – ending the career of Mr. WrestleMania at the big event. With HBK retired, his friend Triple H would step up to the plate and take on The Undertaker – also in consecutive years – and also without success. In fact, Triple H has lost three WrestleMania matches to the Undertaker.

Then along came Brock Lesnar and in one of the most shocking finishes in WWE history, The Undertaker was pinned in the middle of the ring at WrestleMania XXX, thus ending his iconic streak. Brock Lesnar had conquered The Undertaker.

This year, The Undertaker will compete against Bray Wyatt in a match that is sure to entertain but what about all of those superstars who could have taken on Taker and provided a great WrestleMania moment? In this article we will take a look at those who could have had a great match with The Deadman (keep in mind: those who made this list must have competed in WWE between 1991 and present day).

These are the top 15 superstars who never faced The Undertaker at WrestleMania:

15 15. Scott Steiner

Scott Steiner's first WWE run was as one-half of The Steiner Brothers tag team along with real life brother, Rick. When Scott made his way over to WCW, it was there where he would find his stride as a singles competitor – embracing a new look and becoming “Big Poppa Pump.”

In 2002, Steiner would make his return to WWE with much hype surrounding his comeback. However, his push was limited. While Steiner was placed in a feud with World Heavyweight Champion, Triple H, nothing noteworthy would come afterward.

Scott Steiner is a legitimate tough guy and with his Big Poppa Pump persona, could have posed as a credible threat to The Undertaker at WrestleMania.

14 14. JBL

John Bradshaw Layfield once ran with The Undertaker as a member of his Ministry of Darkness. Following the break-up of the faction, JBL would become a prominent part of the tag team division in WWE during the Attitude Era.

After his character would undergo a drastic change, JBL found success as a singles superstar – capturing the WWE Championship – and putting together a lengthy title reign before losing the belt to John Cena at WrestleMania XXI.

Aside from this encounter with John Cena, JBL has never really had another high-profile match at WrestleMania but would have made a suitable opponent for The Undertaker.

13 13. Razor Ramon/Scott Hall

Razor Ramon was a great Intercontinental Champion and WWE superstar during the first half of the 1990s. The second half of the decade would see Scott Hall help establish the New World Order and take a stranglehold on WCW.

Eventually, Scott Hall was back in WWE as himself and not Razor Ramon albeit for a short period of time, as Hall has long struggled with personal issues in his life. However, that does not take away from his star power.

The Undertaker vs. Razor Ramon back in the 1990s or The Undertaker vs. Scott Hall in the early 2000s. Either way, Hall and Taker would have made for an entertaining bout.

12 12. The Ultimate Warrior

The Ultimate Warrior and The Undertaker crossed paths early on in Taker's career. With a level of absurdity surrounding the storyline, this was during a time when WWE was based more on fantasy than reality.

The Ultimate Warrior and The Undertaker are two of the best characters ever produced by WWE with Taker being perhaps the best ever. The fantasy world that The Ultimate Warrior lived in was great in contrast to the “undead” world of The Undertaker.

Should these two have been paired off in a match at WrestleMania, the results would have been fascinating especially during that character-driven period of WWE.

11 11. Macho Man Randy Savage

Macho Man Randy Savage and The Undertaker did not spend a great deal of time together in WWE. When Taker was first starting out with the company, Savage was soon to be deactivated from competition and designated to the announce table.

Macho Man was said to have been frustrated with his new role in WWE, as he was not quite ready to step away from in-ring action. However, a youth movement by the company would keep him out of the ring, eventually leading to his departure to WCW.

Macho Man Randy Savage taking on The Undertaker at WrestleMania early on in the career of The Undertaker could have been something great, as Taker could have defeated a bonafide legend.

10 10. Booker T

Booker T joined the WWE following its victory over WCW in the Monday Night War. The five-time WCW Champion would establish himself in WWE as a superstar but his WCW past will perhaps always be the highlight of his career.

While in WWE, Booker T and The Undertaker once worked an angle together which saw Booker living in fear of The Deadman. It was a good storyline and rather compelling. Booker T sells fear with a type of humor that makes it really enjoyable to watch.

Booker T is also a great in-ring performer, able to compete with the best in the business, and had he been given the opportunity to work with The Undertaker at WrestleMania, he would have delivered.

9 9. Mick Foley

Mick Foley joined the WWE as Mankind, an unbalanced character with a plethora of psychological issues. Mankind would be the one superstar who could seemingly get the best of The Undertaker – consistently finding ways to overcome The Deadman.

In 1998 at the King of the Ring Pay-Per-View, perhaps the most famous spot in the history of professional wrestling would occur when The Undertake tossed Mankind from the top of the Hell in a Cell structure and down through the announce table below.

Years later, WWE could have placed Mick Foley in a match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania using the angle that Foley was going to take away the streak the same way that Taker had taken years from his career.

8 8. Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho has never bored a WWE crowd. Whether he works as a face or a heel, Jericho always knows how to work the angles with great mic skills and impeccable in-ring talent. There is no denying that Chris Jericho is one of the best of all time.

Over the years, Chris Jericho has seen his share of The Undertaker as their opposing styles have always led to something interesting inside of the ring. Y2J and The Deadman would compliment each other well while taking part in a match.

Chris Jericho, much like The Undertaker, has created many memorable WrestleMania moments – too bad they were never able to create one together.

7 7. Bret Hart

Bret Hart was the face of WWE while The Undertaker was surging up the ranks and becoming the lifeblood of the company. With the dynamic of WWE changing, Bret Hart would leave while The Undertaker remained.

During his wrestling career, Bret Hart proved time and time again just how good he was in the ring. Bret Hart often lacked personality but there is no dispute as it pertains to his in-ring talent. The Hitman is one of the best.

Which is why Bret Hart vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania would have made for such a good match. Perhaps if Bret Hart had stuck around that dream bout could have been made a reality.

6 6. Goldberg

Goldberg is no stranger to legendary professional wrestling winning streaks, having won one-hundred-and-seventy-three straight matches in WCW before finally being defeated by Kevin Nash at Starrcade 1998.

Goldberg would spend one lone year in WWE and compete at WrestleMania in a match against Brock Lesnar. That same year, The Undertaker would take on Kane for the second time at the big event. Both matches were less than stellar to say the least.

WrestleMania XX was the perfect spot to place Goldberg vs. The Undertaker – two seemingly unbeatable men squaring off in an epic showdown.

5 5. Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle had always been as intense as he is great in the ring – a naturally gifted talent whose amateur wrestling background combined with his on-screen character has always kept the fans invested in Kurt Angle.

In WWE, Kurt Angle put on some classic wrestling matches with some of the best in the company, including The Undertaker. The Olympic Hero and The Deadman put on one hell of a show at No Way Out 2006 – one event shy of WrestleMania.

Kurt Angle and The Undertaker at WrestleMania would have certainly gone down as one of the best matches in Mania history.

4 4. Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan is, and may forever be, the name that is synonymous with professional wrestling. Even in our modern times, people who do not know anything about wrestling will recognize the name Hulk Hogan.

In order for Hulk Hogan to have taken on The Undertaker at WrestleMania, it would have had to have happen later on in Hogan's career upon his return to WWE ,as there is no way Hogan would have been willing to lose to a young Taker at WrestleMania back in the beginning of The Phenom days.

While it may not have been the most exciting match, Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker at WrestleMania would have been a huge draw.

3 3. John Cena

John Cena is the poster-boy of WWE – a man who never makes a silent entrance. While some of the people boo and some of the people cheer, everyone becomes vocal whenever John Cena's music hits.

John Cena has been involved in the main event of WrestleMania almost every year for the past decade – having gone to war with some of the best in WWE such as Triple H, Shawn Michaels, The Rock, Randy Orton, and Edge but never with The Undertaker.

While rumors of John Cena vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania have been heard over the years, the stars have never aligned.

2 2. The Rock

The Rock is many things: champion of the people, producer of electricity, blazer of trails, raiser of eyebrows, beater of Jabroni's, eater of pie, star of the big screen but one thing The Rock is not: a former opponent of The Undertaker at WrestleMania.

The Rock and The Undertaker have fought many times and in many ways. The two men were involved in helping shape the Attitude Era. They have torn each other apart as foes and they have even stood as allies on occasion.

The magnitude of The Rock vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania would have made for an enormous encounter.

1 1. Stone Cold Steve Austin

via bleacherreport.com

Stone Cold Steve Austin is the greatest WWE superstar of all time. Vince McMahon said it himself upon inducting Austin into the WWE Hall of Fame. There will never be another Texas Rattlesnake for as long as the WWE operates.

Much like other names on this list, Stone Cold and The Undertake have spent a considerable amount of time in the ring together – beating the hell out of each other each and every time – leaving it all between the ropes for the fans to enjoy.

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. The Undertaker at any WrestleMania would have been something really special for WWE.
