Goldberg is someone who has had a great run throughout his career, and while he initially broke out in WCW, he also had a lot of great moments in WWE as well. He enjoyed two different spells with the company, both of which were good enough to earn him a Hall Of Fame induction.

From main eventing PPVs and capturing World Titles to battling against legends, he has put together plenty of exciting storylines throughout his career. Some of his rivalries have been brilliant and will be remembered forever, while others fell flat, leaving people disappointed overall.

11 The Undertaker

Goldberg Vs The Undertaker

WWE decided that a match between Goldberg and The Undertaker was something that everybody wanted to see, and while that would have been the case 10 years earlier, in 2019 that wasn't so much the case. WWE didn't put much effort into building this outside of pushing the idea it was a dream match, therefore there was nothing for fans to truly sink their teeth into.

The fact that their eventual encounter in Saudi Arabia was one littered with botches that almost saw both men seriously injured didn't help matters with this one either. It wasn't a good rivalry and was one that left fans thinking that they should hang up their boots.

10 The Fiend

Goldberg vs The Fiend

The storyline involving The Fiend was another one that left fans frustrated, and was an example of WWE booking things just to get Goldberg on the show in Saudi Arabia. It was a backward step in booking The Fiend as he lost the Universal Championship here, despite the fact Goldberg was part-time and past his prime.

The build-up wasn't a good one either, with Goldberg challenging the younger wrestler via satellite, which didn't exactly kick things off in the most exciting manner. The angle never improved from that point, and it was one that most people did not enjoy.

9 Dolph Ziggler

This was another rivalry where there wasn't much storyline at all for fans to be invested in, and it was done to simply get Goldberg on the SummerSlam card that year for a basic squash. He destroyed Dolph Ziggler instantly, with the younger star just selling like crazy to make him look good.

Ziggler did all of the heavy lifting when it came to building up this storyline, and the vast majority of it felt as if Ziggler was setting up a match with Shawn Michaels. Goldberg was the late swerve, but because of that, the feud itself wasn't anything overly special.

8 Roman Reigns

WWE originally planned for Goldberg to compete against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 36, but due to the pandemic, Roman was switched out for Braun Strowman at the last minute, although that was no storyline at all. They had done some building towards the original match in this one, but the lack of match stopped it being memorable.

WWE eventually pulled the trigger on the encounter at Elimination Chamber, but there wasn't as much build outside of Goldberg just challenging him. The match was fine but nothing special, and what seemed like a major storyline ended up falling flat overall.

7 Brock Lesnar (2004)

Fans often look back at the storyline between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg from 2004 in a disappointing fashion due to how poor their WrestleMania 20 encounter was. While there is no getting away from the fact that the match was a disaster, the build-up to the angle was well done.

Ultimately, it is the finish that people remember which was a poor one, and that stopped it from being one that people look back upon fondly. However, there should be some credit for the build, because they did get fans interested until the WWE Universe learned they were both leaving.

6 Kane

Goldberg and Kane

Kane and Goldberg ended up having a television feud in WWE, and while it was mainly done to interweve with Goldberg's work against Triple H it did prove to be entertaining. Kane was an ideal foil for Goldberg as he was someone who could match him in terms of size and power.

Their matches were never mindblowing, but they were enjoyable enough, and Kane was someone that could always entertain fans with his work, particularly at this stage in his career.

5 Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre vs Goldberg

The storyline between Goldberg and Drew McIntyre was a relatively simple one, with the Hall Of Famer wanting to prove he was still better than the current talent. Both men worked hard to push the feud, and the hard-hitting match that they ended up having was a lot of fun to watch.

Goldberg felt like he had a point to prove throughout his storyline here, and McIntyre is always someone who can step up and prove himself in big moments, which is what happened here.

4 Triple H

During Goldberg's first run in WWE the majority of his time was spent feuding with Triple H, and while WWE got some of the booking decisions very wrong with this one by handing Goldberg his first loww, it was still enjoyable. The company put a lot of time into this one, with months of promos and segments.

The likes of Batista and Kane were brought in at points, ensuring that the matches against Triple H were saved for bigger moments. That is something that worked in their favour, and while elements of this rivalry weren't good, the length of it is unlike anything Goldberg has done in WWE.

3 Bobby Lashley

Goldberg and Bobby Lashley ended up having two matches against each other during their storyline, and WWE did a good job of adding some heat into this one. The idea of two powerhouses competing was fun, but when things became personal as Goldberg's son was injected, it stepped up a notch.

Their matches were very hard-hitting and enjoyable, even if they were relatively short, and adding all of those passionate moments into things helped to make this a genuine feud that fans could invest in emotionally.

2 The Rock

Goldberg Vs The Rock

The first rivalry that Goldberg had in WWE was with The Rock, which was a great way to introduce him to the company. Fans were excited to see him finally arrive in the company and WWE ensured that fans were heavily invested in everything that was going with great storylines.

The Rock brought tons of excitement to this with his promo work, and that just allowed Goldberg to be the ass-kicking machine that fans know and love him for. That combination worked perfectly here, and it kicked off his time in WWE with an entertaining angle that felt important and must-see.

1 Brock Lesnar (2016)

Brock-Lesnar-Goldberg

When Goldberg returned to the company in 2016 it was Brock Lesnar that he feuded with once again, and this time things were far more entertaining. Goldberg was fired up in this one, and seeing him squash Lesnar instantly shocked everyone before they went on to have a fantastic battle at WrestleMania 33.

Unlike their previous storyline when both men were walking out of the door, this time they were fired up to prove themselves and that is what they did. Their work was brilliant, and Paul Heyman added a bunch to it with this rivalry being a fantastic one.
