WrestleMania 32 is in the history books ladies and gentleman, and we must gleefully admit, even with the talent pool spread so thin due to injuries this past year, Vince McMahon and company still managed to piece together a pretty fantastic WrestleMania. Did it have a couple hiccups here and there? Sure. However, almost every scheduled match belonged on the card, and every wrestler deserved their spot to perform on the biggest stage. Those who performed did indeed show the WWE Universe why the biggest wrestling event of the year has been dubbed the showcase of the immortals.

Like I said, every Superstar for the most part who competed this year deserved to be on that card; the keywords there are "this year". If we take a look down memory lane, which we will be doing with this list, not everyone who has been lucky enough to get a match at the granddaddy of them all is deserving. If you're a real wrestling fan, you know what I'm talking about.

We've had celebrities, and dare I say, even some very overrated Superstars and Divas competing on the card, who had no business on a WrestleMania pay per view. Heck some of the people who have been invited to participate don't even belong in a wrestling ring, if we're being quite frank. To be fair, celebrities bring a luster to the event, and when used right, they can bring an even broader audience and even enhance the quality of the show. Ronda Rousey, Floyd Mayweather, Cyndi Lauper and Shaquille O'Neal are four shining examples of celebrity cameos that worked. But sometimes, we in the WWE Universe just don't care about said "D-List" celebs. As for the wrestlers who have managed to sneak their way into a match at WrestleMania, who didn't deserve to be wrestling; we've noticed. That is why we are here, we are here to point it out because that's what we do here. So I present to you, the Top 15 "Wrestlers" who had no business being on a WrestleMania card. Sorry, but not sorry.

15. Giant Gonzalez

[caption id="attachment_134030" align="alignnone" width="595"] via pwmania.com via pwmania.com[/caption] We start this list with The Undertaker's worst opponent in the streak's history, Giant Gonzalez at WrestleMania IX. We get it, his size alone made for an interesting enemy for The Undertaker, but if you ever sit through one of his matches, you'll understand his skills were very limited; he punched, he did sleeper holds, and he did clotheslines. His short stint with the company proves he was nothing but a novelty act, with a funny costume.

14. Lawrence Taylor

[caption id="attachment_134029" align="alignnone" width="641"] via martiandanceinvasion.blogspot.com via martiandanceinvasion.blogspot.com[/caption] Lawrence Taylor may not have made the list if he was a novelty act, but does as he was featured as the main event of WrestleMania XI. Not only was this match between him and Bam Bam Bigelow the worst of the night, but is generally considered one of the worst WWE main events of all time. Even worse yet, this match loses more points for going on after the World Title match between Shawn Michaels and Diesel. Don't get me wrong, Lawrence Taylor did a pretty decent job, and the buildup to this match was quite good. We can even see why this was placed in the main event, seeing as how WWE wasn't nearly as popular as it is today. So we get it, but did he belong in the ring? Not a terrible match, but not a great main event either.

13. Butterbean

[caption id="attachment_134028" align="alignnone" width="642"] via wrestlenewz.com via wrestlenewz.com[/caption] Didn't this guy sort of ruin Bart Gunn's career? Not that you can blame him, but "bah God". I mean Bart Gunn was ready to make a name for himself, fighting in a real boxing match at WrestleMania XV against Butterbean - a professional boxer. Sadly for Gunn, Butterbean managed to knock him out in 35 seconds, meaning all that a fight like this did was put one of WWE's wrestlers at risk. Soon after, WWE would release Bart Gunn which makes this an even crappier WrestleMania moment.

12. Maven

[caption id="attachment_134027" align="alignnone" width="642"] via tommygirard.wordpress.com via tommygirard.wordpress.com[/caption] The first male winner of Tough Enough, Maven was given quite a push upon his arrival in the WWE, even eliminating The Undertaker at the 2002 Royal Rumble. Maven wasn't bad per se, it's just strange looking back to see him on the card for a Hardcore Title Match, when we know his career didn't go as far as WWE may have been expected it to go. We personally would have preferred to see The Hurricane compete against Goldust. Wassup with dat!?

11. The Miller Lite Catfight Girls

[caption id="attachment_134026" align="alignnone" width="640"] via prowresblog.blogspot.com via prowresblog.blogspot.com[/caption] T&A was in back in 2003 (and we ain't talking about Test and Albert), so WWE brought in The Miller Lite Catfight Girls for WrestleMania XIX, to have a cat fight in bed in front of thousands of fans; yes, I said in bed. Looking back, it's hard to imagine why WWE thought bringing in a couple of girls from a beer commercial was going to help improve the show. But alas, the Miller Light Catfight Girls arrived, hit each other with some pillows, so Torrie Wilson and Stacy Keibler decided to join in on all the fun.

10. Christy Hemme

[caption id="attachment_134025" align="alignnone" width="864"] via thetoplister.wordpress.com via thetoplister.wordpress.com[/caption] This fiery redhead had much more charisma than the Miller Light Catfight Girls, but it doesn't mean that she should have went toe to toe with Women's Champion Trish Stratus at WrestleMania 21. This would start a tradition of the Diva selected to be in Playboy earning a title shot at the grandest stage of them all. With a division that featured Molly Holly and Victoria, having capable divas sit out of WrestleMania for a Playboy model, doesn't seem all that fair. We still love you though, Christy.

9. Akebono

[caption id="attachment_134024" align="alignnone" width="706"] via channelawesome.com via channelawesome.com[/caption] Probably one of the worst "matches" to occur at WrestleMania, The Big Show was set to take on sumo legend Akebono at WrestleMania 21. What was a match that had the chance of being pretty cool, ended up being pretty super lame once you realized 30 seconds into the bout that we were witnessing a "fake" sumo match. At least when Butterbean took on Bart Gunn at WrestleMania XV, it was a real fight. Why make a sumo match fake, just to make one of your top stars look bad to an individual nobody cared to see wrestle in the first place?

8. The New Breed

[caption id="attachment_134023" align="alignnone" width="452"] via thegutteridgelog.co.uk via thegutteridgelog.co.uk[/caption] Four up and comers, Elijah Burke, Marcus Cor Von, Matt Striker and Kevin Thorn represented the New Breed of ECW. The New Breed would eventually take on ECW Originals Rob Van Dam, Sabu, The Sandman and Tommy Dreamer at the 23rd annual WrestleMania. If WWE decided to put the New Breed over instead of the originals, maybe their careers would have turned out differently, but that didn't happen and the ECW Originals picked up the win, further cementing the irrelevancy of the new talent ECW tried to establish.

7. Ashley Massaro

[caption id="attachment_134022" align="alignnone" width="350"] via pinterest.com via pinterest.com[/caption] I get it. Ashley posed for Playboy, so she was guaranteed a spot at WrestleMania. Okay, fine. But why put them in a Women's Title match, especially when they lacked the skill to put on a decent match? Not only was Ashley wrestling for the Women's Championship at the the 23rd annual WrestleMania, she even wrestled at the 24th. Divas like Mickie James and Victoria had to sit out because of Ashley... come on.

6. Santina Marella

[caption id="attachment_134021" align="alignnone" width="642"] via bleacherreport.com via bleacherreport.com[/caption] No, SantinO Marella doesn't make the list, but SantinA Marella does. At the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania, WWE announced a 25-Diva Battle Royal, during which they would bring back some of their women from the past to participate. Entrants included Sunny, Molly Holly, Torrie Wilson, Victoria, Jackie Gayda and Joy Giovanni. According to reports, Trish Stratus and Lita turned this match down and it's not hard to see why as a man ended up winning the battle royal. The finish to this match pretty much summed up the Divas division, as it was poorly executed and felt lackluster. WWE could have at least let a woman win, instead of having a man dressed in drag take the title of Miss WrestleMania.

5. Bret Hart

[caption id="attachment_134020" align="alignnone" width="552"] via wrestlingmedia.org via wrestlingmedia.org[/caption] Don't hate me. Bret Hart is an icon. He's simply one of the best. Any other time he wouldn't even be considered, but here I am referring to his match at WrestleMania XXVI against Vince McMahon. It was obvious at this point in the Hitman's career that he wasn't going to wrestle a mat classic, but what we got was such a disappointment. It may have just been better to have a promo with Bret Hart exacting his revenge in a much different fashion. The match we got was a bit long, and I don't think anyone bought that the Hart Family was going to take McMahon's side in the end. I guess this gets points for being quite cathartic for Bret, but it could have been handled a tad bit differently.

4. Snooki

[caption id="attachment_134019" align="alignnone" width="576"] via espn.go.com via espn.go.com[/caption] Was anybody excited to see a WrestleMania match featuring Jersey Shore's Snooki? If you were excited, yay for you, but most of us knew this was pure filler. I don't want to be too hard on the girl, because we have to give Snooki her due, as she hit quite an impressive move at the end of the bout. However, she also pinned established Diva Michelle McCool and in the end, another celebrity ended up getting the win, which makes wrestlers look weak. Give a celebrity a match, sure, but don't have them pin our wrestlers please.

3. Michael Cole

[caption id="attachment_134018" align="alignnone" width="864"] via sportsworldhq.blogspot.com via sportsworldhq.blogspot.com[/caption] Yes, Michael Cole has no business being in a match at WrestleMania. However, this would have been mildly acceptable if Michael Cole didn't dominate the entire match against Jerry Lawler! The match actually had a pretty great build-up, setting us up to want nothing more than to see Lawler annihilate Michael Cole in maybe five, six, seven minutes the most? Instead, this absolutely heinous match went almost 14 minutes long and Michael Cole won the thing. They couldn't give Jerry Lawler a win at his only match at WrestleMania? Really?

2. Maria Menounos

[caption id="attachment_134017" align="alignnone" width="970"] via nydailynews.com via nydailynews.com[/caption] Oh Maria Menounos. She's a sweet girl, she is. But did Menounos really have to agree to having a match at the biggest event of the year? If she's a real fan of wrestling like she says she is, shouldn't she have just let the Divas get their measly six minutes? On top of that, Menounos ended up winning the match, by pinning one of the most gifted women the Divas division (Women's division?) has ever seen, then-champion Beth Phoenix. We can sort of forgive Maria though, because the division at the time wasn't all that great and we can also forgive her because she's adorable. I mean how cute did she look cheering for Shane-O-Mac in the front row of WrestleMania 32. Speaking of 32, the next entry is...

1. The Rock

[caption id="attachment_134016" align="alignnone" width="640"] via rollingstone.com via rollingstone.com[/caption]

Yes, The Rock makes the list for his most recent appearance at WrestleMania 32.

Last year at Wrestlemania 31, The Rock's appearance meant something; it made for a cool moment, and even set up a possible future match against the cerebral assassin Triple H. This year, all The Rock's appearance gave us was an even further burial of The Wyatt Family. How are we, week in and week out supposed to perceive the Wyatts as threats if every time they match up against a competitor, be it Kane, John Cena, and most recently The Rock, they lose?

The Wyatts have lost all further credibility, and The Rock defeating Erick Rowan in six seconds only made matters worse for these three individuals. More so, did The Rock really need to break the record for shortest match to ever happen at WrestleMania? Come on, Rock. We love you, but put some of the new talent over, will ya?
