Despite being released by WWE from this talent contract, former WWE in-ring performer Top Dolla (AJ Francis) anticipates that he'll be back working with WWE in another capacity. That being that he'll resume his hosting duties on WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures series on the A&E Network.

Top Dolla was released by WWE when his group Hit Row was part of the numerous budget cuts that saw close to 100 talent and contracted staff let go. He was personally considered one of the bigger surprises because of his natural ability to talk and cut a promo and because of the work he was doing with A&E. But, while a guest on On this week’s “Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling” podcast, Francis pointed out that he had two different contracts with WWE. He still has the second one.

He noted that he got the gig as host thanks to his connections to one of the producers on the show. He admitted that WWE wasn't keen on him hosting at first because he hadn't been on WWE programming yet, but the show's producers were adamant he host because they knew him and liked what he'd done as the host of other shows before he became a WWE performer. WWE eventually gave in and they found out he was a natural host for the show.

And, despite being let go by WWE as an in-ring talent, he noted, "“I’m still under contract. It’s a completely different contract." He admitted that he thought having two contracts was dumb at first and couldn't understand why they didn't just add to his WWE money. He says they were insistent saying, ‘No, we need a different contract.’" He laughed, "Well, now thankfully, I have one."

He Plans To Host Season 2

Francis figures he'll be back to host the show in Season 2 and says, "Nobody called me and told me that my contract is being paid out. So I’m planning on doing season two and season three. But you know, like I said, business is business. We got to figure that out."
