WrestleMania 32 has finally come and gone. The road to the biggest event in wrestling history felt extremely long and ended in rather disappointing fashion due to the roster being crippled by injuries. John Cena, Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, Cesaro, Neville and many others have been dealing with injury issues, keeping them out of the ring. Cesaro recently returned on an episode of Raw, Cena made a surprise appearance at WrestleMania and the others are scheduled to comeback in the very near future. The roster should be at full strength very soon.

Big free agent signings and NXT creating new stars have served to boost the WWE roster. AJ Styles has arrived in WWE, Shinsuke Nakamura has arrived in NXT and the tag team of Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows are waiting to debut sometime soon. NXT has Finn Balor, Bayley, Samoa Joe and many others waiting to get called up to the main roster. With the abundance of talent on the main roster, NXT, the injured list and new faces debuting soon, WWE has to deliver great content all year from now until WrestleMania 33 next year in Orlando.

WWE has a couple of ready-made matches with easy stories to set up incredible matches. With such a deep roster, there is no need to tread water and many feuds which fans want to see will take place. Many dream matches don’t get the honour of taking place at WrestleMania due to legends returning and also, planning a match this far in advance is nearly impossible. These matches need to happen soon while the window is open so the company and fans don’t miss out on greatness. Here are fifteen WWE matches we need to see before WrestleMania 33.

15 15. Seth Rollins vs. Triple H

Let’s get one of the obvious matches we need out of the way first. Seth Rollins is the ex-Shield member that we wanted to see face Triple H, but injuries prevented it from happening at WrestleMania 32. Rollins is still rehabbing his knee injury but he will be a massive face when he returns. The WWE fan base loves Rollins and he has been getting huge ovations when shown during video packages before live shows. Fans will go ballistic when he eventually makes his in-ring return. The story is set up for Rollins to embrace the fan support and rebel against former mentor Triple H in time for SummerSlam.

14 14. Brock Lesnar vs. Bray Wyatt

WWE is trying to revamp Bray Wyatt’s character. Due to poor booking as a heel, the potential main event star has struggled to gain momentum. Wyatt was rumored to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32 in one of the main events until WWE decided to replace him with Dean Ambrose. There were still interactions between The Wyatt Family and Lesnar in order to set up something down the line. That match should take place within the next year. Fans are starting to respect and support Wyatt and WWE needs to make this match a goal.

13 13. The Balor Club vs. The Wyatt Family

The newfound direction change of The Wyatt Family should make them exciting once again after a year or two of irrelevance. Luke Harper’s injury will keep him out until August or September but his return could set up killer matches for the faction as he's the best worker of the four. The Balor Club is expected to debut in the near future with NXT World Champion Finn Balor aligning with former Bullet Club teammates Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows. Both factions seem tailor-made to work against each other and create a warfare atmosphere which will leave fans more than satisfied. With the WWE focusing more on 'shades of grey' characters rather than traditional faces or heels, both teams can split the fan base to make it even more exciting.

12 12. Cesaro vs. Sami Zayn 

Matches between Cesaro and Sami Zayn put NXT on the map as a weekly show before it completely blew up with the introduction of the WWE Network and its live TakeOver specials. You could argue that NXT may not have caught on as quickly and as strongly as it did if not for Zayn and Cesaro's great match at the first TakeOver special. With both men now on the main roster, their rivalry needs to be shown on the big stage of a PPV, since they have chemistry that will never weaken. Giving Zayn and Cesaro 15 minutes on a live show is going to guarantee the match of the night and even a potential match of the year.

11 11. John Cena vs. Samoa Joe

John Cena’s surprise return at WrestleMania 32 proved he is once again using his superhuman genes to return early from an injury. The rumor mill states Cena should be back by early May and there are so many new stars ready for fresh matchups against the standard bearer of WWE. Samoa Joe has established himself as one of the most credible stars in NXT and it’s only a matter of time before he gets called up to the main roster. Cena and Joe have worked together during their early training days in UPW and this provides an easy reason for a personal feud between the two. The clash of their characters and in-ring styles is a perfect suit for a PPV level attraction match in the next year.

10 10. Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton

It is almost unbelievable that Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar have never had a big singles match in WWE, despite both debuting around the same time and each having pivotal positions in the company. During the brand split years, Lesnar was on SmackDown while Orton was on Raw. They’ve yet to lock up since Lesnar's return to WWE in 2012, but it’s a match which has to happen given their star power. The appeal of this match is not at a WrestleMania level yet, so it would make sense for one of Lesnar’s rare appearances. Orton will be back from injury soon and Lesnar should be working again during the summer, which sets the timing perfectly for the end of 2015.

9 9. Finn Balor vs. AJ Styles

WWE has begun to embrace the past career paths of its wrestlers. Accessibility of content on the internet enables fans to seek out all sorts of matches with a variety of styles. This is exemplified by success stories, such as Finn Balor and AJ Styles, both of whom had great runs in NJPW. Balor was the original leader of The Bullet Club and Styles took his place after Balor signed with WWE. Now, both men are in WWE along with Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows recently joining them. The story of these rivals, whom are yet to face each other, has the potential to be a dream match in a WWE ring.

8 8. Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match

The recent resurgence of women’s wrestling in WWE has led to the company putting more emphasis on treating the female performers as equal talents to the men. WrestleMania 32 saw Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks have a classic match and debut the new Women’s Championship - officially eliminating the term “Diva.” The next step for the women’s division to become as credible as the men is to add similar concepts and prize matches. The Money in the Bank Ladder Match, and more importantly the story of a talent having the ability to cash in at any time, adds major intrigue. There are enough female stars to have someone hold it, delivering a great story while adding to the importance of the title.

7 7. AJ Styles vs. Seth Rollins

WWE has created a roster of the most talented wrestlers in the world, rich with varied potential dream matches. One matchup fans have wanted for years features athletic stars Seth Rollins and AJ Styles giving us a five star match. Rollins and Styles have been two of the best in the world, even before their WWE. Both have similar strengths which should lead to instant chemistry in a wrestling ring. Considering that both men have become big stars, this is a PPV main event in the making and it’s one WWE can’t wait around to deliver when Rollins returns. The company should pull the trigger and have them work with each other long before WrestleMania 33.

6 6. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Hideo Itami

The importance of WWE delivering an exciting product for fans all over the world has led to the company signing two of the most exciting Japanese stars. Shinsuke Nakamura recently made his NXT debut at TakeOver:Dallas in an instant classic against Sami Zayn and he is already one of the most popular stars in the promotion. Hideo Itami is currently on the injured list but is as talented as Nakamura when healthy. The two stars have never faced off in a singles match despite years of success in Japan and it will be a huge event if it happens in a WWE or NXT ring. If Itami is healthy in time for the Japan tour, it would be the perfect atmosphere for this match.

5 5. New Day vs. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady

The amazing debut of Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady on the Raw after WrestleMania 32 saw the fans in attendance lose their minds for the NXT heroes. There’s no doubt that Enzo and Big Cass are the most successful tag team in NXT history and are ready for the big stage. The New Day currently dominates the tag team scene and both teams seem perfectly tailored to work against each other. All members of each team have a knack for comedy and excel with their promos. The microphone exchanges will be must-see television and the matches will also deliver. We have wanted the tag team scene to improve for years and we are finally getting it with these two great teams likely feuding soon.

4 4. John Cena vs. AJ Styles

John Cena’s past few years have featured some of his greatest matches against independent wrestling stars that made it to WWE such as CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens and Cesaro. AJ Styles is likely to be the next on that list if he is booked in a big match against Cena. The two stars have many similarities and Styles was viewed as the “John Cena of TNA” during his time there. Both men have improved so much over the years and arguably, they each had their best year in 2015. Cena is returning from injury very shortly while Styles is already getting slotted in the title picture. This means there’s no reason we can’t have this match before WrestleMania 33.

3 3. Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks (PPV main event)

WrestleMania 32 told the story of the women’s division: Charlotte is the most hated heel and Sasha Banks is the most popular face. Fans were captivated by the triple threat match but felt heartbroken when Charlotte retained and Banks couldn’t capture the title. The two NXT standouts have yet to have a singles match on PPV and WWE has done a great job holding it off until now. If there were two women with enough talent, character and a story positioned to main event a WWE PPV, it would be Banks and Charlotte. The big moment when Banks wins the title has to be planned well and it should come in the first ever women’s main event title match on a live WWE PPV.

2 2. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn (Hell in A Cell)

Since Hell in a Cell takes place once a year, it forces certain feuds into the match, rather than building to the match organically. One rivalry deserving of this kind of brutal match is Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens. The two stars have a storied history of teaming and feuding with each other over the past decade from the indies to ROH to NXT to WWE. Fans always buy into the hatred shown between the two and it’s a feud which will never truly end - even if they are wrestling other people. The Hell in a Cell structure is the perfect place for the duo to have a big match and it can help put the gimmick match back on the map.

1 1. Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns

The timing of Seth Rollins' injury in 2015 was heartbreaking, since WWE was setting up a huge title match between Roman Reigns and Rollins for Survivor Series. The match never happened and the showdown between Rollins and Reigns is now a must in 2016. Fans who love Reigns hate Rollins. Fans who love Rollins hate Reigns. Both former Shield members are the two biggest new main event WWE stars in recent memory and the story is set for both talented workers to have a spectacular match. SummerSlam may be the best scenario with a Brooklyn crowd red hot for Rollins and despising Reigns.
