Over the past year, there have been major rumors about UFC star Ronda Rousey joining the WWE in the near future. Last week, USA Today reported that a deal with the WWE "appears to be imminent," citing two of Rousey's closest sources.
"It's funny because every now and then I wake up and I look at either social media or the news and I see a report and it's like, well, that's news to me because I'm the one who would be having that conversation. So it's interesting with 'sources say.' "
So unless Triple H is trying to keep the deal behind closed doors, fans will have to wait until Rousey makes a seemingly inevitable appearance in the squared circle. Both Triple H and the UFC talent have expressed interest in working together, and Rousey is friends with multiple wrestling talents -- including The Game, Stephanie McMahon and The Rock.
Though Rousey is still assigned to UFC, company president Dana White has admitted that her career is likely over. Rousey's had numerous head injuries and lost her last two matches to Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes in dominant fashion.
Rousey appeared in a promo with The Rock at WrestleMania 31, attacking Triple H and Stephanie after smack-talking the star mixed martial artist. She then shared this tweet, hinting at possibly joining the company in the near future:
The night: Historic.— Ronda Rousey (@RondaRousey) March 30, 2015
The moment: Electric.
The Rock, Ronda &the WWE Universe: Magic.

If recent history and rumors are an indicator of anything, we should expect Rousey to be in the WWE at some point. But according to Triple H, the rumors about her signing being "imminent," were false. So hang onto your hats and be patient.
