Triple H is set for an in-ring return. Since moving over into the WWE's front office, Triple H has only made the occasional appearances in the ring. His last match took place against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 33, where The Architect pinned the Game. That ended a feud where Triple H screwed Rollins out of a Universal Championship match after originally pushing Rollins to be the next face of the WWE.
With Triple H building up NXT and focusing on finding and growing the young talent, he simply hasn't had the time to appear on television much. But on his Twitter account, The Cerebral Assassin made a big announcement regarding his next return to the ring.
It's certainly possible that he's returning to make up for some missing names, as Kevin Owens left the current SmackDown tour for personal reasons, while Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns were pulled from TLC with meningitis.
It's currently unknown who Triple H will face in the ring, and whether or not this builds up a feud into upcoming events like Survivor Series and the Royal Rumble. He'll more than likely compete once again at WrestleMania 34, so we can't expect a build-up to his next feud fairly soon.
If Triple H does begin another feud, it's anybody's guess who it would be against. He's already had his run-ins with The Shield (especially Rollins and Roman Reigns), Brock Lesnar, and Randy Orton. Perhaps he'll face off against one of the newer stars like Shinsuke Nakamura or Jinder Mahal in the near future.
But his return all but surely makes things a little more interesting. Could it just be a one-time return to fill in the absent superstars, or is he getting in on another feud? For now, fans can only enjoy and appreciate him coming in for another match.
