Both Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have clarified that if Rich Swann is found guilty of domestic abuse charges he will be released immediately.
Things have gone a little quiet on the Rich Swann front, probably because there have been no developments in the cruiserweight's case. A month ago the 205 Live Superstar was arrested following an altercation with his wife. Allegedly Swann had an argument with his spouse and forced her to get back into their car. He was apparently charged with assault and false imprisonment.

Swann was naturally immediately suspended from WWE following the incident pending the investigation. That threw the plans revolving around the Cruiserweight Championship into disarray somewhat. The former champ actually looked like he may have been on course to winning the title for the second time, however, the necessary roster reshuffle has instead seen Cedric Alexander fill that slot.
While there isn't any new information on Rich Swann per se, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon were recently asked for their two cents on the whole saga. WWE's resident power couple were present at the Television Critics Association Winter Tour event in California and were quizzed about Swann while on the red carpet. The Game informed reporters that they are waiting on legal and that if he is convicted he will be released with McMahon adding 'immediately' to her husband's statement.
The King of Kings also spoke about WWE's zero-tolerance policy towards domestic abuse cases which is why Swann is suspended pending the result of the WWE Superstar's case. Triple H himself was actually accused of domestic abuse in a time before he was married to his current wife. Former WWE Superstar Chyna made accusations against The Game, claiming that he used to hit her when the two were together during the 1990s.
Rich Swann is not a Superstar that WWE will want to have to let go of, but obviously will if he is convicted of these crimes. While he may not have been one of the stand-out performers in the Cruiserweight Classic during 2016 he was one that WWE put a lot of time in to. Swann was one of the few stars in the tournament that was a part of NXT before it had even begun and it seems as if his time with the company may soon be coming to an end.
