Triple H Takes A Shot At Roman Reigns' Haters

Roman Reigns is one of the most polarizing Superstars WWE has ever produced. When The Big Dog comes to the ring there are an awful lot of boos, but there is also a large proportion of the WWE Universe that love him. For the most part it's the male fans that dislike Roman and the women and children who have taken to him.

How fans are reacting to Reigns is similar to the way John Cena was treated not so long ago. Many fans believe the current Intercontinental Champion to be a company guy who is being pushed down our throats and therefore oppose him. WWE have done all that they can to try and sway certain groups of fans' opinions on Roman but by doing that they have only made them dislike him even more.

One man who seems pretty sick of the fans' opposition to Roman Reigns is Triple H. The Game sat down with The National in preparation for WWE's upcoming tour of India and Abu Dhabi. While on the tour Triple H will go one-on-one with Roman so naturally the IC Champion cropped up in conversation. "The fan base tends to believe that he is this chosen one that the WWE wants in this position so they choose not to accept that position," Triple H told The National, adding that most people who make that argument aren't qualified to do so.

The King of Kings went on to say that Reigns is actually one of the most skilled performers the company currently has on their roster and even said that he "would consider him to be one of the very best in the WWE today." Triple H certainly has a point. With both Reigns and John Cena many fans argue that they are terrible in-ring performers when that simply is not the case. Both men are terrific wrestlers and raise the game of anybody they stand across the ring from. The fact of the matter is some fans just don't like being told who and what to like.

Being the man who runs things at NXT, Triple H can certainly claim that he knows a thing or two about what makes a great WWE Superstar. Roman Reigns is just one of many performers on the main roster that first passed through NXT, and hence, Triple H had a hand in their careers. If you don't like Roman you should probably take a closer look at his ring work, plus you had better get used to him because he won't be going anywhere any time soon.
