The minute AJ Styles won the WWE Championship there were some who speculated the win was temporary and that he'd be dropping the title back to Jinder Mahal at the final couple live events dates in India in December. Recent news may have shed more light on the WWE's plans.

For those hoping Mahal would not regain the title, it looks like your wishes may come true. The only way Mahal stands to win the title would be if he ends up facing the current champion. If a recent social media post by Triple H is any indication, that won't be happening.

From what looks like his private workout studio, Triple H took to the Internet asking fans how badly they'd like to see him in the ring while the WWE toured India. If fan response a song positive enough, not only would "The King of Kings" come to India with his wrestling attire on, but he'd face "The Modern Day Maharaja" Jinder Mahal.

If Mahal were to regain the title in India, that means Triple H would either be crowned the champion between now and Dec. 8, 2017, or  Mahal would need to win it back from Styles immediately following Survivor Series. The second option seems much less likely.

Taking the title off Mahal has been met with mixed reaction. There are some who agree that Mahal vs Brock Lesnar simply wasn't as big a draw as it needs to be for a pay-per-view like Survivor Series. Others felt Mahal was just finding his stride and that taking the title from him now virtually guarantees he'll be back to mid-card status within weeks.

Triple H meeting Mahal solves a lot of problems. It gives fans in India a huge bout the WWE can promote while keeping Mahal front and center and it also allows the WWE to put on a main event the fans have on their list of dream matches.
