Fan interest in NXT sees it often sell out huge venues for their TakeOver events on the night before the big four WWE PPVs. NXT is now popular enough to have its own touring schedule with beloved international stars on the roster. Triple H’s vision was a massive success.

9 Brought back Ultimate Warrior to WWE

Triple H wanted to end a lot of the bad blood scenarios with legends that were on the outside of the company. Ultimate Warrior was one of the biggest names for WWE in the late 80s and 90s. The controversial Self Destruction of Ultimate Warrior DVD led to Warrior making claims to never work for WWE again.

Despite Triple H having issues with Warrior in the past over their WrestleMania 12 squash match, he wanted the legend back in the company since it would be beneficial to the business. Warrior agreed with Triple H to return for a Hall of Fame induction for a WWE return just days before passing away.

8 Started signing non-traditional WWE stars

There was a lot of criticism towards WWE for wanting to sign all similar wrestlers for their roster. Talents that looked like Randy Orton were in the developmental system with no one standing out above the rest. Triple H started to change that during his run as the head of talent relations.

Wrestlers specifically scouted by William Regal would get chances to join the company. Names like Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Cesaro evolved into Kevin Owens, Johnny Gargano and Sami Zayn. WWE has benefited immensely from the experienced wrestlers finally get a chance on the big stage.

7 Set stage for athletes from other sports to join WWE

The main intent of the Performance Center was to have a place for aspiring wrestlers to train. Triple H wanted to sign former athletes from the NFL, NBA and every other professional sport that had potential to thrive in pro wrestling after their time ended in their first passion.

Some of the standout names to make the move to WWE from other sports are Baron Corbin, Bianca Belair and Mojo Rawley. WWE will want to continue this path as many athletes were showcased on the recent combine streaming on the WWE Network.

6 Created successful projects for WWE Network

The importance of the WWE Network gives the company their own platform to enjoy all the profit from the viewers to join. WWE consistently tries to create new shows to air on the network in hopes of having a full library of content like Netflix or Hulu.

Triple H is the man responsible for some of the top projects that did well for the streaming service. The two Mae Young Classic tournaments and the one Cruiserweight Classic tournament had great numbers on the WWE Network. Triple H’s ideas also helped introduced many new talents like Ali, Toni Storm and Io Shirai.

5 Brought back Kurt Angle to WWE

The bad blood between Kurt Angle and WWE featured many fans fearing he would never get to return. Angle ripped Vince McMahon, Triple H, John Cena and many others after leaving the company to join TNA. Following a few years, Angle apologized for his comments and wanted a return home.

Triple H welcomed Angle back in 2017 to headline the Hall of Fame class. Angle was unsure he would ever get the opportunity to appear for WWE again until Triple H made it happen. The return would see Angle have another great WrestleMania match teaming with Ronda Rousey against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

4 Hired incredible coaching staff

The coaches at the WWE Performance Center feature a hit list of talented names from all over the world. Wrestlers that worked in different countries like Matt Bloom, Robbie Brookside, Sara Del Rey, Steve Corino and many others help train the wrestlers at the Performance Center.

Triple H is responsible for putting together such an impressive staff of trainers. Another huge addition thanks to Triple H was Shawn Michaels moving to Florida to become a unique coach. Michaels leads a class for the wrestlers ready for the main roster as he shares some tips that made him an icon.

3 Helped create international roster

WWE has become a diverse roster in recent years with wrestlers from all backgrounds to have different styles. Major names like Shinsuke Nakamura, Finn Balor and Andrade joined WWE with a world of hype thanks to their accomplishments all over the world.

The old days of everyone working the same style and having the same look are over. Triple H helped broker deals to bring in top international names for NXT. It has already influenced the main roster as the best talents get a chance to shine on the biggest stage in wrestling.

2 Brought back Bruno Sammartino to WWE

Bruno Sammartino is one of the most important wrestlers in WWE history. The dominant WWE Championship reign of Sammartino helped WWE sell out Madison Square Garden in the 70s with Vince McMahon Sr. booking him as the top superstar.

A falling out with Vince McMahon Jr. would see Bruno detest what the company became. The Attitude Era specifically led to Sammartino condemning WWE and never wanting to return. Triple H made a huge move slowly convincing Bruno to give the company’s new look a chance. It led to Sammartino returning to WWE as a Hall of Fame inductee to honor his career.

1 Ended WWE's ban on signing TNA stars

One of the silliest unwritten rules in WWE for a few years featured the company refusing to sign former TNA stars. The lesser known names like Xavier Woods would receive a fresh start, but any established TNA act was essentially blackballed from WWE.

Triple H ended this when he gave Samoa Joe a chance in NXT. With no guarantees, Joe hit a home run leading to Triple H offering him a full-time contract. AJ Styles was the next major name to join the company by skipping the main roster. TNA stars are now common on the main roster and backstage thanks to Triple H wanting the best talents possible.
