The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von), were named as inductees for the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame class, as eight-time World Tag Team Champions will be enshrined forever.
One of the most iconic tag teams in the history of professional wrestling, Bubba Ray and D-Von became popular and infamous for their hardcore styles, smashing people through tables and performing dangerous high-flying maneuvers.
The Dudley Boyz also had some notable run-ins with another Hall of Famer in Trish Stratus, who welcomed them into the exclusive club with this hilarious GIF she shared on Twitter:

Stratus and The Dudley Boyz had a handful of memorable moments in the ring together. Before she became a well-established star, Stratus was slammed through a table by the Dudleys at Backlash 2000. She instantly made a name for himself after that, and began to get over with the crowd quickly.
When the team disbanded, Trish began siding with Bubba Ray. He interfered to help her win the WWF Hardcore Championship over Crash Holly. Shortly after, Trish dropped the title but later won the Women’s Championship, again receiving help from Bubba Ray.
There was also a well-remembered SmackDown segment, where Bubba Ray prepared to smash Trish through a table, but she kissed and seduced him – buying time for T & A to rescue her and attack the Dudleys.
Stratus and The Dudley Boyz were among the most influential wrestlers of The Attitude Era, helping the WWE transition towards a more adult oriented program with more hardcore and violent wrestling.
A spot in the Hall of Fame is well-deserved for Bubba Ray and D-Von, who had a remarkable career together that lasted over 20 years. They were major hits in ECW, WWE and Impact Wrestling. With all their championships and memorable moments in the WWE, there was no doubting they’d be in the Hall some day.
