Trish Stratus returned to in-ring action at SummerSlam, facing Charlotte Flair in a match that pitted the 7-time Women's Champion against the current Queen of WWE. Stratus was greeted by fans in her hometown of Toronto with a hero's welcome, proving quickly to her opponent - and the WWE Universe - that she has, in fact, still got it.

Despite losing to Flair and putting over the younger talent, Stratus looked incredible as she stepped out of retirement and laced up her boots once more. Here are ten more Superstars that we would love to see the Hall of Famer face.

10 Bayley

The Huggable One's gimmick, since her days in NXT, has been that of a lovable, star-struck babyface who lives and breathes wrestling. It would mean the world to Bayley to face Trish Stratus, and it would undoubtedly be a match that could steal the spotlight.

Bayley took to Twitter after Stratus' match at SummerSlam to implore the Hall of Famer to remain in WWE. If she does, a shot at Bayley's SmackDown Women's Championship seems likely, The Huggable One facing one of her childhood heroes in the squared circle.

9 Maria Kanellis

Maria is gradually becoming one of the biggest heels on the WWE roster, despite being unable to compete in the ring due to her pregnancy. Her emasculation of husband Mike Kanellis has garnered real heat from fans who want to see the former 24/7 Champion taken down a peg or two.

Trish and Maria have some history from their time on the roster together during the early days of Kanellis' career. A match between the two would have to take place after Kanellis has given birth, with plenty of time beforehand to lay the groundwork for their feud.

8 R-Truth

The antics of the 24/7 Championship have been a fun highlight for Raw and SmackDown recently. Despite losing the title to Elias on Monday Night Raw, it seems only a matter of time before R-Truth captures the coveted belt yet again, and when he does he will need a new challenger.

The championship has already been won by Kelly Kelly, Alundra Blayze and Maria Kanellis. Stratus, a former Hardcore Champion in her own right, would be another great name to hold the belt - however briefly.

7 Stephanie McMahon

The Billion Dollar Princess has been absent from WWE television recently. Despite this, her presence on Monday Night Raw always generates heat from the fans, and she excels when playing a bad guy.

McMahon and Stratus already have a brutal history, having faced each other at No Way Out in 2001 after feuding over Stratus' kayfabe relationship with Vince McMahon. A victory for Stratus over McMahon would be a moment fans would pop for, the triumphant legend returning to defeat the despicable villainess.

6 Asuka

The Empress of Tomorrow hasn't enjoyed as much success as she should have since moving to WWE's main roster. Despite capturing the SmackDown Women's Championship at TLC, Asuka has faded into the background due to poor booking and uninspired rivalries.

Despite this, Asuka remains one of the best wrestlers in the women's locker room. She almost had a match against Stratus at NXT TakeOver: Toronto, before instead facing former Women's Champion Mickie James. Hopefully, Asuka and Stratus will one day finally step into the ring with each other.

5 Mickie James

Arguably the best feud of Trish Stratus' career, Mickie James debuted as an obsessed fan of Stratus' and began an intense and, at times, creepy rivalry with the Hall of Famer. Their feud culminated at WrestleMania 22 when James defeated her idol for the Women's Championship.

With both women having now returned to WWE, it would be a delight for fans to see these two Superstars had one last match to truly settle the score. James is still in peak condition and Stratus has proven that she hasn't missed a beat since retirement.

4 Becky Lynch

The Man is the biggest female competitor in WWE nowadays. Having clawed her way out from underneath Charlotte Flair's shadow to the main event of WrestleMania, Becky Lynch is at the top of the mountain when it comes to the women's locker room.

Lynch's brazen, fiery and tough-talking swagger on the mic is a perfect antithesis to Stratus' star-powered likability. Both women are considered two of WWE's greatest female athletes and it only makes sense for Stratus to face another former member of NXT's Four Horsewomen.

3 Alexa Bliss

The Goddess of WWE has been likened to a young Trish Stratus, both women capable of excelling in the role of an obnoxious, detestable heel. Bliss and Stratus were scheduled to face each other at WWE's first-ever all-female PPV Evolution before a concussion suffered by Bliss momentarily scuppered those plans.

Bliss has made it clear that she still wants that match to happen, telling Express Sport that she "would love to face Trish one day." With The Goddess now holding one half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships, WWE could still pursue this angle - as well as introduce Stratus' best friend Lita to the mix.

2 Natalya

The Queen of Harts teamed with fellow Canadian Stratus on Monday Night Raw, taking on Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair one week before Stratus' scheduled match against Flair at SummerSlam. The two babyfaces have shown an admirable friendship on WWE television - which would only make a match between them more of a showdown.

Natalya is a third-generation star and brilliant wrestler in her own right. Both Superstars are capable of brilliance in-ring, making a match between the two to determine the true hero of Canada that much more engaging.

1 Sasha Banks

The Boss returned to WWE on the latest edition of Monday Night Raw to a welcome reception, attacking Natalya and then Becky Lynch with a steel chair to cement her new heel turn. Banks is easily one of the most talented workers in the entire locker room, and watching her face an icon like Trish Stratus would only skyrocket her career to new heights.

The two Superstars previously had an altercation during 2018's first-ever women's Royal Rumble match, with Banks eliminating Stratus from the match after the Hall of Famer entered at number 30. With Banks now back on TV, it seems only logical that WWE capitalizes on this opportunity and revisit this feud whilst both women are on the roster.
