The upcoming Jan. 22 episode of Monday Night Raw – which will celebrate the show’s 25th Anniversary – is going to bring back a handful of wrestling legends for the one night special.
Over the past two months, a handful of wrestling legends have been confirmed for the show. Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash and The Undertaker were among the first to be announced. Most recently, the legendary commentary duo of Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler and Jim Ross was also confirmed.
Now, PWInsider.com is reporting that Hall of Famer Ted ‘The Million Dollar Man’ DiBiase and X-Pac (Sean Waltman), will also be attending the show. With that, it appears (at least), the majority of D-Generation X will be there to celebrate Raw‘s 25th Anniversary at Madison Square Garden.
DiBiase had plenty of success as a wrestler with the WWE, winning a two Million Dollar Championships and three WWF Tag Team Championships. But his best work was as a heel manager and leader of the villainous Million Dollar Corporation Faction. DiBiase led a group that included Nikolai Volkoff, King Kong Bundy, ‘The Ringmaster’ Steve Austin, and others.
His son, Ted DiBiase Jr., wrestled in the WWE from 2007-13, and is best known for being part of “The Legacy” faction with Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes, also second/third-generation superstars.
As for X-Pac, he became in famous to wrestling fans in the ’90s as part of The Million Dollar Corporation, and as a member of the rebellious D-Generation X faction. He also had close relationships with Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Shawn Michaels and Triple H, dictating much of the WWF in the mid-90s.
X-Pac won two European Championships and four Tag Team titles in the WWF. He also won a pair of championships during his brief tenure in WCW. He’s considered to be one of the best wrestlers not in the WWE Hall of Fame right now.
