Ever since Tyson Fury's successful WWE debut at Crown Jewel - where he defeated Braun Strowman via countout - fans have been clamoring for the boxing champion to get back into the squared circle.

A potential dream match for Fury? Why not a showdown against former UFC star and current WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36? That would be a huge moneymaker, and it would pit two world-class combat athletes against one another.

Well, the good news for WWE fans is that Fury is keen on doing the match against Lesnar - and he dropped a major hint about it during an interview with Behind The Gloves (h/t Sportskeeda.com).

"It (WWE debut) went really well," Fury said. "It was a good experience. WWE were fantastic. I’m gonna go back and destroy Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble… WrestleMania, rather, in Florida this year (2020). After I beat Wilder, I’m coming for Brock."

Fury is set to go up against Deontay Wilder once again in Las Vegas, Nevada on Feb. 22. Surely, Fury won't have much (if any) time to prepare for a WWE return beforehand, but following his showdown with Wilder, there will be plenty of time for him to focus on a potential showdown with Lesnar.

Alex McCarthy of talkSport.com recently reported that WWE is considering both Fury and Cain Velasquez as potential opponents for Lesnar at WrestleMania 36. Velasquez, of course, defeated the Beast Incarnate at UFC 121 - but Lesnar evened the score with a quick victory at Crown Jewel.

Lesnar has already worked with a large portion of the top main event superstars in WWE, and without a doubt, a match against either Velasquez or Fury would lead to strong ratings and a lot of money for the company.

Fury vs. Lesnar Would Be A Match For The Ages

Many WWE fans have grown tired of Lesnar and other part-time performers taking up the spotlight, but a match between he and Fury would be a sight to behold. It's not every day that the WWE Universe gets to witness two world champion athletes (in different sports) clash on the Grandest Stage of Them All, after all. So let's hope that WWE and Fury can work out a deal and set up a potential match with Lesnar at WrestleMania in Tampa Bay.
