With The Undertaker's in-ring career coming to an end, it seems that his final rivals have now been set in stone. The Deadman has competed against countless legends throughout his career and had iconic feuds with the likes of Mankind, Bret Hart, and Hulk Hogan.

But when it comes to his final 10 rivalries, how do they stand up? When the Deadman was slowing down his in-ring work, which stories were able to push through those barriers and create incredible moments that will last a lifetime? Having been able to work with some top names during that period, he still got a lot of opportunities to shine. Even though some of his last 10 rivalries fell flat, others were incredible.

10 Goldberg

Undertaker and Goldberg

This was also quite a brief feud, but one WWE had been planting seeds for a while. The two men first went face to face during the 2017 Royal Rumble, where The Undertaker actually eliminated Goldberg from the match.

From that point, this battle was something that people wanted to see and there were plenty of rumblings for it. Eventually, WWE gave it to the fans, but sadly the match was a real trainwreck for both men, despite the fact that the build had been fun and the dream match idea on paper was great.

9 Bray Wyatt

Taker v Wyatt

This was another rivalry that fans had wanted to see for a long time. Bray Wyatt was a new dark character that felt like he had the potential to be the next Undertaker, so a WrestleMania storyline for them had a lot of excitement.

However, the actual story between them was never that engaging, and the fact their match took place in daylight really took people out of it, mainly because the setting didn't suit either man. The Wyatt Family facing The Brother's Of Destruction was slightly better though, but it still never reached the level people wanted.

8 Shane McMahon

Undertaker and Shane McMahon

The Hell in a Cell match between Shane McMahon and The Undertaker was certainly a fun spectacle, but the actual rivalry itself was a little bit all over the place. The mystery lockbox and the involvement of Vince made it clear that things were just messy and clearly not well thought out.

The two men then got tangled up together again for Extreme Rules 2019, where Undertaker randomly returned to team with Roman Reigns against Shane and Drew McIntyre. Again, it was a fun match, but the actual story surrounding it made little sense.

7 Roman Reigns

The Undertaker VS Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 33

Speaking of Roman Reigns, he and The Undertaker obviously had a major storyline together for WrestleMania 33. This one was well put together for the most part, with both men wanting to prove they were the alpha male of WWE.

Sadly, this feud was held back massively by the actual match itself. It's something that Undertaker has admitted he was upset about because the match between them was a really big let down and stopped this being the iconic storyline that it should have been.

6 John Cena

Undertaker vs John Cena

The ultimate dream match between John Cena and The Undertaker at WrestleMania could have been incredible. Sadly, they were given just minutes to work in the ring and it didn't reach the levels it should have done, but the atmosphere alone for that match was amazing.

All the build was done by John Cena, with Undertaker blanking him and refusing to answer his challenge until 'Mania, and it was great. Cena was at his very best here and he carried this storyline really well, and even though the match was short, The Deadman looked amazing, which is why it's looked back upon fondly.

5 CM Punk

Undertaker and CM Punk

Some people loved the storyline between CM Punk and The Undertaker, others hated it. Because they decided to use the real-life death of Paul Bearer, there was some controversy surrounding the angle, but Undertaker has come out and said Paul would have loved it, and that opinion has to be trusted.

They fully committed to the angle, which made it work so well, and fans were desperate to see 'Taker kick Punk's ass. They had a brilliant match together at WrestleMania 29 and Punk felt like someone who could have genuinely ended the streak, which made it even better.

4 AJ Styles

Undertaker and AJ Styles

Unless The Deadman decides to rise one more time, AJ Styles will go down in history as The Undertaker's final rival. Thankfully, it was a great one. Starting out in Saudi Arabia with the Tuwaiq Trophy, things kicked on a high gear with both men hitting each other with personal blows.

AJ Styles' promos cut close to the bone and it brought a great mix of The American Badass and The Deadman characters together. While it's a shame they didn't get to have their match in front of thousands, as it could have been really good, they put together arguably the greatest cinematic match of all time to wrap things up in style.

3 Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker

When looking at The Undertaker's career as a whole, Brock Lesnar will go down as one of his top 10 rivals of all time. They've feuded during both Brock's runs in WWE and their most recent storyline was a lot of fun to watch.

The Beast ending the WrestleMania undefeated streak rocked The Deadman's confidence, and it showed a more vulnerable side to him. Of course, they went on to have further matches, with their Hell in a Cell encounter being particularly strong, creating a fantastic rivalry in the process.

2 Shawn Michaels

Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels

While Brock did what Shawn Michaels couldn't in terms of ending the streak, it was HBK and Undertaker who had a better story. This was both men still in their prime, putting together two of the greatest wrestling matches of all time.

A storyline that spanned over an entire year, this was truly incredible work. The first match was fun, but the rivalry was much better heading into the rematch. Shawn's desperation and The Undertaker's sheer confidence against him made for such a compelling story.

1 Triple H

Triple H vs Undertaker

The actual matches between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels were certainly stronger, but when it comes to the story behind it all, things went to another level with Triple H. They were the last of a generation, two veterans going into battle one last time, and it was a story that worked perfectly.

Triple H looking to finish what his best friend started, the involvement of Shawn for the epic Hell in a Cell match, everything about it was perfect. Triple H's story does really cross paths with Shawn's, and it just felt like they reached another gear here.
