The Undertaker's legendary streak at WrestleMania is one of the reasons why fans hold such a special place in their hearts for The Deadman. While his standards have dropped slightly as the years have gone on, everyone still loves hearing that gong sound before seeing him stroll down to the ring.

Today, we want to take a look at his last 10 outings at the "Showcase of the Immortals" and separate the good from the bad. There's quite the mix in there, but even with that being the case, we shouldn't try and diminish his iconic status as an all-time great in WWE.

10 John Cena - WrestleMania 34

We understand that The Undertaker wasn’t really at a point where his mobility was considered ‘good’ back at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans, but if that was the case, they shouldn’t have even had the match to begin with.

The fact that it was so short was the most disappointing part of it all, because not only was it over before it had even begun, but we didn’t even know whether or not it was going to be official until the actual night of the event.

For WWE, this felt like a big swing and a miss.

9 Brock Lesnar - WrestleMania XXX

This was the night professional wrestling stood still.

When Brock Lesnar lifted The Undertaker onto his shoulders for a third F5 and the referee made the three count, nobody could quite believe what had just happened.

Unfortunately, even though the actual moment will live on forever, the match will only really be remembered for Taker’s concussion. Brock had to carry him through pretty much the entire thing, and it didn’t make for a pretty sight.

This was a brave decision from WWE, but we aren’t so sure it worked how they wanted it to work.

8 Roman Reigns - WrestleMania 33

This was Roman’s big chance to take out The Deadman and officially take the torch from him and run with it. Alas, the match was clunky, plenty of spots were blown, and the fans just weren’t really into this as a main event on the grandest stage of them all.

The post-match shenanigans of Taker leaving his hat and coat in the middle of the ring were great, but that moment no longer matters because he didn’t actually retire on that night in Orlando.

7 Shane McMahon - WrestleMania 32

Here comes the money.

The return of Shane-o-Mac was as bizarre as it was entertaining, and the fans bought into it completely. When it was announced that he’d be facing Undertaker inside Hell in a Cell, nobody could quite believe or understand what they were trying to accomplish.

The match itself was fine but you could tell Shane hadn’t been in there for a while. The spot with Shane diving off the top of the cell, understandably, is what makes this one higher than it probably should be in the rankings.

6 Bray Wyatt - WrestleMania 31

While rumors had circulated earlier in the day that Bray Wyatt tweaked his ankle in the lead-up to his match against The Undertaker, few people really noticed as the pair put on a really entertaining match in Santa Clara.

This marked Taker’s big return after the streak was broken one year prior, and even though he just kind of went through his greatest hits, he still looked better than he had done since WrestleMania 29.

In truth, though, this probably would’ve been better in the dark as opposed to the California sunshine.

5 Triple H - WrestleMania XXVII

This one was all about the story, with Triple H doing everything he possibly could to try and put Taker down for the three count.

At two or three points we legitimately felt as if this was going to be where the streak died, but The Phenom knows how to pull off the remarkable when it seems unlikely.

This was almost certainly the highlight of the show in Atlanta, but if you put it up against some of his other efforts around that timeframe, it just falls short of the mark.

4 CM Punk - WrestleMania 29

The build-up to this match took an emotional turn following the death of Paul Bearer, but aside from that, the real story was the chemistry that these two were able to share on that night in 2013.

Everyone knew that Punk was going to do everything in his power to draw a great match out of The Undertaker, and in return, Big Mark was going to give Punk everything he possibly had.

The end result was a back and forth encounter that constantly had us on the edge of our seat.

3 Shawn Michaels - WrestleMania XXVI

"The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels finally rode off into the sunset at the end of WrestleMania XXVI after losing his retirement match to The Undertaker.

He was obsessed with the idea of breaking The Streak, but he just couldn’t quite get the job done as he’d imagined.

The best part about this was the emotion of it all. Nobody knew for sure whether or not Shawn was going to hang up his boots, mainly because the idea of him beating Taker actually seemed quite plausible.

It just wasn’t to be.

2 Triple H - WrestleMania XXVIII

The end of an era didn’t mark the final match of Taker, HBK or HHH’s career, but it did give us one hell of a spectacle.

This was the perfect way to, at the time, end the rivalry of these men once and for all, with HBK serving as a perfectly capable special guest referee.

Between the atmosphere from the crowd, the Hell in a Cell structure and that insane near fall (you know the one), this was really special.`

From this point on, neither man was ever really able to top this effort in future bouts.

1 Shawn Michaels - WrestleMania XXV

The greatest WrestleMania match of all time, and one of the greatest professional wrestling matches ever.

Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker – two of the greatest of all time – went out there and painted the perfect masterpiece. The psychology on display from these two complete and utter legends was just magnificent, with neither being able to put the other away.

All it took was one key mistake from Michaels to open the door for Taker, and of course, he was happy to oblige.

This match cements their respective legacies beyond a shadow of a doubt.
