Reports are surfacing that WWE Superstar Sin Cara has asked for his official release from WWE. He's taken to social media to relay his stance on his current place in the company and while he's thankful for the opportunity, he's not a happy camper.

In a tweet that has been translated into English, Sin Cara wrote in a release earlier on Monday:

Last night, after praying and considering it a lot, thinking about my children and in the future, I made one of the most difficult but sensible decisions I have had to make in my professional wrestling career; I have asked for my WWE release.

He added that he feels stuck in a place where he's not valued as an athlete and that he stayed loyal and hard-working to WWE but was never given an opportunity to show the world what he could really do as a performer. He said the best years are still ahead for him and that he's excited about what the future may bring.

He thanked WWE for the opportunity and the WWE Universe for their support, making it sound as though his release was granted. Of course, at the time of this report, there is no news from WWE whether or not they will let the actor who plays Sin Cara out of his deal.

WWE Should Let Him Leave

In all reality, while it's unfortunate that WWE has not done much with the Sin Cara character, there are a lot of talents who can play the role if the company wants to keep that character alive. WWE owns the Sin Cara name and this is the second performer to wear the outfit and play the role. Letting Jorge Arias out of his deal, really doesn't hurt WWE.

Even if WWE decides not to move forward with the Sin Cara character, few will care as the character wasn't being used as more than an enhancement talent.
