Former WWE superstar CM Punk is finally getting back into the octagon to participate in his second UFC fight since making the switch over to mixed martial arts in 2014.

Unfortunately Punk's first UFC fight ended up having to be delayed in 2015 after he suffered a shoulder injury. Then in 2016 he had to undergo surgery for a herniated disc, which once again sidelined him.

CM Punk finally make his debut at UFC 203 in September of 2016, but ended up losing to Mickey Gall in a very unimpressive match on his part.

Almost two years later and Punk will finally have another chance at proving himself as an MMA fighter as he prepares to face off against Mike Jackson at UFC 225 in Chicago on June 9th.

With the fight under two months away, Las Vegas oddsmaker Bovada has released their odds and they don't seem very confident that Punk will come away with his first UFC win.

CM Punk is a currently a -200 underdog against Jackson. This means that his odds of winning are 2:1 and that's not good at all for him.

Jackson recently spoke with TMZ Sports and stated that he's going to end CM Punk's MMA career and that this is not the sport for for the former WWE star.

"I'm just going in here to beat him up a little bit and show him it's not for him," Jackson said.

Just last month, Jackson was threatening Punk, but he made it clear that he really doesn't want to hurt him.

Jackson believes he was scheduled to fight CM Punk because of the buzz that it's been able to create around the sport.

"If you bring in someone else ... it's not gonna get this type of buzz. It's getting this type of buzz because of me," said Jackson.

Jackson went as far as to say that WWE chairman Vince McMahon couldn't write this storyline. That's going a little too far.

"This is a storyline not even Vince McMahon could write,"he said.

Aside from Bovada and Jackson being confident that he'll defeat CM Punk, commentator and behind-the-scenes executive Alberto Del Rio told UPROXX that he believes Punk will do great and that he wasn't bad during his first fight.

"I think he’s gonna do great. I know he was bashed by everyone after his first fight, but, to be honest, I don’t think he did a bad job in that fight. I mean, he got caught by a guy with more experience than him, that’s the way it is. That’s the way the sport works, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, and you can be the best fighter in the world and you have someone submitting you, just because you close your eyes for a fraction of a second. That’s the way it is in MMA," said Del Rio.

It's great that Del Rio is confident in CM Punk, but I think Bovada got it right with their odds. He's not going to win this fight and all his fans can hope for is that he shows some progress from his first fight to this upcoming match.
