Vince McMahon is certainly a genius who has achieved an incredible amount in his career by taking WWE to the level that it is now, although he hasn't gotten there without a few hiccups during his time as the chairman of the company.

It is well known that every single storyline or creative idea has to go through Vince McMahon, with the WWE Chairman accepting some incredible and some terrible ideas over the years. However, any bad idea that is given to him, he is able to blame on someone else. But that doesn't mean he hasn't come up with some shockingly awful ideas himself. Thankfully, some of his worst ideas have stopped. Within this article, we will take a look at 10 of Vince McMahon's craziest ideas that were all denied and stopped from actually making their way to our television screens.

10 His Own Death

Vince McMahon has wanted to be taken off television for many years, and despite having different moments where it has been done, the WWE Chairman always ends up strutting back down the ramp at some point.

However, his most serious idea was when he decided to have himself be 'blown up' when entering his own limousine, in what was a very interesting and shocking angle that got the world talking.

But, with the death of Chris Benoit and his family, Vince was quickly made to back up on the idea and he pulled the rug on the entire storyline, returning to television immediately.

9 Sheamus Vs Daniel Bryan III

Daniel Bryan and Sheamus had competed against each other at back to back WrestleMania's, competing at 27 (on the pre-show), and 28, in the infamous 18-second match that started that Yes Movement.

However, if Vince McMahon had his way, they would have actually had a trio of matches as he wanted them to compete at WrestleMania 30 in a singles match, that's right, the same WrestleMania where Bryan ended up becoming World Heavyweight Champion in the main event.

Vince really wanted Batista to face Randy Orton in singles action in the main event, but when CM Punk walked out he had to change his mind to fit Triple H onto the show and with the overwhelming fan support, the Chairman changed that plan and the rest is history.

8 Goldust's Implants

Whilst many of Vince's craziest ideas often involve his talent doing some ridiculous things on live television, none of them actually change their physical appearance, for life, apart from this insane plan that he had.

Back in the 1990s, Goldust was one of the hottest characters in the company with his unique gimmick raising plenty of eyebrows, and because of that Vince wanted to take it to the next level.

His idea was to actually have Dustin Rhodes get breast implants, having surgery that would alter his life forever. Whilst it might seem crazy, Dustin was actually on board with the idea, but thankfully, other people shot that down.

7 The Bret Hart Documentary

The relationship between Vince McMahon and Bret Hart is certainly a complex one and everyone knows that the two men had a major fallout following on from Montreal Screwjob, and it wasn't expected that they would ever patch things up.

However, the WWE Chairman reached out to Hart following his career-ending match with Goldberg and discussed the opportunity to work on a documentary and a DVD set as he tried to bring the two back together.

But, Vince's original idea was a lot more sinister, actually wanting to do a documentary called; Screwed: The Bret Hart Story, which would have been similar to The Self-Destruction of The Ultimate Warrior, which made him look terrible.

6 The Undertaker's WrestleMania Streak

Whether you liked the fact that Brock Lesnar ended the legendary undefeated WrestleMania streak of The Undertaker or not, you cannot argue that the Beast wasn't a worthy name to receive the honor.

Lesnar has always been a top main event star in the company and has had an incredible run ever since beating the Deadman, but he wasn't actually Vince's original pick to defeat The Undertaker.

That was actually, Mark Henry. Even though the World's Strongest Man is a brilliant wrestler and a legend of the business, having this idea be rejected was a blessing for what ended up being something so legendary.

5 A Man In Drag

Back in 2006, WWE had a storyline of Melina trying to seduce Batista on SmackDown but ended up turning on him claiming he was "forcing himself" on her, threatening that she would take legal action against him.

It was a very strange angle that didn't do many positives for either, but Vince actually had the idea to have Melina reveal herself to be a man in drag, which really would have made this entire storyline an infamous mess. We have Stephanie McMahon to thank for this one not taking place, with Stephanie refusing to allow this storyline to happen, which likely saved Melina's career.

4 WCW Monday Night Raw

After taking over WCW, Vince McMahon had plenty of ideas about what he wanted to do with the talents he signed and his first plan was to actually split the roster and have Monday Night Raw be specifically for WCW.

Vince felt that the viewership would remain strong for both shows as WCW had such a strong following, but the fact he wasn't able to secure many of their top stars became a glaring issue.

After the horrendous Booker T vs Buff Bagwell match on Raw, TV networks put their foot down and didn't want to touch the idea, with Vince instead turning to work on bringing the (also dreadful) ECW version of WWE to life.

3 Burying The Shield

The reason that The Shield has gone down in history as one of the greatest factions of all time is down to how strong they were booked, dominating pretty much everyone who stood in their way.

Some may remember the brief storyline that the Hounds of Justice had with The Undertaker, taking out the Deadman, and he was set to return for SummerSlam to team with his brother, and a third member (rumored to be Daniel Bryan), where Vince wanted to squash the trio.

At the time, it would have been The Shield's first defeat in WWE and whilst it may not have hurt them too much, it is good that this idea was stopped before it went too far.

2 The Undertaker's Debut

WWE spent a lot of focus leading up to Survivor Series in 1990 on an oversized egg, which WWE promised was going to hatch during the PPV, with fans expecting a brand new star to appear.

In the end, that star was...the Gobbledy Gooker. Whilst that was a major letdown after all the hype, it was actually a blessing in disguise that nobody really knew about at the time, as Vince's original idea for the egg would have totally changed to wrestling landscape.

The Undertaker is one of the most iconic characters of all time, and he debuted the very same night of the Gooker, but Vince wanted 'Taker to actually hatch out of the egg, but that was stopped, and thankfully, The Undertaker's gimmick was saved straight away.

1 The Incest Angle

When it comes to crazy ideas that Vince McMahon has had over the years, this one really takes the first prize and is actually hard to believe considering who is involved, and even though he asks a lot of his family, this was one idea too far.

In 2003, Stephanie McMahon became pregnant in real life with Triple H, and Vince decided he wanted to turn it into a storyline, that made sense, but who he wanted to be the father really didn't.

His first idea was for himself (that's right), being the father of the child, but when Stephanie refused, his next idea was her brother, Shane McMahon. Thankfully, yet again his children refused this ridiculous idea.
