The storyline of Kurt Angle being the father of young Jason Jordan hasn't exactly gotten over with the WWE Universe. The Raw general manager tried building up his storyline son, but the babyface-portraying Jordan has been met with plenty of boos and criticism from the fans.

This is far from the first time the WWE tried pushing a babyface, only for the fans to reject him. Roman Reigns obviously comes to mind, though chairman Vince McMahon doesn't seem to see it that way.

However, Angle recently did an interview with CBS, and admitted that Vince himself knew the fans wouldn't be so high on Jordan.

"Everything that has occurred up until now, Vince [McMahon] already knew how they were going to react, so this has been working. As many fans will say 'it's not working' and 'get rid of him' or 'I'm not buying it,' now that the storyline has started to span out and developing further, it was a good fit."

Angle also added that Jordan "is doing a great job," while "carrying the storyline very well." On top of that, the Olympic gold medalist believes that his storyline son has the ability and is deserving of being a main event superstar.

Jordan has displayed excellent in-ring ability and is among the more athletic superstars on the roster. But his lack of charisma and microphone skills have hurt him, making many of his promos with Angle feel extremely forced.

When Bray Wyatt attacked Jordan and caused him to miss Survivor Series, the crowd cheered loudly and chanted "Thank You, Wyatt." Angle then had Triple H come in and replace his son on Team Raw.

But it appears as though McMahon and the creative team are trusting the process with Jordan. He hasn't gotten over with the crowd yet, but this appears to just be part of their plan. We'll see how WWE continues to develop Jordan in the year 2018, and if the fans start to accept him more.
