It's not a secret that WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon is one wealthy person. He's not worth millions of dollars, but instead billions of dollars.

So you might be wondering, where does 72 year-old McMahon rank in comparison to other billionaires? Well, at $1.78 billion, he's ranked 1,426th in the world and 386th in the United States, according to Forbes.

Forbes has a bar graph that displays McMahon's net worth over time from 2010 to 2018. His value over that course of time, in order, is $1.1 billion, $700 million, $570 million, $1.2 billion, $1.3 billion and $1.7 billion.

I would imagine that McMahon selling numerous shares of his stock in WWE, in order to fund a revival of the XFL, didn't help his value this year. There is no doubt that the success of the XFL's second go around will have an impact on his worth.

When looking at Forbes' graph, McMahon's value was at it's lowest in 2001 and 2002. The XFL debuted in 2001 and was a flop by the time 2002 rolled around. I don't think that's a coincidence.

What's truly amazing about McMahon is that he grew up in a trailer park in North Carolina and then joined his father's wrestling company all the way back in 1972. He bought the company in 1982 and since then has taken WWE (formerly the WWF) to world wide recognition. McMahon is an inspiration and an example that it doesn't matter whether your rich or poor, you can be successful in the United States.

McMahon did graduate from East Carolina University with a bachelor's degree in none other than arts and science.

Not only is McMahon famous and wealthy, but his wife has carved out quite the political career for herself. She was selected by President Donald Trump to lead the U.S. Small Business Administration in February of 2017.

When it comes to McMahon's value, I expected him to be ranked higher. Then again, I had no idea that so many people are worth billions of dollars in this world.
