Speculation is that Vince McMahon has personally stepped in to oversee one particular SmackDown storyline and is fully behind a certain star. That storyline is the Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville and Otis angle. The star is Otis. Oh Yeaaaah!
While Deville has turned heads in a way few expected, McMahon is reported to be extremely high on Otis' potential and now having stepped in to work directly with the talents on their story, he's getting to see what Otis can offer first-hand.
The reason Vince stepped in was because WWE released the writer that was formerly working on this angle. Andrea Listenberger was the writer responsible for what was going on with this storyline and Vince feels that he's now responsible for making sure it continues to stay a strong story for the company. Ringside News is now reporting that “Vince is the driving force on all things Otis.”
Writers or not, Vince has the final say on all creative ideas. But, word is, he's heavily invested in this story and the Heavy Machinery push on the blue brand. Otis is set to compete in his first Money In The Bank ladder match next Sunday and he was heavily considered as an option to win.
What Is The Future For Otis?
It's hard to know what Vince has planned for the big man. He's been getting a lot of time on camera without his partner and one has to wonder if a singles push is in his future without Tucker.
The romance between Mandy and Otis isn't expected to last long. Both Otis and Mandy will go on to other creative ideas but the real star that excels here could be Deville. She's been lights out good and we can only hope Vince has noticed that too.
