For all the stick that Vince McMahon gets, the man is still a wrestling genius. The WWE Chairman is responsible for so much in wrestling and that all comes from his incredibly creative mind.

However, there is no doubt that he does get a few things wrong every now and then. Perhaps more so than ever people are constantly picking faults due to the rise of social media, but don't often look at the positives.

However, within this article, we will look back at the current decade, taking a look at the five best and worst decisions that Vince has made.

10 Best: Bringing Back Brock Lesnar

Some people might think that re-signing Brock Lesnar isn't one of the best decisions Vince McMahon has made, but they would be wrong. The Beast has made such an impact in this decade and he doesn't get enough credit for it.

While some of his title reigns might have gone on a little too long, it can't be denied that he brings a great deal of attention whenever he fights. Lesnar is a big deal, and that star power is unlike anything else in the company.

Vince was absolutely right to bring the Beast back to the company, and the way he has been booked was correct. Having him lose very rarely has only made him more of an attraction, and that is something Vince deserves credit for.

9 Worst: Treatment Of CM Punk

Vince McMahon is one of the only people in the business that can happily treat his top talents like garbage and not care at all. The perfect example of that is how he treated CM Punk.

Despite Punk being the top star in the company, Vince didn't have faith in him to headline WrestleMania, which is all he wanted. But it was how he treated Punk when he left that really saw him make a mistake.

From firing him on his wedding day to having major arguments with him, this was a big mistake on Vince's behalf.

8 Best: Pushing New Talents

People might complain about how John Cena dominated large portions of this and the previous decade, Vince doesn't get the credit for changing the landscape. Long gone are the days of giants dominating WWE and that is down to Vince's booking.

Nowadays, talents of any size can be taken seriously as World Titleholders. From CM Punk and Daniel Bryan to Seth Rollins or The Miz, people of different body shapes and sizes have been able to compete at the top.

This has allowed new talents to showcase their abilities and it has made WWE a stronger product in general.

7 Worst: Forcing Roman Reigns

You would think that Vince McMahon might have learned his lesson from John Cena in this regard. However, he did not and when Roman Reigns came along he simply saw the potential he had and decided to force him into the main event scene.

Making the Big Dog the new face of WWE was the right decision due to the fact he had the look and the skill. However, Vince made that call far too soon in his career and pushed him too hard.

All this ever does is alienate the WWE Universe, and that is exactly what happened. While Reigns didn't quite get to Cena levels of hate, he hasn't exactly been a top babyface either.

6 Best: NXT

Even though NXT is Triple H's baby, it was very much Vince McMahon's decision to give it the green light to become a weekly television show. Just as it was his decision to then make the show go live on the USA Network.

This is easily one of the best decisions that Vince McMahon has made as it has led to some of the greatest WWE television of this decade. From incredible storylines to amazing wrestling matches, NXT has had it all.

There's a reason that the show has become as popular as it has, and the show has opened the doors to so many amazing wrestlers. While Vince has no say in the show, just allowing it to happen and trusting Triple H was the right call.

5 Worst: Ruining Countless NXT Stars

While Vince McMahon has no say on what happens on NXT each week, he does have a say on when wrestlers move from Full Sail to Raw or SmackDown. While he has done an amazing job at times with Seth Rollins and Charlotte Flair, for example, he has also ruined others.

Whether it be EC3, The Revival, or Bo Dallas, Vince hasn't always done right by these talents. Too many times Vince has simply called up a wrestler simply for the sake of it, without having much of a plan.

This has ruined a lot of the hard work that Triple H and NXT's creative put in and has led to frustration amongst some wrestlers. But now with NXT on the USA Network, this problem might be set to stop.

4 Best: Women's Evolution

While Vince McMahon's hand was fairly forced with this one due to how well the women's wrestlers were getting over. However, despite how talented the women were proving themselves to be, it is down to Vince whether they get air time or not.

If he didn't want to, Vince could have easily kept the women to five-minute segments if he wanted. Even though the fans then demanded it, the WWE Chairman didn't need to go as far he has done with the women.

However, it is a good job that he did. Women's wrestling has taken over WWE and the talent have gone above and beyond, proving themselves time after time to be as good, if not better than the men.

3 Worst: Destroying Nexus

You're either Nexus, or you're against us. Sadly, Vince McMahon was certainly against them. The Nexus could have been a groundbreaking faction in WWE that totally changed the game, but because of Vince's booking, they became forgettable.

Their debut is one of the greatest of this decade, if not of all time, but it only took a matter of months for Vince to weaken them. The group should have been an all-time great faction, but they ended up floundering.

This was one of Vince's biggest mistakes and it kicked off the decade. Had he booked things differently, Nexus could have dominated WWE for years, and not weeks.

2 Best: The WWE Network

When it comes to this decade, the creation of the WWE Network is, without doubt, Vince McMahon's best decision. The Network has totally changed the way that fans consume wrestling and it has done so for the better.

Gone are the days of paying over $50 for a PPV, instead it simply costs $9.99 per month and you get tons of additional content. While it's essentially ended the PPV market, it is a much better way for fans to enjoy the product.

Fans can consume wrestling 24/7 if they so please no, with old PPVs, original content, podcasts and tons more. Fans had high expectations for it, and thankfully, WWE managed to meet them.

1 Worst: Burying Tag Team Wrestling

One of the biggest mistakes Vince McMahon has made this decade is his treatment of the tag team division. For some reason, the WWE Chairman has stopped taking pride in the tag team wrestling scene, despite having great talents.

This decade has seen some of the best tag teams in history compete, yet for whatever reason Vince has shown no interest in taking them seriously. Occasionally they might get given a run on television and a few lengthy matches, but that's as far as it goes.

Vince really has made a big mistake with this as tag team wrestling can be incredible. Considering AEW is now pushing tag team wrestling seriously, hopefully, this will change.
