The Shield are back together! Last week on Raw the most beloved trio in recent years in WWE finally reunited after three and a half years apart. Ever since Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose made it official the WWE Universe has been awash with all sorts of conversations about The Hounds of Justice. How will their first match go at TLC? Will they be joined by a fourth man at the pay-per-view to level the playing field? Who will they face next after they're done with The Miz and friends?

Well, unfortunately, there is a more downbeat question that needs to be posted. When and how will they break up? We're sorry Shield fans but this latest incarnation of everybody's favorite faction is likely not long for this world, and before you know it the three brothers will once again be separate entities.

5. Braun Strowman Tears Them Apart

The Shield made themselves a pretty terrifying enemy on night one of their second run together. Braun Strowman was on his way to the locker room with a freshly defeated Matt Hardy draped over his shoulder to do God knows what to him. The Shield weren't having that though. The three men met The Monster Among Men at the top of the entrance way and doled out some of their old-fashioned justice. Subsequently, Braun has been added to their match with The Miz and The Bar on Sunday at TLC. Now Strowman likely won't act that fast, but the big man isn't one who forgets too quickly. Those actions will have started something burning inside Strowman and knowing his temper and strength, he could easily sideline one of The Hounds and bring the faction to its knees.

4. Dean Turns On Seth

Let's not forget how this reunion really began all the way back before SummerSlam. Rollins wanted Ambrose on his side and The Lunatic Fringe was reluctant to forgive his former brother for what he did to him and The Big Dog years ago. Eventually, they buried the hatchet, of course, the pair of them went on to win the Tag Team Championships, and now we have a fully reformed Shield. Ambrose is still a pretty unstable guy though and who can tell what he's really thinking. One wrong move or misplaced word from Rollins and we could see Ambrose snap and take some long overdue revenge on The Kingslayer.

3. Ambrose Aligns Himself With Triple H

Ambrose snapping and giving Rollins a beating may be just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the decimation of The Shield 2.0. It's certainly no secret that perhaps The Hounds of Justice's greatest nemesis is The Game, Triple H. The Cerebral Assassin was the man behind the first demise of The Shield when he lured The Architect to the dark side. Since then, he has had bitter singles feuds with Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins, both rivalries that wound up with Triple H losing at WrestleMania. He also had a short run in with Ambrose, though 'Aitch actually came out on top during that feud. The Game will obviously be seeking retribution, for his losses, however, and what better way to get it than to play on the insecurities of a lunatic. It really wouldn't take much more than a word in Ambrose's ear to get him thinking and bring down The Shield from within.

2. Roman Has Bigger Fish To Fry

Let's not let WWE make us lose sight of exactly why this reunion is happening. Vince McMahon is still desperately trying to find a way to get fans cheering for Roman Reigns. Well, he will most certainly have that with The Big Dog as a part of The Shield, and regardless of the factions reunification, Reigns' plans for WrestleMania 34 will still be going ahead. By the end of the year, Reigns will remember that he actually wants to take down Brock Lesnar and win the Universal Championship, and with that, we'll all eagerly be awaiting the next Shield reunion three and a half more years down the line.

1. They All Want To Be Universal Champion

via ewrestling.com

Hopefully, WWE's plan to break up The Shield isn't as simple as Roman Reigns wanting to be Universal Champion. After all, his brothers in The Shield are both former WWE Champions themselves. A much better way of breaking up the trio as we head down the road to WrestleMania will be for all three men to slowly realize that they all want the same thing. That it isn't the same as the first time when two-thirds of the faction were Tag Team Champions and hadn't ALL tasted top singles success. Now, they are all World Title contenders, and holding that championship means a lonely life. It would also make for a great Fatal Four Way at the Royal Rumble where The Beast escapes with his title due to The Shield members turning on each other.
