If football can have The Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders and basketball can have The Laker Girls, then why shouldn’t the wrestling industry have its own dancing troupe of beautiful ladies? That’s the thought that Eric Bischoff had years ago when he approached Kimberly Page with the idea for the Nitro Girls.

For several years, the troupe was one of the most popular acts on Monday Nitro, keeping fans in the live crowd firmly glued in their seats and entertained during commercial breaks. It wasn’t before long that the group was also added to the storylines. Some ladies would stay in the business and achieve greater fame, others went back to “civilian” life after their run on Mondays.

10 Kimberly Page

Kimberly

As the founder of the Nitro Girls, Kimberly Page was seen sort of as their central face. She spent several years seconding her then-husband Diamond Dallas Page to the ring and was and integral part of DDP’s star-making feud with The Macho Man. As the Nitro Girls headed into separate storylines, she went back to hanging out with her husband. After trying her hand at acting, which included a memorable cameo in The 40-Year Old Virgin, Kimberly decided to try her hand at marketing and design and now lives in Utah.

9 Fyre (Teri Byrne)

Fyre

As a former fitness model, Teri Byrne has met Kimberly at a gym and after striking up a friendship, she was asked to join the Nitro Girls as Fyre. Her dynamic look was tailor-made for the era with toned abs and fire-orange hair.

She did not enjoy the wrestling aspect of professional wrestling or being involved in some of the storylines and headed out of the business where she tried to form a music group Diversity-5 (with other Nitro Girls) before heading home to be a director of enrollment for the University Of Phoenix and hanging out with her family and rescue horse.

8 Spice (Melissa Bellin)

Spice

As one of the original Nitro Girls, Spice (aka Melissa Bellin) immediately captivated WCW fans. She was one of several girls who headed into the storylines. Spice would manage Evan Karagias and Madusa for a short time. She has since retired and has had little to nothing to do with business ever since. According to the internet, she was also a member of the Nitro Girl group Diversity 5 before heading off to be a mom and a life coach.

7 Tayo (Tayo Reed)

Tayo

With a name like Tayo Reed, Tayo didn’t need some flashy stage name to go by. Despite not being in the business for long, the former Nitro Girl went on to attempt a singing career as well as work for Six Flags as one of their featured performers and as one of the Atlanta Hawks and Falcon’s dancers. Like a lot of the girls though, Reed has also opted for a quieter lifestyle - after her run on Monday Nitro, she owns and operates Tayo Reed’s International Academy Of Dance in Riverdale, Georgia.

6 Tygress (Vanessa Sanchez)

Tygress

Prior to joining the Nitro Girls, New York native, Vanessa Sanchez would earn her college degree in accounting before joining up with the Nitro Girls and being rechristened as Tygress in 1997. She was part of the crew for several years but when the group disbanded she would wind up hanging out with The Filthy Animals, where she actually teamed up with Konnan at Halloween Havoc 2000 against Shane Douglas and Torrie Wilson. Nowadays, instead of managing a group of wrestlers, Sanchez manages risks for a financial institution in Atlanta.

5 Syren (Allison Pfau)

Syren

Allison Pfau, aka Syren, was one of the newer Nitro Girls, joining the group in 2000. After leaving the group, she became involved in storylines with Reno, Billy Kidman, and Shane Douglas.

While there isn’t a lot of information for Pfau's post-wrestling career, she does have a LinkedIn profile showing that she is a merchandise manager for a company called Fashion Nova.

4 Gold / Silver (Diane / Elaine Klimaszewski)

Gold And Silver

Before the Bellas enveloped the Divas Division with their twin magic, the Klimaszewski Twins, Diane and Elaine tried to do the same for WCW Monday Nitro. The aspiring actresses and models had been in and out of the entertainment industry since appearing on Let’s Make A Deal in 1990. Several years later they debuted as Nitro Girls Gold and Silver.

After their brief appearance, they were scooped up by WWE and sent to UPW where they began teaming up as The Power Twins. Their stint there didn’t last long either. After being released, the twins continued to dabble in Hollywood and lately have been running their own fashion line, Zipper Girls.

3 Skye (Stacy Keibler)

Skye

Long before Jimmy’s Famous Seafood became Maryland’s greatest gift to wrestling and wrestling fandom, the state gave all of us fans an even greater export. Stacy Keibler thought it would be fun to enter a contest to find the next Nitro Girl. Thankfully for us all, lo and behold, she was able to win the coveted spot. But it didn’t take long for Skye to become Miss Hancock and eventually David Flair’s girlfriend.

As one of two divas that WWE took on after the buyout, Stacy became an even greater star, hanging around the likes of the Dudleys and even Vince McMahon. In her years after WWE, she has made various appearances on shows like Dancing With The Stars and has started a family with FutureAds CEO Jared Pobre.

2 Storm (Sharmell)

Sharmell

Getting her start in WCW as Storm, Sharmell Sullivan was a beauty queen before signing on with the company in 1998 and she’d end her career as a queen to her husband Booker T’s king.

In between, the woman formerly known as Storm would transition to becoming Paisley and managing The Artist and Kwee Wee. After accompanying Booker to the ring in both WWE and TNA, Queen Sharmell has helped make the kingdom a happy home for the family.

1 Whisper (Rebecca Curci)

Whisper

It was literally love at first sight when Shawn Michaels had sat down to watch an edition of Monday Nitro. After catching his eye, HBK asked his buddies that were in WCW to introduce him to Nitro Girl Whisper, aka Rebecca Curci. Wrestling fans all over (and Shawn) have Rebecca to thank for helping Shawn get clean, get saved, allow him to return to WWE, and finish his career under his terms. After her WCW career, she made a few WWE appearances at her husband’s side.
