WCW/NWO Revenge remains one of the best wrestling games of all time. The AKI property was a sequel to WCW/NWO World Tour and was a widely popular game that included one of the best rosters of all time featuring legends like Macho Man Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, Sting, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall, as well as wrestlers that would eventually cross from WCW to WWE in the Monday Night Wars.

While the roster featured a lot of names synonymous with WCW, there were some inclusions that might surprise you. A handful of playable characters have been forgotten to time.

10 Bret Hart

Before crossing over to WCW, Bret Hart was a WWE legend and multiple-time World Champion. Bret is a part of the iconic Hart family from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and a graduate of the Hart Dungeon and the family's Stampede Wrestling promotion.

In 1997, Hart signed with WCW for the first time in his career. Even though the NWO was built on ex-WWF talent, Hart sided with WCW, a promotion he had never wrestled for. As a result of his switch, Bret featured as a part of the WCW roster on the game but was behind the likes of Goldberg in the picking order. He recently admitted that he regretted his run with the promotion.

9 Chris Benoit

Before crossing to WWE with Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn, and Eddie Guerrero, Benoit was identified as a future star in WCW. Before crossing from WCW to WWE, Benoit defeated Sid Vicious to become the WCW World Heavyweight Champion.

Despite being a world champion, Benoit's run with WCW was overshadowed by his WWE career. Benoit is also buried in the WCW roster behind the likes of Goldberg and DDP.

8 Curt Hennig

Curt Hennig is in the same boat as Bret Hart, with an underwhelming WCW run after establishing himself as one of the best wrestlers for WWE in the 1990s.

After establishing himself as Mr. Perfect, Hennig had to return to his legal name for WCW as WWE owned the rights to the Mr. Perfect gimmick. Hennig was listed at the bottom of Hogan's NWO Hollywood stable in the game.

7 Chris Jericho

WCW never got to experience the full potential of Chris Jericho. The Canadian wrestler worked for the promotion for three years between 1996 to 1999. In 1999, Jericho crossed to wrestle for WWE and established himself as one of the biggest stars for the promotion.

Despite leaving WCW a year later, Jericho was still a part of the roster when the game was developed. Jericho was buried down on the fourth page of the WCW section of the roster. To be fair, that fourth page ended up including a lot of talent that will appear later on this list.

6 Raven

Raven, who also wrestled as Johnny Polo and Scotty Flamingo wrestled for WCW, WWE, and ECW. Raven's career highlights saw him win the ECW World Heavyweight title twice, single reigns with the WCW Light Heavyweight and the United States titles, as well as 27 reigns with the WWE Hardcore title.

In WCW/NWO Revenge, Raven was not only on the roster but was a cover athlete for the game. Appearing in between Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, and Goldberg, Raven stood in the shot as the leader of the Raven's Flock stable. Considering the heights the other three men reached, Raven's inclusion is an odd one.

5 Rey Misterio

In WCW, Rey Mysterio established himself as one of the best Cruiserweight wrestlers in the world. After the sale of WCW, Rey returned to wrestling in Mexico before making his WWE debut in 2002. Mysterio is a 2-time Heavyweight Champion and former WWE Champion in WWE.

In WCW/NWO Revenge, Mysterio appeared in his red mask and blue pants combination. A year after the release of the game, Mysterio would lose his mask in a handicap match against Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. Like Chris Jericho, Mysterio is also listed on WCW's page four.

4 British Bulldog

The British Bulldog

Davey Boy Smith started his career as one half of the British Bulldog alongside his cousin The Dynamite Kid. After the team fell apart, Smith adopted the British Bulldog for himself. Smith switched between wrestling for WWE and WCW in the '90s.

Smith rejoined WCW in 1997 but suffered knee and back injuries during 1998 that kept him out of the ring. Despite his injuries, the British Bulldog was released from his WCW contract later the same year. Smith's last match in WCW came a week before the game was released, and his next in-ring appearance would be back in WWE.

3 Kidman

Billy Kidman is one of the best Cruiserweight wrestlers that competed for WCW and WWE from the mid-'90s to the mid-2000s. Kidman won the WCW Cruiserweight title three time and the WWE Cruiserweight title four times during his stints with the promotion.

Kidman appeared on the WCW/NWO: Revenge roster as a part of Raven's Flock stable. The faction was disbanded a month before the game was released in America at Fall Brawl 1998.

2 Chavo Guerrero Jr

Chavo Guerrero Jr is a third-generation member of the Guerrero wrestling family and the son of Chavo Classic, or Chavo Sr. Guerrero has wrestled for a variety of promotions from WCW, WWE, TNA, and Lucha Underground.

Guerrero was also a part of the Misfits in Action stable as Lieutenant Loco. Chavo was listed on the same roster page as Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio Jr, Dean Malenko, Psychosis, Juventud Guerrera, and Ultimo Dragon.

1 Eddy Guerrero

Eddy Guerrero, better known as Eddie Guerrero, wrestled in WCW for various times in the 1990s. During his time in WCW, Guerrero would win the Cruiserweight title twice and have a single reign with the United States title. Guerrero would also be the leader of the Latino World Order, a mockery of the NWO.

Guerrero would leave a few years after the release of WCW/NWO Revenge alongside Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn, and Chris Benoit. Guerrero wrestled for many years in WWE and reached the pinnacle of the promotion by becoming WWE Champion in 2004 after defeating Brock Lesnar.
