As the U.S. presidential election draws closer, major media outlets have attempted to contact current and former WWE employees, digging for dirt on Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump, according to Daily Wrestling News. As we know, Trump has made several appearances for the company.

Vince McMahon, who has demonstrated a friendship with Trump, has made the order that no one in the company is to talk to any media outlet about Trump. Several former talents have also approached Vince, asking what they should do, and he's told them the same thing.

It was recently revealed that Linda McMahon donated $6 million to the Rebuilding America Now super PAC that supports Trump's campaign. Vince and Linda also donated $5 million to the Donald J. Trump foundation from 2007 to 2009, the foundation's biggest donations ever received.

Trump is a WWE Hall of Famer in the celebrity wing. He has made several WrestleMania appearances, including a 'battle of the billionaires' angle with Vince. He was also part of a 2009 angle where he "bought" RAW.

Former WWE star and current TNA talent Maria Kanellis has spoken out about her time with Trump on Celebrity Apprentice. You can read all about that here.
