Survivor Series is now just over two weeks away, and it seems that WWE is already looking past the final dual brand event of the year.
The company has already announced that Dean Ambrose will face AJ Styles for the WWE Championship at TLC in a month's time, but Monday Night Raw's final pay-per-view of the year is on December 18th and the main event has been revealed prematurely.
The PPG Paints Arena will host the event in just under six weeks time and they have officially revealed that the main event of the night will see Kevin Owens defend his Universal Championship against Roman Reigns.
Their tweet read:
"JUST ANNOUNCED: Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship live at Roadblock: End of the Line on 12/18!"
This will mark the first time that Kevin Owens has defended the title against anyone except Seth Rollins. It has also been rumored that WWE may change this to make it a Title vs. Title match much like the John Cena vs. Seth Rollins match at SummerSlam in 2015.
This will also be the first time that Roman Reigns has been able to step into the main title picture since Battleground earlier this year after he failed WWE's Wellness Policy for the first time. It will be interesting to see how the WWE Universe react to Roman Reigns being lifted back up into the main event picture.
