Bayley has stopped wearing her title around her waist, and it might have a little more to do than a mere character tweak.

Even though Vince McMahon might not like to admit it, wrestling championships and titles are belts. Trophies designed to be worn around the holder's waist. That being said, some wrestlers choose not to wear a title around their midriff. There are any number of alternatives including over the shoulder, around the neck, and even in your mouth as demonstrated by Pete Dunne.

It's ultimately up to how a wrestler wants to wear the title should they ever win one. Some ways have managed to conjure up a little controversy. Roman Reigns, for example. When The Big Dog is a champion, he slings the title over his shoulder so it goes down his back. A few older wrestlers were outspoken about how they found that disrespectful.

While Reigns seemingly wasn't told that he had to switch his method up, one fan believes that Bayley might well have been, and we tend to agree with them. Since turning heel, Bayley has started to bring her title to the ring over her shoulder. Prior to that, she'd usually wear it around her waist. The aforementioned fan threw out a theory on Reddit as to why that might be.

As you can see from the post above, if Bayley were to wear the SmackDown Women's Championship around her waist, the letters AEW would run down her middle. That's thanks to the A and the E in her name being perfectly aligned on her new black and gold gear. Put the title on as it was intended and Bayley is adding a big old W to the bottom.

On the one hand, this sounds like a crazed theory that couldn't possibly be accurate. On the other hand, this is WWE we're talking about. McMahon hates any and all competition and would never dream of advertising a rival on his television, even if it is as subliminal as Bayley's gear and title inadvertently spelling out AEW. One thing's for sure, we'll be watching intently every time we see Bayley on screen to see how she is wearing her title from now on.
