It's becoming more and more apparent that WWE are potentially building to a first-ever all female Royal Rumble match. The company's women have staged any number of firsts over the past few years, and they are showing no sign of slowing down as they look to nail down a few more. Hell In A Cell, Money In The Bank, there's even talk of a women's Elimination Chamber being in the works. The Royal Rumble is the next target though. Just last week, WWE introduced the mainstream fans to five new females. Viewers of NXT will have already been familiar with the five ladies in question, and one of the reasons for the call-ups may be so that they have enough main roster women to stage a Royal Rumble. With so much talent to choose from though, who would be the best choice to win the landmark match?

5. Charlotte Flair

Perhaps the most obvious choice for a Royal Rumble win is Charlotte Flair. Even with the addition of Asuka to the main roster, the current SmackDown Women's Champion is the unrivaled alpha female in WWE right now. Therein lies a problem though. The whole point of a Royal Rumble match is so that a number one contender can be crowned for a World Championship match. Charlotte is currently already a champion. That means between now and the potential Royal Rumble in January she would have to lose that title. With The Riott Squad making Flair's life a living hell right now, perhaps it'll be Ruby who takes that championship away from her.

4. Ember Moon

The recent call-ups from NXT have left some people scratching their heads for a number of reasons. One of the main ones is why the five women, in particular, were chosen over some other names that are currently wrestling at Full Sail, the likes of Peyton Royce and Nikki Cross. Arguably the biggest name on the NXT women's roster right now is the brand's Women's Champion, Ember Moon. Ember finally managed to capture the title at NXT Takeover: WarGames after many failed attempts. Moon is something special, and to see her called up for the women's Royal Rumble so that she can win it would be a special and well deserved moment. Paige came to the main roster while she was still NXT Women's Champion, so why not Ember Moon too?

3. Paige

Speaking of Paige, WWE is clearly pretty high on the two-time Divas' Champion right now. It's great to see her back and refreshing that WWE is treating her so well considering how they could have reacted following her year and a half away from the ring. If her return with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville does signal the start of a build towards a women's Royal Rumble, then clearly, all three women will play a key role in the match. It's likely that the three of them will clean house and Paige's disciples will clear a path for their leader so that she can win the first ever female Rumble.

2. Sonya Deville or Mandy Rose

Paige's two recruits have been included in the same entry for the purposes of this list since after just two appearances on Monday Night Raw it's impossible to tell which one of them is going to be the break out star, if any. It is safe to assume however that they will remain loyal to their current leader for quite a while yet. In fact, the first possible juncture to split Absolution would be during a women's Royal Rumble in two months time. Instead of the two of them helping Paige win the marquee match if it were to happen, perhaps one of them will instead take it upon themselves to go for the glory and throw their fearless leader over the top rope.

1. Asuka

If WWE really want to make a statement not only with a potential first female Royal Rumble but also with Asuka, The Empress of Tomorrow is the only real candidate to win the match. Some fans were uneasy with the treatment of Asuka when she first arrived on Raw, but WWE went a long way towards remedying that by making her the sole survivor for Team Raw at Survivor Series. You would have to imagine that sooner or later Asuka is going to wind up becoming the Raw Women's Champion. What better way to do that than have her win the first ever women's Royal Rumble match and achieve that crowning moment at WrestleMania 34? Paige and the rest of Absolution could easily keep The Empress busy between now and then.
