In February 2019, WWE debuted the Women's Tag Team Championship. They did so with an incredible Elimination Chamber match at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. Six tandems participated to crown the first champions and since then, the titles have remained a staple of the company. The best thing about it is that they can be defended across all three brands.

That has allowed a variety of challengers to take part in the division. Women from Raw, Smackdown, and NXT have all been given opportunities to win the titles. Some of the teams listed here have only competed for the championship once but they're still part of its history.

10 The Samoan Slaughterhouse

Fans may not remember clearly but the powerful duo of Nia Jax and Tamina Snuka played a major part in the early stages of this championship. The two competed in the inaugural Elimination Chamber match to determine the first champions.

They also were the first team to get a solo shot at the titles, which happened at Fastlane 2019. The Samoan Slaughterhouse was unsuccessful in their attempt. Following the failure, they only tagged again in another losing effort at WrestleMania and that's it.

9 The Divas Of Doom

Beth Phoenix and Natalya were a team way before the days of these titles. They did so during the "divas" era, back when Phoenix was in her prime and Natalya was only a few years into her run with the company.

The two joined forces again when Phoenix returned ahead of WrestleMania 35. The Divas of Doom came out on that night and honored The Hart Foundation by wearing jackets and doing offense reminiscent of what Natalya's dad Jim used to in his heyday. They came close to winning the gold at WrestleMania but had it taken away at the last minute.

8 The Riott Squad

For a few years, The Riott Squad was one of the most consistent groups in all of WWE. While Ruby Riott typically handled the singles action, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan got the chance to shine as a tag team. They first beat Dana Brooke and Natalya to qualify for the Elimination Chamber match.

Once there, an argument could be made that Morgan and Logan were a highlight. Morgan took some huge bumps and Logan showed off her strength. Alas, the trio would split due to the Superstar Shakeup, meaning their time as a team during the division's era was short.

7 Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair

The only reason these two don't rank higher is that they barely tagged and were pretty reluctant about it most of the time. The real-life best friends are two of the most accomplished females to ever step foot in a WWE ring. They're also great rivals for one another.

Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair faced duos like Trish Stratus and Natalya, and Sasha Banks and Bayley. However, their biggest rivals were The Kabuki Warriors. Lynch and Flair faced them at TLC 2019, though they came up short. It marked a historic moment as the Women's Tag Team Titles were given the main event slot for the first time.

6 Team #FlyKicks

To be fair, Team #FlyKicks only had one shot at the Women's Tag Team Titles. Even more surprising is that they rank this high despite only teaming up on television a few times. Dakota Kai and Tegan Nox have seen their young WWE careers hampered by unfortunate injuries.

They impressively beat Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke to earn a rare title shot on an episode of NXT. That match, which came against The Kabuki Warriors, was one of the better in the history of the championship. It lasted nearly 25 minutes before the Kabuki Warriors retained. The chemistry of Kai and Nox will always be outstanding, even as rivals.

5 Fire & Desire

Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville

Similar to Team #FlyKicks, this is another tandem that has since broken up. Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose were pretty phenomenal as a duo, though. Their real-life friendship only helped their in-ring skills as a unit.

Fire and Desire had a few cracks at the title. One came during a fatal-four-way bout on Raw and another came at Clash of Champions 2019. Though they never captured the belts, their high point was in the original Elimination Chamber. Rose and Deville began the match and lasted over 30 minutes, ending up as the final team eliminated.

4 The IIconics

When the Women's Tag Team Titles were announced, no team seemed like a better fit for them than The IIconics. Billie Kay and Peyton Royce are another tandem that saw their true friendship translate over to their characters. However, nobody has arguably done it better.

The IIconics had a strong showing in the Elimination Chamber before shocking the world by winning the titles on the biggest stage possible at WrestleMania 35. They would hold the titles for 120 entertaining days and score a match on the SummerSlam card. The biggest issue with their reign was that they often suffered non-title losses.

3 Bliss Cross Applesauce

Technically, Bliss Cross Applesauce isn't the official name for the team of Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross. Alexa once name-dropped it during a backstage segment with her partner and it stuck with several fans. At first, it seemed like the typically villainous Bliss was just using naive Cross and would turn on her.

The two have actually bonded and become a weekly highlight thanks to their pure friendship. Bliss and Cross won the titles on an episode of Raw and held them for two months. They would remain a team and make history at WrestleMania 36 by becoming the first-ever two-time champions.

2 The Boss 'n' Hug Connection

Once again, it's a case of friends becoming a great team. Sasha Banks and Bayley set the world on fire with their epic feud in NXT. On the main roster, they've been known more as a tag team. The friends were the first team to win the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles, surviving an amazing 33-minute Elimination Chamber.

Sadly, they didn't get the chance to deliver a great run as champions. After just 49 days, they dropped the gold at WrestleMania 35. Banks left for a few months but by the end of 2019, she had returned and brought Bayley over to the heel side of things with her. Recently, the duo regained the titles on Smackdown, making Bayley a double champion as she also held the Smackdown Women's Champion.

1 The Kabuki Warriors

They may not have multiple reigns but The Kabuki Warriors were the top team of the era. They debuted when Kairi Sane got called up. She was paired with Asuka and they had Paige acting as their manager.

It was without Paige that they found success, though. Asuka and Sane won the titles at Hell in a Cell and held them for 180 days, the longest of any team so far. During their reign, they beat Lacey Evans and Natalya, Team #FlyKicks, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, Bliss Cross Applesauce, The Boss 'n' Hug Connection, and headlined a PPV.
