Jinder Mahal has established himself as one of the WWE's top heels - thanks in large part to his brash trash-talking, arrogance and microphone skills. Of course, The Modern Day Maharajah has learned that if you're going to talk the talk, you also have to walk the walk.
Though Mahal received a major push that saw him win WWE Championship and headline multiple pay-per-view shows, he's also had quite a few shortcomings in his career. Xavier Woods had a field day on Twitter, trolling the now-former WWE Champion:
For those who aren't sure, that was a 2014 match between the two stars in an episode of WWE Superstars - well before Woods and Mahal became the household names we all know today.
Mahal and Woods are set to clash in the United States Championship bracket. The winner will advance to the finals, to face the winner of Bobby Roode vs. Mojo Rawley. As you may recall, Dolph Ziggler recently captured the championship but relinquished it and walked out - in storyline.
Woods will be looking to win his first championship in singles competition. He won two Raw Tag Team Championships and one SmackDown Tag Team title, both with members of The New Day. As for Mahal, he'll be looking to win his first United States Championship.
We'll see if a rivalry forms between The New Day and Mahal with the Singh Brothers after this match. The two superstars haven't had much of a history together since being on the main roster.
On the Feb. 27 episode of Monday Night Raw, Mahal and Rusev were in a tag team match against The New Day - which was a winning effort for Woods' squad. Mahal and Rusev's friendship ended soon after.
The match between Woods and Mahal has yet to take place. But the score is really 1-0 for Woods, until/unless Mahal can fire back with a counter shot on Twitter.
