WrestleMania 34 is quickly approaching and it is going to be one of the most anticipated shows in WWE history. It seems that the momentum of WrestleMania grows every single year with interest being stronger than ever. WWE has been planning matches and storylines for the big show since WrestleMania 33 earlier this year. Some of their plans are still in motion as they have never steered away from it. Other matches hoped to take place on WrestleMania 34 has since been canceled due to variables changing plans. We will try to forecast the entire card for the show coming in early April.
The WWE Network replacing PPV providers has given WWE more control over the show length. WrestleMania now features a 2 hour pre-show with matches taking place in front of the massive crowd. The live PPV goes 4-5 hours making it the longest show of the year. This gives opportunities to many wrestlers in the company that work hard all year to earn a spot on the show. We believe there will be fifteen matches on the show next year. Every match will be guessed based off rumors, speculation and educated guesses. WrestleMania 34’s entire card will be projected here.
15 Enzo Amore vs. Hideo Itami (Cruiserweight Championship)
The Cruiserweight Division is still a project in the works as WWE tries to establish it as an exciting brand. Enzo Amore joining the Cruiserweights added a popular main roster performer to the division of relatively unknown wrestlers. Vince McMahon is reportedly the one booking 205 Live and all of the storylines in the Cruiserweight Division right now. This means Enzo will be in the title picture for a long time.
14 Andre The Giant Memorial Winner: Big Show
The Andre the Giant Battle Royal is a great idea to get everyone on the show. Unfortunately, the match was quite disappointing this year due to Mojo Rawley winning. Rawley is barely on television these days as an afterthought in the Tag Team Division with partner Zack Ryder. WWE needs to find a way to add a memorable moment for the winner next year.
13 Bobby Roode vs. Jinder Mahal (United States Championship)
The United States Championship is currently on Baron Corbin, but his title reign has little to no momentum. Corbin is not going to have a long title reign unless something changes. Bobby Roode and Jinder Mahal are two better choices for the title. Roode is still shortly into his main roster career after coming up from NXT and is beloved for his entrance.
12 Sheamus and Cesaro vs. Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman (Raw Tag Team Championship)
There are not many tag teams thriving on the Raw brand right now. Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows are a comedy tag team. The Revival has yet to get any momentum due to injuries to both partners slowing them down. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins are great together but don’t appear to be a long term plan for the tag team title picture. Jeff Hardy is expected to be out until May 2018.
11 Baron Corbin vs. Randy Orton
Randy Orton is in a weird spot on the WWE roster right now. There’s no doubt he is one of the most successful wrestlers in WWE history, but fans don’t really view him as a legend or attraction. Orton just doesn’t possess the same star power of John Cena, Brock Lesnar or Triple H. That will place him in another lackluster WrestleMania match similar to prior years.
10 Alexa Bliss vs. Asuka (Raw Women's Championship)
The Raw Women’s Division could create a combination of many interesting title matches. Alexa Bliss has been a dominant Raw Women’s Champion for the majority of her time on the brand destroying Sasha Banks, Bayley and Mickie James. As talented as Bliss is, WWE has gone well out of their way to make her a dominant champion. That has to be for the reason of setting up the right challenger to dethrone.
9 Carmella vs. Naomi vs. Natalya vs. Tamina (Smackdown Women's Championship)
The set-up of the SmackDown Women’s Division will likely give us another multi-women match between the ladies on the show. Carmella is rumored to cash in her Money in the Bank title shot to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship before WrestleMania 34. We are most likely going to see Carmella enter the show holding the title and defending it against the other women on the roster.
8 Finn Balor vs. The Miz (Intercontinental Championship)
Raw’s Universal Championship picture being dominated by a year-long plan has ruined the chances of Finn Balor getting his rematch. Balor has never been able to challenge for the title he never lost after being stripped due to injury. WWE will have to find a singles program for Balor to ensure he gets focused at WrestleMania 34, likely with the Demon face paint.
7 Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn vs. New Day vs. The Usos: Ladder Match (Smackdown Tag Team Championship)
WWE loves to add a Ladder Match to round out WrestleMania cards. The spectacle of the Ladder Match adds a surefire great match that will have fans talking about the show. WrestleMania 33 featured the return of the Hardys in a Raw tag team Ladder Match. SmackDown has passed Raw when it comes to having the better Tag Team Division at this point.
6 Four Horsewomen vs. Four Horsewomen
One match that has been rumored for months would see former UFC Superstar Ronda Rousey make her professional wrestling debut. Rousey, Marina Shafir, Shayna Baszler and Jessamyn Duke go by the nickname of the “Four Horsewomen” due to their friendship going back to their early days in UFC. All four ladies have passions for WWE. Baszler is already working for the company and Rousey is someone WWE has always wanted to work with.
5 Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose
The reunion between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose has only benefited both men during the second half of 2017. Ambrose was struggling badly falling way behind his two former Shield brothers. The tag team with Rollins reminded fans how much they used to enjoy Ambrose. Rollins was also in limbo since he was not going to get a Universal Championship title shot any time soon.
4 Kurt Angle vs. Triple H
The intense stare down between Kurt Angle and Triple H on a recent episode of Raw was done to help set up their match at WrestleMania 34. Triple H replacing Kurt’s kayfabe son Jason Jordan on the Raw Survivor Series team was harsh enough, but he hit Jordan with a Pedigree right in front of Angle. We have already seen the tension start between Angle and Stephanie McMahon when it comes to running Raw.
3 John Cena vs. Samoa Joe
One of the biggest mysteries heading into WrestleMania 34 is trying to figure out who John Cena will wrestle. Cena is a part-timer these days and that only makes his big matches more important than ever. The prior rumor was that Cena would challenge Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. However, Mahal losing the title and Cena being removed from a referee role in Jinder’s match at Survivor Series ended those rumors.
2 A.J. Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE Championship)
The title plans for the WWE Championship has completely changed following the shocking match of A.J. Styles defeating Jinder Mahal to win it. Styles is clearly the face of Smackdown and the most popular wrestler on the brand at this point. It would be a decent bet to have Styles heading into WrestleMania 34 as the WWE Champion.
1 Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar (Universal Championship)
Vince McMahon has remained adamant since WrestleMania 33 that he wants Roman Reigns to face Brock Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania 34. Lesnar has held the Universal Championship since defeating Goldberg with no plans to lose it before the big show next year. Reigns has yet to get a singles title shot as it has been elaborately saved.
The vision of McMahon would have Reigns dethrone Lesnar to have yet another shining moment to close a WrestleMania. Both men faced off at WrestleMania 31 without a winner when Seth Rollins cashed in. WWE has saved this singles match until now as it will main event WrestleMania 34. Another title reign of Roman will start as he is further confirmed to be “the guy” when defeating Lesnar for the Universal Championship in New Orleans.
