The women's revolution is, by many, considered to be one of the most important events in the recent history of professional wrestling.

Female wrestlers from all around the world have been given the chance to shine ever since the term was first coined, and while some question when exactly this moment happened, we'd argue that it doubles up in two ways: Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks & Charlotte Flair debuting on WWE television, and Sasha Banks vs Bayley stealing the show in Brooklyn.

Today, we're going to run through the 10 women's matches from WrestleMania 32 onwards and figure out which is the best of the best.

P.S: Full respect to Paige and AJ Lee for their contributions, and no, we aren't counting Rousey & Angle vs Triple H & Stephanie because that was a mixed tag.

10 Women’s Battle Royal - WrestleMania 35

As far as sequels go, this one didn’t quite land as well as people had probably anticipated it would.

In the second annual WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal, we saw a pretty random figure of 17 competitors fighting for the most generic trophy, or reward, in professional wrestling.

Carmella won the match which was a nice rub for her, but she did so by using the very same tactics that were used one year prior. It’s just lazy, and we think it might be a good thing that the Battle Royal isn’t coming back this time around.

9 Women’s Battle Royal - WrestleMania 34

The first-ever Women’s Battle Royal had some pretty high expectations attached to it, if only because it gave a whole host of fringe stars the chance to really make a name for themselves on the Grandest Stage of Them All. A few did, but at the end of the day, a match’s lasting legacy comes from how it ends – more often than not. Naomi was a decent enough choice to win it, but it kind of came out of nowhere.

If nothing else, they wasted a huge opportunity they had to really build something between Bayley and Sasha Banks.

8 Team Total Divas Vs Team B.A.D. & Blonde - WrestleMania 32

We often see a great deal of criticism for the stars of Total Divas, even though some really notable names have been featured on the show since it first hit our screens.

This pre-show match was, in our eyes, harmless. From Lana’s long-awaited in-ring debut to Nikki Bella coming down at the end of the match, this was a fun tag match with every single girl going out there and trying to make a name for themselves.

It wasn’t a classic, but nobody was expecting it to be, were they?

7 SD Women’s Championship Six-Pack Challenge - WrestleMania 33

One of the biggest issues with this match was time. A match can live or die based on just how long the competitors are given to shine, and that’s especially true at the Show of Shows.

Because there wasn’t much of an opportunity for things to flow between all six wrestlers, it felt a bit clustered. Individually speaking we saw some really great moments, but unless you were there live in the stadium, there’s a decent chance you didn’t quite catch them all.

Naomi’s win was a great moment, though.

6 Fatal-Four Way Women’s Tag Team Match - WrestleMania 35

Four teams went to war and the cowardly heels came out on top – and while that may be great storytelling, this match also suffered from the ‘too much going on’ curse.

The IIconics were clearly overwhelmed by the win and if you’d just seen that moment alone, you’d think it was a great match.

Alas, it just seemed as if they were attempting to cram too much in, and the fans were far too invested in the idea of Bayley and Banks getting their big moment to care about anyone else.

5 Bayley Vs Charlotte Flair Vs Sasha Banks Vs Nia Jax - WrestleMania 33

As far as fatal-four-ways go, this one was pretty fun – for the first 5-10 minutes or so.

The build-up to Nia Jax being eliminated was great, the entrances made all four feel like stars, and it was good to see Bayley be the one to come out on top.

Alas, when Sasha Banks was eliminated from the equation, the structure of the bout fell off a cliff. The crowd didn’t seem to appreciate the sudden nature of what happened from that point on, with Bayley’s win only really glossing over that for a short period of time.

4 Nia Jax Vs Alexa Bliss - WrestleMania 34

The best thing about this match was the story. Even though the David vs Goliath stereotype would indicate that Bliss should be the underdog, WWE did a great job of reversing those fortunes.

Bliss was the one doing all of the bullying, whereas Jax was the real victim. It was a standard babyface vs heel story of the world wanting to see Jax finally get her hands on her mortal enemy.

It was a dominant display with Alexa having a few moments of joy, and that’s exactly what it needed to be.

3 Becky Lynch Vs Ronda Rousey Vs Charlotte Flair - WrestleMania 35

The first-ever women’s WrestleMania main event probably should’ve topped this list, but the end product didn’t really live up to the expectations we had in our head. That’s probably because so many people were thinking that we’d see a definitive end to this feud. Instead, the bizarre ending felt as if it may have been slightly botched.

Regardless of whether it was or wasn’t, it was still fun enough if you try and take the crowd out of it – and nothing will ever change the achievement of these three women.

2 Charlotte Flair Vs Asuka - WrestleMania 34

It was dubbed one of the best women’s matches in WWE history, and we tend to agree.

The unstoppable Asuka went toe-to-toe with Flair, and the two put on a real show in New Orleans. You could make the argument that this served as the pinnacle of Charlotte’s career, with everything from her entrance to the finished product making her look like a complete and utter star.

The result left a real bad taste in the mouths of many fans, with the hope and belief being that Asuka would finally become the main event star we’d all been hoping for.

1 Charlotte Flair Vs Sasha Banks Vs Becky Lynch - WrestleMania 32

Sometimes the original is great and sometimes it doesn’t quite live up to the hype.

Back at WrestleMania 32, with the WWE Women’s Championship on the line, these three women went out there and left it all in the ring. Sasha came down to the ring with Snoop Dogg, Becky was made to look like their equal, and Charlotte was always going to be the overwhelming favorite.

Stealing the show can be pretty tricky at an event like WrestleMania, but in the ‘biggest’ Mania of all time, they managed to do just that.
