WrestleMania 30 was an iconic show for WWE due to it being an anniversary event for the company, and a lot of effort was placed on it. From top to bottom, the show was stacked with big names, with the show even beginning with a promo segment featuring Hulk Hogan, The Rock, and Steve Austin.

It's certainly one of the most memorable WrestleManias too, with this being the night that The Undertaker's undefeated streak was ended and Daniel Bryan finally achieved his position at the top of the mountain. But on reflection when looking at the actual match-quality itself, what was the best match of the night?

8 The Shield vs. Kane & The New Age Outlaws

Shield v Kane and New Age Outlaws

This was a very basic six-man tag team match that didn't even get three minutes on the card. It was a case of three legends putting over three future stars, and The Shield were as dominant as they could possibly be here.

As soon as the bell rang they were in charge, and the match never got to a point where it felt competitive, which is why it's not one of the strongest matches on this show. However, it worked well to put over the trio, which was the intention.

7 Vickie Guerrero Invitational Match

Vickie Guerrero Invitational Cropped

The only women's match on this show saw AJ Lee defend her Divas Championship against every member of the Women's Division at that time. Because of that, this was never going to be an in-ring classic with 14 different people in the ring at the same time.

It was quite a rushed match that lacked in any real story, simply going from spot to spot until AJ was able to defend the title. Some of the moments were entertaining within the match, but the match wasn't a classic by any means.

6 The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar

This might be one of the most well-known WrestleMania matches of all time, but it wasn't a world-class match by any stretch. These two men have wrestled plenty of times, but this was the worst of their matches despite the historic result that occurred.

Brock Lesnar dominated most of this one, and it is now known that Undertaker did get injured during the match itself, which likely impacted the quality. It was very slow-paced throughout, however, the result itself created a shocking moment that nobody saw coming.

5 Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Cesaro Wins Andre Royal

While this match has since gone on to become a moment to fit everyone on the card on the pre-show, this was the first time that it ever took place. WWE put a lot of effort into this match, with Big Show and Cesaro being the real stand-out stars in this one.

Show dominated the match, linking it to his parallel to Andre, but it ended up being Cesaro's moment in the spotlight as he eliminated him to stand out and win it. The match had some big stars and when the field was cut down the match really got going, which made it one of WWE's better battle royals.

4 The Usos vs. Los Matadores vs. Rybaxel vs. The Real Americans

This match ended up on the pre-show, but it was a fantastic one, making it one of WWE's best pre-show matches to date. From the start, this match delivered on high energy, with fast-paced action that brought out the best in everyone.

There were some fantastic near falls, great double-team action, and every team got their moment. It was a tough match to call, which is always a good thing, and the fun ending of The Usos going into a frenzy to win it all was a great moment.

3 John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt

This match isn't a technical masterpiece, but it tells a brilliant story and has some strong near falls which the crowd loved. Bray Wyatt was all about mind games in this one, trying to convince Cena to embrace his dark side and attack him, which was a unique story for a match.

Wyatt was aggressive at times and when they picked up the pace, they had very good chemistry together. Cena always delivers on the big stage with his usual style, and seeing him fight up against evil is an angle he knows to do very well, as he showed here in an entertaining encounter.

2 Randy Orton vs. Batista vs. Daniel Bryan

Triple threat matches aren't the easiest thing to execute, but at WrestleMania 30 these three did a great job. It was an amazing main event to cap off the show, with each talent having a unique style, and everyone getting their time to shine.

Randy Orton and Batista spent moments working together as heels and, at one point, it seemed like Bryan was written out of the match with the RKO/Batista Bomb through the announce table. They got fans emotionally invested with some terrific near falls, but Bryan finally getting his moment in the end provided an amazing finish to the show.

1 Triple H vs. Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan Triple H

While the main event of the match was great, and it was obviously an amazing moment, but it was the opening bout that was the best of the night. Triple H and Daniel Bryan were part of the big storyline heading into this show, and they kicked off the event with a tremendous match.

It was hard-hitting with Triple H dominating with his power, while Bryan showcased his technical ability. With the stakes of his WrestleMania main event spot on the line, fans were emotionally invested with Bryan, and Stephanie McMahon also added to this one on the outside. It was a well-crafted match that became one of the best opening matches in WrestleMania history.
