There is nothing worse in wrestling than being buried, as this typically brings an end to the careers of wrestlers in any serious capacity. As soon as a wrestler becomes a jobber, or is totally buried by poor creative, fans instantly begin to lose interest, which normally results in the downhill spiral of people's careers.

However, while some wrestlers have never been able to get back to where they were after being buried, others have been able to thrive. Some have used it as fire to fight back and return to their very best, getting to the same point as before, showcasing why they're so good in the first place.

9 Juice Robinson

Juice Robinson

In WWE, Juice Robinson worked under the name of CJ Parker, and he was buried throughout his entire run. In NXT he was booked dreadfully, simply being around to put over other wrestlers.

However, he didn't let that determine his wrestling career. Instead, Robinson headed to New Japan and became a top star within the company, using his natural charisma to really push himself to the top as one of the most exciting stars for the future, as opposed to staying a jobber.

8 Rusev

Rusev WWE

Rusev is another incredibly talented wrestler that WWE seemingly had no idea what to do with, instead just opting to bury him. His dreadful love-triangle storyline with Dolph Ziggler and Lana, and then his League Of Nations run could've been the nail in the coffin for him.

However, Rusev was incredibly over with the fans who saw his natural talent. As a result of that, he was able to get his career back on track with the brilliant Rusev Day tag team run alongside Aiden English, which is when WWE should've really committed to a major push for him.

7 FTR

When they worked in WWE, The Revival should have been the top tag team in the entire company, just as they had been in NXT. Initially, they were booked fairly well, but it didn't take too long for WWE to treat them incredibly poorly, with the duo being buried consistently. While they won championships, their characters were treated poorly, making it hard to take them seriously.

However, their talent wouldn't be denied as they moved on to AEW and quickly got back to their very best. FTR has since put on classic tag team bouts once again, thriving and showcasing just how good they are.

6 Drew McIntyre

McIntyre

The current WWE Champion is an excellent example of how fans should never write someone off. Despite being pushed early on in his career, things spiralled out of control for Drew McIntyre, as he truly hit rock bottom.

He was buried by the company, constantly losing matches, and he was eventually fired. However, McIntyre didn't give up and instead, he went away and proved just how good he could, eventually coming back to become WWE Champion in the main event of WrestleMania 36.

5 Jinder Mahal

Just like his former 3MB stablemate, Jinder Mahal was also buried during his time in the faction. He was made to dance around and rock out with imaginary instruments. Even prior to that, he had never been taken seriously.

However, Mahal got himself into unbelievable shape and from there he was treated like a different person. Mahal was pushed once again, becoming a top star within WWE, as he won the WWE Championship and dominated the main event scene.

4 Apollo Crews

Apollo Crews felt like a forgotten man in WWE until 2020 rolled around. He was someone who really benefited from the pandemic-era of wrestling, getting an opportunity to shine; which he absolutely took with both hands.

Apollo went on to become United States Champion and since then, he hasn't looked back. While he's not gone on to become a World Champion or main event star, he has still had a much better career, getting himself out of the rut he was in. His recent heel turn also oozes tons of potential.

3 Dusty Rhodes

Dusty Rhodes

Everyone knows and loves Dusty Rhodes, as he is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. People often associate the yellow and black polka dots with Dusty, but initially, that was lumped onto him to bury him.

Vince McMahon clearly wasn't a fan of Dusty and opted to have him be a singing and dancing babyface. However, what he didn't prepare for was just how charismatic Dusty was, which is why he thrived anyway. Dusty managed to take what was meant to ruin his career, and turned it into absolute gold.

2 Booker T

Booker T

When Booker T first joined WWE, he wasn't treated as a major star by the company. They gave him an initial push, seemingly to only put him down, with his infamous storyline with Triple H being a complete disaster for Booker.

However, his talent and personality eventually came out on top. He would go on to enjoy being a true main event star in WWE, with his King Booker gimmick being one of the best heel runs of his era.

1 Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan

During the first season of the original NXT, Daniel Bryan was treated terribly. He was made to look like a fool, being eliminated first, as Michael Cole did everything in his power to make it clear that Bryan was not a star on commentary.

Despite the fact that he was the most talented of the lot, WWE tried its best to bury him. This continued during his run, with WWE constantly trying to claim he was boring, or a B+ player. However, all this did was create one of the greatest underdog babyfaces of all time instead.
