WWE went on a releasing spree on Sunday night and wrestlers within and away from the company have been reacting and wishing them luck.

WWE releasing Superstars in batches with no prior warning used to be an annual event. It hasn't been so much recently which is why it came as such a surprise when it happened this past Sunday. The first announcement was the release of Sin Cara, which was closely followed by Luke Harper, then WWE ended by letting go of The Ascension.

Both Sin Cara and Harper requested their releases earlier this year. The Ascension might have done so too but just not gone public with it. Fans are now speculating about what might be next for the four former WWE Superstars. Chances are AEW won't take all of them, but they would be silly to pick up Harper.

The former Wyatt Family member will clearly be missed by some of the Superstars in the locker room he is leaving behind. As news of his release broke, Mustafa Ali thanked Harper for saving him from what might have been a broken neck. The accompanying gif shows Harper and Ali being booted from the ring to the floor with the former holding the latter in a vertical suplex position. Harper somehow manages to save Ali from falling on his head.

Rusev also bid farewell to Harper labeling him "one of the best". The Bulgarian Brute also thanked Konnor and Viktor, revealing that he has looked up to the tag team since they were in developmental together. Former WWE Superstar Ryback congratulated all four wrestlers citing that he is excited for their futures, adding that both members of The Ascension deserve more than they have been given in WWE.

It will certainly be interesting to see where all four of these wrestlers end up. We hope that all of them decide to stay in the business and as highlighted above, Harper's next move is the one we are most excited for. It can easily be argued that Harper is World Champion material and at one point it seemed as if he was destined to be in that mix in WWE. It never happened, but hopefully will happen elsewhere now he has been granted his release.
