205 Live Superstar Rich Swann has landed himself in some extremely hot water this week. Over the weekend, the former Cruiserweight Champion was arrested for assault and false imprisonment. Apparently, Swann was involved in an altercation with his wife during which he allegedly forced her back into their car after she had tried to escape when she thought that an argument they were having was at risk of becoming physical. Naturally, under the circumstances, WWE suspended Swann indefinitely, presumably pending the outcome of everything that has been going on in his private life right now. Swann was due to take on Drew Gulak this week to determine the number one contender to Enzo Amore's Cruiserweight Championship, so who would be the best person to replace Swann in that match following his suspension?

The 205 Live roster is effectively split in half right now. Enzo Amore has his group of heels known as The 'Zo Train while there are a group of faces that oppose them. Rich Swann was the man from that latter group that was one step away from getting the chance to knock off Amore's crown, but arguably the man that deserves that chance is Cedric Alexander. We've seen a number of stars spotlighted since 205 Live began a little over a year ago, but for some reason, Cedric is yet to be given the reigns. Alexander is a terrific in-ring performer and also has a great personality that is waiting to be given more attention. Here's hoping he replaces Swann this week.
Oney Lorcan has been on 205 Live once before. Back in April, the NXT star fought in a losing effort against Rich Swann. It seemed like that would be the beginning of Lorcan on WWE's purple brand, at least on a part-time basis as he split his time between there and Full Sail, but he has been absent from the cruiserweight division ever since. At a point this year, it seemed that WWE was doing something with Lorcan and British star Danny Burch. They wrestled each other a few times then formed a tag team. However, that angle seems to have fizzled out now, and it has been a while since Lorcan has wrestled on NXT. He's a hit with the fans, so who better to take on Drew Gulak this week for a shot at the Cruiserweight Title?
Oney Lorcan isn't the only Superstar who has made a cameo appearance on 205 Live never to return. More recently, on WWE's latest UK tour, some of the wrestlers from the company's new British division invaded the Tuesday night show. United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne naturally stole most of the limelight, however, he probably wouldn't be the best choice to take on Drew Gulak this week. Instead, that honor should fall to the inaugural UK Champion, Tyler Bate. The 20-year-old has such a long career ahead of him which is likely why WWE isn't rushing when it comes to pushing him. Having him wrestle Gulak this week though would be a great way to have fans get a little bit more acquainted with Bate without including him on a full-time schedule.

Neville has been absent from WWE television for quite a while now. The situation surrounding him is still a little shrouded in mystery but apparently, the Brit walked out of Raw due to creative differences. Over the past week or two, there have been conflicting stories regarding where he and WWE are at when it comes to either his return or his release. If the two parties are in fact nearing a resolution that involves Neville returning to the ring then the number one contender match this week would be the perfect setting. Not only would the fans love to see Neville back, but it would also fit right in with the former champion's supposed hatred of Enzo Amore and also have him chasing to get back the title he lost.
Hideo Itami is on his way to 205 Live. Each week WWE are informing us that the Japanese star's main roster debut is 'coming soon'. What they have planned for Hideo as a part of their cruiserweight division is so far unclear though. What nobody will want to see is Itami go down the same path as Austin Aries and even Neville. 205 Live can sometimes feel like a downgrade to certain Superstars in regard to where they believe they should be on the card. That could definitely happen to Itami. The best way to try and counteract that would be to shoot him straight to the top. Have him become number one contender this week and immediately go after Enzo Amore and the Cruiserweight Championship.
