Total Divas has brought a number of wrestling couples to the attention of the WWE Universe. Even though there are many well-known stars who are in relationships with fellow wrestlers, there is still a huge portion of WWE couples who are keeping their relationship under wraps. Not every couple can be pushed as a power couple like The Miz and Maryse, Nikki Bella and John Cena and even Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. This could be why there are a huge number of wrestling couples who have stayed under WWE's radar. They may be popular, but they prefer to keep their private life just that: private!

Over the past few years, WWE has signed a lot of talent from all over the Independent Circuit. Many of these superstars were in relationships with fellow wrestlers who are still performing on the circuit to this day and could be heading to WWE in the near future. Soon WWE will only be populated by wrestling couples since there are now around 30 different couples who are either part of the company or in a relationship with someone who has the potential to be signed by WWE in the future.

The following list looks at just 15 couples that the company doesn't want to promote even though many of them are both part of WWE, but kept on opposite rosters and still able to make their relationship work.

15 Zack Ryder And Chelsea Green

Zack Ryder is a former Intercontinental Champion in WWE and was once linked with former WWE star Emma. The couple decided to go their separate ways sometime before the beginning of 2017 and Ryder quickly moved on to a relationship with former Impact Wrestling star Chelsea Green, who started sharing images online together more than a year ago.

Chelsea was first seen on WWE TV as Daniel Bryan's physiotherapist Megan Miller as part of his storyline with The Authority back in 2014, before she was then one of the finalists on Tough Enough 2015, but none of these appearances were enough for her to turn WWE's head and after departing from Impact Wrestling a few weeks ago, Chelsea has returned to the Independent Circuit with rumours of a switch to WWE surrounding her at present.

Zelina Vega is the current business associate of NXT Champion Andrade "Cien" Almas on NXT TV. She is a former Impact Wrestling star and was even chosen to play the role of AJ Lee in Fighting With My Family, a film about fellow star Paige's family who are all part of the wrestling business.

During her time in Impact Wrestling, Vega met fellow superstar Austin Aries and admitted herself that the couple didn't get along at first and she wanted to punch him in the face. The duo later started dating and announced their engagement back in 2016, but despite rumours that the couple has gone their separate ways in recent months, the couple is still supporting each other throughout their careers and are still happily engaged even though they now work for different companies.

13 Bo Dallas And Sarah Backman

Another couple that met during their time together in NXT were former eight-time Arm Wrestling champion Sarah Backman and former NXT Champion Bo Dallas. Backman had a short stint in WWE, which should have been helped by her athletic background, but it wasn't something that she thought worked for her so she asked for her release back in April 2014.

Just a few months later she married her long-time boyfriend Bo Dallas, who is currently still part of the company and performs as part of The Miztourage alongside Curtis Axel. Backman was once featured on the Swedish version of Gladiators as "Spirit" before she was signed to WWE in 2013 but she's put that life behind her and has been working as a Real Estate Broker ever since she retired back in 2015.

Breeze met Audrey Marie while the couple were performing together in NXT, but she was released from her WWE contract in May 2013. Marie and Breeze continued their relationship despite her release and married in September 2016, Marie has since retired from the wrestling business but is still there to support her husband throughout his career with the company that she was once an employee of.

Athena teamed with fellow Independent star Matthew Palmer, who's best known for his work in Anarchy Championship Wrestling, a number of times throughout her career and the couple began dating at some point during this time.

It was during a wrestling event that Palmer finally popped the question to Ember when he got down on one knee in the middle of their match and the beautiful star accepted. Palmer continues to work on the Independent Circuit, but he's sure to be in the crowd cheering on his fiancee this weekend as she defends her NXT Women's Championship against Shayna Baszler at NXT Takeover: New Orleans.

Their daughter Piper was born in May 2017 and the couple then finally made it down the aisle back in December. Wesley has recently returned to NXT Live Events as part of a new tag team, which could be a great sign for his future with the company.

The star left NXT last year and has since moved on to work for a number of other promotions including Ring of Honor, which is where her boyfriend, Bullet Club member Marty Scrull currently plies his trade. The couple has been together now for a number of months and have started sharing a number of images together online, it seems that neither star has any pressing plans to head over to WWE.

Kassius Ohno (Or Chris Hero, as he was known during his Ring of Honor days) has always been a safe pair of hands in NXT and while he's been putting on some five-star matches in the developmental territory, he has been working alongside his girlfriend's father. Paul Ellering is a WWE Hall of Famer and the current manager of The Authors of Pain, but he is also the father of former NXT star Rachael Ellering.

Ellering was part of the Mae Young Classic last year under the name Rachael Evers and made a number of appearances on NXT, but she is another female wrestler that the company decided against signing despite her father's obvious big-name boost, so she is back to working on the Independent Circuit instead.

One couple that has been around for quite a few years is current Raw Tag Team Champion Cesaro and his girlfriend Performance Centre Coach Sara Del Rey. Before the couple began dating some time back in 2013, and it is thought that the fact that they had already crossed paths a number of times on the Independent Circuit helped them to bond, but working for the same company must make their relationship a lot easier.

Cesaro and Del Ray have always been protective of their personal life and during an interview last year, Sheamus briefly mentioned that Cesaro was now married. This has led to speculation that the couple has been able to marry in secret as well, but there has been no confirmation of this from the couple themselves.

The couple has since split, and Rose revealed in a recent interview that she is now in a relationship with NXT star Tino Sabbatelli. Alongside Riddick Moss, Sabbatelli has been making a name for himself in NXT over the past few months and following the break down of their team a few weeks ago, he could finally be the subject of a push on the developmental brand.

Bianca Belair was one of the stand out stars in the Mae Young Classic Tournament last summer and her unique upper body strength and use of her hair as a weapon has allowed WWE to mold her into a decent threat in the Women's Division on NXT.

Belair has been able to keep her personal life as private as possible over the past few years, but it was recently made public knowledge that the EST of NXT is engaged to Street Profits member Montez Ford. The couple has been dating for a number of years after meeting while they were on the Independent Circuit and are now ready to become the power couple of NXT as they slowly begin their takeover of both the Women's and Tag Team Divisions.
