Getting to the main event scene isn't an easy task in wrestling, but maintaining that level is even harder. There are only certain wrestlers such as The Undertaker who can stick at that point throughout their careers, with a lot of wrestlers often finding themselves dropping down the card as their careers progress.

There are plenty of main event stars who struggled to stick to that point, eventually dropping all the way down to wrapping up their time as jobbers. Eventually just putting over other wrestlers instead of being the stars themselves, some talents in wrestling have a true fall from grace before they hang up their boots.

10 Vladimir Kozlov

When Vladimir Kozlov was first brought into WWE, he came in as a dominant heel who was positioned as a monster in the company. He was somebody that fans were made to fear as he got the chance to mix it up with people like Triple H and Jeff Hardy. He was even thought to have been in consideration to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania, before the spot went to Shawn Michaels.

However, by the time his career was done, Kozlov had slipped all the way to the bottom of the card. He was very much on hand to put others over, becoming a comedic act in a tag team with Santino Marella.

9 Lord Tensai

Lord Tensai WWE

Lord Tensai is another wrestler that was brought in as a typical monster heel, which is a role that is often tough to maintain. He started out feuding with John Cena in the main event scene, but by the end of his run, he was a dancing comedy act.

Even prior to taking on the Lord Tensai gimmick, Matt Bloom was always in a good spot on the card. As Albert, he would be in a solid spot, but with this gimmick, he simply couldn't maintain a main event standard.

8 Ted DiBiase Jr

Ted DiBiase Jr

Ted DiBiase Jr is someone who WWE has a lot of hopes for early on, which is why he was initially thrown into the main event scene. Being able to work alongside Randy Orton, Ted was in plenty of main events, either on the outside or together with the Viper.

However, instead of kicking on and becoming one of the next top stars, Ted DiBiase Jr ended up slipping down the card. He would become just another member of the roster, and someone who wrapped up his time as a jobber.

7 The Great Khali

Great Khali Winning The World Heavyweight Championship

The Great Khali might now be a Hall Of Famer, but by the end of his career, he was certainly not working at that level. In fact, he was never much of an in-ring worker at all. Khali is a former World Champion, being pushed primarily due to his size. As a result of his imposing look, he got to be a main event guy right off the bat, working with The Undertaker primarily.

But he ended his career as someone who would dance around to entertain the fans or host the kiss cam segments. Despite his size and power, he would often be beaten regularly, as his role became all about putting others over as a jobber.

6 Sandman

Sandman Entrance

In ECW, Sandman was a top star and someone who would always be in and around the main event scene. However, his character didn't quite click in the same manner when he was in front of other audiences.

This is what saw him drop down the card, and that was clearest with how WWE booked him, which was primarily as a jobber to put over other stars, which is sadly how a lot of fans view him.

5 Kassius Ohno

Kassius Ohno

Whether Kassius Ohno is truly retired remains to be seen, but since his WWE release, he hasn't competed in the ring. Ohno is seen as one of the most talented wrestlers of his generation, and outside WWE he was a top main event talent.

Even when he first joined NXT, Ohno was showcased as a great threat, but that didn't stay. He eventually became a utility star who would just put over other wrestlers, typically the newest stars who joined the brand.

4 Yokozuna

Yokozuna WWE Champion

Yokozuna is one of the all-time great big men, and as a heavyweight, there are few that could even come close to what he could do. Yokozuna was able to headline WrestleMania two years in a rose, hold the WWE Championship, and feud with the very best of them.

Unfortunately as his weight gain became too much of a liability. WWE could no longer book him in such a high profile manner. Due to that, he sadly slipped down the card and ended up as someone who could be beaten with ease. He was eventually released from WWE in 1997.

3 Tatanka

When Tatanka was initially introduced, he was given a huge push and a massive undefeated streak, showcasing the fact WWE saw him as a top star. He became Intercontinental Champion and he competed in some major matches.

Even during his heel run with Ted DiBiase, Tatanka was still a big name. However, he returned to WWE on two separate occasions, and each time he slipped further down the card, sadly becoming a jobber.

2 King Kong Bundy

King Kong Bundy WWE

King Kong Bundy is someone who has been involved in major main event matches, including at WrestleMania II with Hulk Hogan. However, he wasn't able to maintain that spot throughout his career.

As time went on, Bundy ended up being pushed down the card. He was no longer seen in the same dominant manner, which was a shame, but his career wrapped up by putting over others on a frequent basis. He was eventually brought back by WWE for a brief run in the mid '90s but never earned any big wins, or stayed in the top of the card for long.

1 Hacksaw Jim Duggan

Hacksaw Jim Duggan

Hacksaw Jim Duggan is one of the most iconic professional wrestlers of all time, with his iconic catchphrase being one that all fans know. He was once a main event star, being the first-ever winner of the Royal Rumble as well.

However, he stuck around in wrestling for a long time, to the point where WWE had to move him down the card. He put over stars and ended up in a random team with Santino Marella towards the end of his career, which saw him work as a jobber.
