WWE has created something new for their Hall of Fame that allows them to put in a lot of well-deserved names that they don't want to bother wasting time promoting since they don't sell tickets for today's fans. This new wing is the Legacy branch, and this is how names like Bruiser Brody, Wahoo McDaniel, and Playboy Buddy Rose got in.

Expect more names to get into the WWE Hall of Fame from the '80s thanks to this branch, although many names (such as Brody) deserved more than just a passing mention. Sadly, if the name is not big enough to sell the special to fans today, WWE has no reason to care about older wrestlers, and since the '80s is now almost four decades in the past, many names deserve to get in that might have to settle for just that small mention.

10 DAVEY BOY SMITH

10 Deceased WCW Superstars Who Deserve To Be In WWE Hall Of Fame

If Davey Boy Smith had not died of a drug overdose, he would already be in the WWE Hall of Fame. The fact that Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake is now in the WWE Hall of Fame, but The British Bulldog is not is criminal.

Davey Boy Smith is a former two-time tag team champion, two-time European Champion, two-time Hardcore Champion, and a one-time Intercontinental Champion. He was part of one of the most popular tag teams of the '80s in the British Bulldogs and one of the '90s best stables in the Hart Foundation. He deserves to be in the WWE Hall of Fame on his own.

9 DYNAMITE KID

10 Best WWE Superstars Who Came From the UK, Ranked

Even if Davey Boy Smith never makes it into the WWE Hall of Fame on his own, The British Bulldogs deserve to be in the Hall as one of the most influential and popular tag teams in WWE in the '80s. The fact that Davey Boy Smith and Dynamite Kid are not in the hall as a tag team is one of the biggest omissions for the WWE Hall of Fame.

They are former tag team champions and one of the best WWE tag teams of all-time. As for Dynamite Kid, his backstage reputation might have played a role in keeping him out, but he deserves all the recognition in the world as one of the innovators of the cruiserweight style a decade before it became famous.

8 DEMOLITION

10 Former WWE Superstars Who Need To Make The WWE Hall Of Fame

Demolition is not in the WWE Hall of Fame for two big reasons, and neither have anything to do with their impact in WWE history. Ax and Smash were very outspoken parts of the massive concussion lawsuit filed against WWE by several former superstars. On top of that, they publicly said they want to get paid big time to accept the honor.

It is disappointing because the team once known as a Road Warriors' ripoff ended up as a hugely popular tag team in their own right. They were even the longest-reigning tag team champions in WWE history until New Day broke their record.

7 MIDNIGHT EXPRESS

The 10 Best WCW Tag Teams to Never Win The WWE Tag Titles

There is no reason that the Midnight Express is not in the WWE Hall of Fame. Sure, they never wrestled in WWE, but neither did Harlem Heat, and the Rock 'N Roll Express were only there for a very short time. However, if it weren't for the Midnight Express, the Rock 'N Roll Express wouldn't have been as great as they were.

Jim Cornette was one of the best managers in history when he led Beautiful Bobby and Loverboy Dennis into action. When Sweet Stan replaced Dennis, the team was even better than before. Combined, the various iterations of the Midnight Express won more than 65 tag team titles.

6 RICK MARTEL

Top 10 AWA stars who made it big in WWE, ranked

In the '80s, everyone talked about the world champions and predicted who would beat who if they ever fought. The at the boom of WWE's Rock 'n' Wrestling Connection were Hulk Hogan in WWE, Ric Flair in NWA, and Rick Martel in AWA.

No one really talks about Rick Martel anymore. He lost his world title and signed with WWE. They ignored his great world title experience and instead made him a tag team wrestler and then a model who used a perfume sprayer to cheat. Despite this, his history deserves a WWE Hall of Fame induction, and he is still waiting.

5 LEX LUGER

10 Rivalries That Defined Goldberg’s Career

Lex Luger will likely never get into the WWE Hall of Fame until he is much older and there is a reason for that. Luger screwed over Vince McMahon. WWE brought him in to be a replacement for Hulk Hogan, but he never got over like they thought he would.

WWE moved Luger down the card but still had plans for him. However, his contract expired, and without a word, he ran and showed up on the premiere episode of WCW Monday Nitro. Add his history with Miss Elizabeth, and he is not on anyone's WWE Hall of Fame list despite two WCW world title reigns.

4 MISS ELIZABETH

Macho Man Randy Savage was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame after his death. This was a big deal because Savage left WWE on very bad terms and with a lot of rumors surrounding his exit. However, once he died, WWE put him into the Hall of Fame and made sure his accomplishments remained on display for their fans.

However, Miss Elizabeth died a decade earlier and is still not in the WWE Hall of Fame. It is easy to believe that Savage would not have become who he was without Miss Elizabeth by his side. However, her drug overdose that led to her death made her someone WWE has shied away from inducting. But, she deserves it.

3 KAMALA

Koko B. Ware is in the WWE Hall of Fame. The people who say he deserves it are the ones who say he was an entertaining character who had a successful career in the territories before he came to WWE. However, the same can be said for Kamala, who still has never gotten the call to enter the WWE Hall of Fame.

This omission is sad since Kamala could use the money that goes along with the induction. He had his left leg amputated in 2011. In 2012, he lost his right leg. He had heart surgery in 2017. He has struggled late in life but was one of professional wrestling greatest monsters over his career.

2 KING KONG BUNDY

King Kong Bundy worked the main event of WrestleMania II against Hulk Hogan in a steel cage match. He was in one of WrestleMania III's most iconic matches with Hillbilly Jim and several midget wrestlers. He is a legend, but he is not in the WWE Hall of Fame.

It is hard to find people who worked WrestleMania main events who are not in the WWE Hall of Fame. However, seeing Brutus Beefcake in the Hall of Fame while King Kong Bundy died without ever hearing his name called is sobering.

1 MIKE ROTUNDA (IRS)

It seems hard to believe with all the gimmick wrestlers getting into the WWE Hall of Fame, the man who portrayed IRS is still not inducted. What is crazy is that the stage is set for his induction because his two sons -- Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas -- are both WWE superstars and are there to induct him.

In his career, IRS won five world tag team titles, two with Barry Windham as the U.S Express nad three with The Million Dollar Man as Money Inc. Outside of WWE, he was a former NWA world tag team champion with Dr. Death Steve Williams and a three-time NWA TV Champion.
