WWE Announce Huge Debut For TLC

WWE have announced that Asuka will finally make her big debut at TLC - Tables, Ladders, and Chairs - next month.

WWE revealed during the kick off show for No Mercy that Asuka will make her main roster debut at Tables, Ladders, and Chairs next month.

Recently on NXT the brand's longest reigning Women's Champion in history, Asuka dropped a bombshell and relinquished the title that she had held for over 500 days. It was for good reason though. The vacation of the title was accompanied with an announcement which was that Asuka and NXT General Manager William Regal were in talks with both Raw and SmackDown Live regarding the former champion's WWE future.

WWE didn't wait around following that blockbuster announcement. Shortly after on Raw the vignettes teasing Asuka's debut began, while obviously revealing that it was the red brand who had won the fight to sign The Empress of Tomorrow. All the video packages showed were a masked Asuka lurking in the shadows along with the message that she was 'coming soon'. Definitely a case of less is more and certainly enough to build anticipation for the Japanese star's arrival.

There'll be no more guessing as to when exactly the undefeated Asuka will be making her debut any longer though. During the kick off show for Sunday night's No Mercy another vignette aired, but this time a definitive date was given for when we can expect to see Asuka's debut. The Empress will arrive on the main roster for Raw's next pay per view, that being Tables, Ladders, and Chairs on the 22nd of October.

The speculation on when Asuka is going to make her debut can now stop, but what exactly WWE is planning to do with her is still anyone's guess. It has been almost two years since she arrived on the scene in NXT and during that entire run Asuka never lost one match. You would imagine that WWE will keep that run going, at least for a little while, but there is also the very real possibility that she could lose on day one of her time on the main roster.

In a WWE where women's wrestling is bigger and better than ever Asuka truly does have the potential to be one of the company's biggest stars. She has proved that in NXT and now it's just a question of whether it will transfer to Monday nights. In four short weeks Asuka will make that switch and some of our questions will begin to be answered.
