Spawned from the demonic mind of The Undertaker, The Ministry Of Darkness put the fear of the higher power into everyone that crossed them by performing rituals and making sacrifices.

It was potentially the darkest time in The Undertaker's career, but he was not alone. He surrounded himself with minions to do his bidding as to maintain a stranglehold on the WWE roster. While some members were a better fit than others, as a unit, they were a group no one wanted to cross, or they might end up on one.

9 BEST: Paul Bearer

Paul Bearer with urn

The formation of the Ministry Of Darkness began with Paul Bearer turning his back on Kane. While The Undertaker was the mouthpiece of the organization, Bearer was the brains and helped recruit a lot of the members to the group.

Even without the urn, Bearer could control Taker and would regularly accompany him to the ring during bouts or for appearances that tormented the WWE roster. Bearer would be one of the founding members and also one of the last remaining when each of the minions went their separate ways.

8 WORST: Mideon

Formerly known as Dennis Knight, Mideon was a member of two unsuccessful tag teams before joining The Ministry Of Darkness. The Undertaker targetted Knight by ordering The Acolytes to kidnap the wrestler and prepare him for a sacrifice.

Taker would proceed to brainwash and reincarnate Knight as Mideon. However, the new minion would remain an unsuccessful member of the group as he offered no real value. The closest he would get to a championship is when he found the European title in Shane McMahon's bag.

7 BEST: Farooq

After a successful run as the leader of the Nation Of Domination, Farooq would join forces with the hard-hitting Bradshaw to form The Acolytes. They were briefly managed by The Jackyl, who preached that the new tag team would usher in an age of tribulation. But after The Jackyl left the company, The Acolytes would serve The Undertaker.

Farooq would not only compete in tag team bouts but act as an enforcer to intimidate and beat up anyone The Undertaker had a problem with.

6 WORST: Gangrel

Gangrel makes his entrance through the flames

Gangrel arrived on the scene in WWE surrounded by a ring of fire, holding a chalice, and spitting blood into the air. He would go on to form his own stable known as The Brood, which would terrorize the WWE for over a year.

The Undertaker would recruit The Brood to The Ministry Of Darkness after deciding he wanted to own the company and oust Vince McMahon. Gangrel and The Brood felt out of place with the faction and would eventually leave once The Ministry merged with The Corporation.

5 BEST: Bradshaw

When The Acolytes music hit, Bradshaw and Farooq would storm to the ring, looking at their victims with purpose. When they entered the squared circle, they would proceed to beat down their opponents until they pleaded for mercy.

Bradshaw was almost as tall as The Undertaker, and he possessed an intimidating presence that left tag teams looking for cover whenever they were forced to take on the brutal team. Much like Farooq, Bradshaw was enlisted to beat down anyone in The Undertaker's way, and he did an excellent job at doing just that.

4 WORST: Viscera

Viscera, formerly Mable, had only just returned to WWE and was set to compete in the Royal Rumble. But during the pre-show, the 485-pound man was kidnapped by The Undertaker, The Acolytes, and Mideon.

After a night of brainwashing, Viscera would emerge with a bleached blonde mohawk and white eyes that would haunt anyone's dreams. Viscera was another recruit who began as an enforcer before competing in some matches, but despite his size, he didn't bring a lot to the group.

3 BEST: Edge

Recruited to The Ministry Of Darkness as part of The Brood, Edge would get some moments to shine in his new home. While he continued to tag with Christian, Edge and Gangrel were the ones behind The Brood's separation from The Ministry.

No one else had escaped the clutches of The Undertaker, but the trio would turn on The Dead Man and end up banished from the group. After many matches with different members of The Ministry, Edge, Christian, and Gangrel would move on to bigger and better things.

2 WORST: Christian

While a member of The Brood and The Ministry Of Darkness, Christian didn't get an opportunity to showcase his charisma. Christian would often hang in the background wearing his puffy white shirt and interfere when he was required to.

The only moment that Christian would get to shine was when Ken Shamrock attacked and tortured him into giving up Stephanie McMahon's location. The act would cause The Undertaker and The Acolytes to punish Christian, but Edge and Gangrel would come to his aid.

1 BEST: The Undertaker

While there are many debates over the best version of The Undertaker, one that always makes the list is The Ministry Of Darkness version. Even though fans were meant to dislike Taker, his evil demeanor brought a new dimension to the character that helped evolve him from the cartoon version with the purple gloves.

The addition of Paul Bearer and the rest of The Ministry helped Taker live out some of his darkest fantasies such as crucifixions and sacrifices. These had never been seen on WWE TV before and are unlikely to be seen again.
